Great place to get a smog check! Not sure what else to say that hasn't already been said, but SG Smog is extremely efficient. There was one customer ahead of me and the staff member said they would take about 15 mins to finish, however they were finished well before the 15 mins. Either way, there was virtually no wait time and the entire process in general was very speedy. You're in and out within 30 minutes (usually less if there are no others). They also honored the Yelp special price! The person helping me was friendly and easy to communicate with. They are also conveniently located right next to the DMV. If you're looking for a reliable place in the area for a smog check, I recommend this place! read more

I needed to smog my car and was looking for a place to go. My boyfriend had been here before and called ahead for me to ask how much a smog was. They told him it would be $40. I went without him and didn't pay much attention to the price until after I left. They charged me $88!!! For a Hyundai Sonata...... I was given a written quote of $40 flat rate including certificate. When I brought my car the day after, SG SMOG was charging me $48.25 even after showing the written quote. The front desk clerk was insisting that the quote says "Flat Rate" so there are additionals. What SG SMOG did is exactly the opposite of the meaning of the word. Do not waste your time with these business. If they could not honor their written quote, you cannot expect good service from them. read more

I called first to see if there was any deals and there was! I was excited. I spoke to Sonu and he was very nice. I went in, told him about the smog deal he had offered on the phone, and he didn't question me any further. Some places would change the story or try to get me to pay more for hidden fees. I'm giving two stars because this business did what it was supposed to do only. I had called a day before, and a man told me on the phone mention 40 dollar call in rate. I arrived and was in the waiting room 15 minutes standing at the counter before an employee named Robert came in and looked me up and down and spoke passed me to another customer sitting on the couch. He rudely told me 15 minutes. I waited about 20, and he came in. I stepped back up to the counter, and he spoke passed me again to some people that entered the room after me and said, "Aren't you before him. They said no, he was here first. He then continued to do paperwork. He finally said, "Give me your key please. I explained that I got a call-in rate of 40 bucks over the phone. He pointed at the prices on the wall and said I wasn't here yesterday. I then got pissed and said, "Let's call the owner. He said I'll honor the price. But then, I kept coming in and saying I wasn't here yesterday? I'm not sure what him being there yesterday has to do with honoring a price that is all over your Yelp reviews? I understand that everyone has an off day, but I did see a review on this business talking about someone very rude and can't help but think it's this same guy. Robert is not customer service material. If you care about your business. Keep him in the back doing smogs. read more

Great place! I have gone here everytime my wife's car needed a smog. The guys are great, it's super clean and comfortable and they have great and reasonable rates. They even sell snacks and drinks and have pastries from a bakery and other snacks available. This is a no brainer folks. If anything ever changes when I go there and service slips I'd be the first to let you know. However under this owner he prides himself on cleanness, professionalism and work ethic.
