I stopped in for a business meeting and let me just tell you if you love good barbecue or if you love Bourbon you need to check this place out. I didn't have a lot of time so I just got the brisket sandwich and it was amazing. I actually ask if they sold their barbecue sauce, but they don't yet. I went to Hoosier Que a couple months back, and truly don't know why I didn't leave a review. A friend of mine and myself went on a Wednesday evening for his birthday. I had heard they had a great selection of bourbon and it was relatively close to my place so we decided to go. It was a slow night for them, basically we had the place to ourselves until a few people showed up to play the golf simulators. First the selection was amazing, they had almost every bottle you could think of. The prices were good! Very reasonable. Especially considering the range of bourbon they had. Everything from your everyday drinker to your highly allocated bottles. We were the only ones in the bar so the waitress was extremely patient, attentive, and friendly. The food was excellent! I met Brian Mayo briefly as he had to go but as we chatted I could tell he loves his bourbon, we probably talked for 15 minutes before he had to go. His excitement for bourbon was palpable, you could tell this guy really enjoyed it. He explained that he is always trying to keep the bar fully stocked, and loves doing it. Very nice guy. Decent quality and able to handle volume. They rolled up to an outdoor work meeting and handled 50+ orders back to back in no time. They have a smoker right on the back of the truck and come prepared to serve. Between the lot of us, everything on the menu was sampled. Nobody had any complaints. I had the hot links. We went to Hoosier Que and their Bourbon bar on May 17, 2024. I had the brisket, crezmy coleslaw, and fries; while my wife had the barbecue chopped chicken sandwich, creamy coleslaw, and fries. Both entrees were really good, the meats were cooked nicely, the fries were golden and crispy. The only improvement we'd suggest would be some salt and pepper in the coleslaw, but that was a simple remedy as we just added it ourselves. As for the bourbon options: they offered over 400 expressions and at very reasonable prices! They even offer half ounce pours! I had about 4 different expressions throughout my meal, but I began with a Barrell Seagrass (rye) that was filled with wonderful rye notes and complimented my brisket nicely. A shout out to the owners son, Blake! He did a great job serving us, giving us information, and was well versed in bourbon and whiskey! Food is fantastic! I usually get either wings, mac and cheese, fries, or brisket. Wonderful service with assertive and kind employees. The setting is wonderful with a bar, outdoor dining, and indoor eating. Every Friday the restaurant does karaoke either indoors or outdoors, dependent on the weather. I attended a networking event at Hoosier Que this evening. The atmosphere was cozy and the pork barbecue and coleslaw were both delicious. They also offer Karaoke every Friday night and live music on Saturday evenings. read more

We catered a party using Hoosier Que and were beyond impressed with the service provided and quality of the food. Stand outs for us were definitely the brisket (both chopped and sliced are excellent) as well as the sides. Potato salad is some of the best I've ever had and the poblano Mac and cheese is so flavorful without being too spicy or competing with the flavors of the meat. Hoosier Que is a great addition to the Foxcliff community. We have always had tasty meals there (the chicken wings are out of this world!). The staff is very friendly. I can't rate their food because their food truck wasn't there, only a cargo van. Sorry but that's super misleading. I expected to have my food prepared for me, not a prepackaged lunch that has been sitting in a warming cabinet.
