They installed the tank for $1900. we paid $400.00 more for his tank, IT DOES NOT HAVE A 8 YEAR WARRANTY AND WE DID NOT RECEIVE A SENIOR DISCOUNT. I will edit this review gladly if he gives us a senior discount, even though Don claims he paid more for the tank he did not pay $1600. for it, I'm sure he made a good profit.

Asked him to work a gas fitting and water line job for some new appliances. To quote the job he arrived at our house ontime within an hour of meeting him and gave a good comprehensive walk through of the job. Gave a reasonable, fair price and we agreed we would get it done when Fortis installed gas at our house in late September. Job was worth $400-$600 of gas fitting and water line installations. We removed the appliances from our kitchen and waited for his install. Booked him on September 21 and he advised a Tuesday 8:30 start on Sept 27. He texted me at 8:04 am on the 27th and said he would come the next day. He did not show up to work. I have called and texted him multiple times and received no response. He completely abandoned the job with no notice. This Plumber left a family of 5 high and dry with no cooking appiances or fridges in their kitchen for over four days. Disgraceful.

The problem is with the owner and his business model. He will not provide an itemized invoice of costs - Just one line for 'total labor' (no rate or duration) and one line for 'total parts' on an invoice for over $1100. The person who answers the phone, who books your job and knows the details of the work done, says he has 'nothing to do with the invoice' (how interesting!) - that's done by the owner Aaron De Yaeger who refused a written request for an itemized cost of parts. As for payment you are not advised ahead of time that they don't take VISA and don't bother driving to the address on the invoice to pay cash. It's a lovely residence. There is NO STORE, no shop, no face to face customer service. Hopefully the plumbers get a fair % of the labor charged because after some effort we learned that we paid $165/hr which is well above the 2026 provincial rate range for BC red seal journeyman plumbers. I would really like to be able to recommend this local business but while they claim they are keeping costs down that does not transfer to the customer.

The other businesses either told me to give them a call at another number, didn't respond, or gave a quote but without much details. Derek messaged me back with a detailed breakdown of the cost to fix it depending on what the issue is and approximately how long it would take, and also when his next availability was. Thus I was able to book a time to get my leak fixed and a good idea of how much and how long it would take with no hassle. He arrived day of, got right down to work and was very nice and professional the whole time. My newly installed garburator has been functioning perfectly and I've had no further issues for the past couple months! Easy, fast, straightforward, friendly, and with a knowledgable professional. Three weeks later one of the sink drains they worked on got a clog (this was a coincidence) and so we brought them back out and they cleared the clog plus recommended a small replacement to a p-trap which we also proceeded with. This service included a $65 charge (in addition to their labor cost) for them to use a drain auger. I thought this was a bit odd because it's s standard tool that every plumber has in their truck. 3 days after their work on the clogged drain the same sink backed up again. When I called them to have this remedied they basically said it wasn't their fault and there would be additional labor and an additional charge to use the auger. I declined to bring them back out and will explore other options in the future.
