5 stars to our waitress Donna for her constant positive energy and smile. This cute spot overlooking the beach is super popular but wasn't busy in this cloudy April morning. The breakfast sandwich with avocado, cheese and sausage was grilled with buttery rye bread. The healthy choice for poached eggs and fruit was not prepared right the first time. Donna quickly took the eggs back and returned them perfectly cooked. I was not a fan of the potatoes . They needed more seasoning . Be sure to make a reservation especially in season. read more

I had an absolutely delicious breakfast at the queen bean bistro. Surprisingly one of the standouts was the bread. I believe it was a sourdough, and it was probably the freshest I've ever had in my life. Even the butter on the bread tasted special. For breakfast I ordered the French omelette which was deliciois. I've never had Boursin cheese in an omelette before, but this is something I'll absolutely want to try at home. It made for a very rich, creamy and flavorful dish. My potatoes were perfectly seasoned and again - the bread! It was so good. My boyfriend had the pancakes and he really enjoyed them. The seasonal fruit was also a nice touch. I believe I had some kind of cinnamon latte. It was very tasty. I couldn't stop myself from finishing it before the food came. overall I highly recommend this is definitely a great place to get breakfast if you're in Atlantic City. My friends and I stopped in for some breakfast during our trip to Atlantic City and were blown away by this place Don't skip the lattes, my boyfriend enjoyed his so much he ordered a second one. I had the Queen Bean latte and he ordered the Bees Knees, both so delicious. For my main I had ordered the staff recommended Western Omelette. The omelette came with pork butt, Jack cheese, caramelized onions, and peppers. The dish was accompanied by their roasted potatoes and farm bread with butter. Everything was cooked beautifully. My boyfriend got the Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich, you can't go wrong with a classic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the space was cozy and comforting. This is a nice bistro located on the boardwalk in Ventnor. It's on the ground floor of a condo community. The food is GOOD and with plentiful portions. The prices are steep but it's worth it to treat yourself. The staff is pretty nice. The scrappy chicken sandwich at lunch is amazing! The teas and coffees are solid. The scones are delicious. Poor experience in a restaurant? Best advice, let your family and friends know and never return. We were shown to a table along the windows. Seating was a bare wood bench running along the windows with a cold window for a backrest. Table was at least 18" from the bench and couldn't be moved and I couldn't lean back. Waitress' tone deaf response to my complaint, "my pleasure" and "we're getting pads". About 3/4 through the meal with our table full of dishes we were offered to move to another table. Joke. Just wanted to finish eating, pay the bill and get out, which is exactly what I did. Too many great dining options here in South Jersey to be subjected to this kind of treatment. BTW- no restroom in sight and had to exit onto the cold boardwalk in order to leave. We eat out every weekend but this was my first and last visit to QB. read more

We made a reservation since we were a party of six for 1030AM on a Wednesday and out hosts knew there is limited seating. The Waiting area was the entry way to the condos above so the awkward dodging people was less than fun . Service was spectacular besides forgetting our coffees by the time our entrees arrive, it was a simple mistake and quickly fixed. Restrooms were their own treasure hunt in the rustic building. Food was served together and they do charge a split plate as my kids eat adult meals but both wanted the campfire French toast. One person orders eggs well done and boy were they WellDone. So be careful what you wish for. I had the French omelet and was less impressed as it was not the fluffy egg but flat omelette with slabs of cream cheese slices and copious mushrooms. My MIL loved her avocado toast and added an extra egg on top. Overall, we were a demanding table but they dealt with us with kindness and generosity. We confirmed that they are open year around so will return when it isn't 90-100 degrees outside. read more

Breakfast was a definite 5 stars -- very good all around. Dinner, on the other hand, was closer to 3 stars. The food and service were good, but not great. The atmosphere was lacking; I should have known after going for breakfast, but I expected something with softer lighting and maybe some light music. Instead, it felt more like a deli setup, which made the prices feel high for what you get. Bottom line: Breakfast -- yes, highly recommend. This is going to be your new favorite breakfast/lunch spot, and I hesitate to even tell anyone how good it is because once people find out about it getting a table will be impossible. But the owner and chef, Sal, is such a creative, hardworking and innovative genius in the kitchen that everyone needs to experience this - even if I have to wait a little longer to get my Smoky Westerner omelette. The bread is homemade, the lattes are ridiculous, and everything on the menu is worth giving a try to find your favorite. Let's get to it, the food! I tried their Smokey Western Omelette. The pork butt really drew me in within this dish when I read the description on the menu. As expected, the pork butt offered a salty and savory flavor to this dish. Pork butt can be served a number of different ways, think thinly sliced ham bits within and omelette-as far as presentation. There's a touch of spice within this dish, which surprised me. The caramelized onions offered a nice sweet contrasting flavor. I opted for bread as a side and was pleasantly surprised when I was served fresh herb infused bread. The bread was great! Lastly, I also opted for potatoes, and I really like how they were cooked. Not every restaurant can make GOOD potatoes ( IYKYK). These potatoes were crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, the perfect balance in my opinion. The views: This place pairs my two favorite things, great views of the beach and great food! Parking: Being that they're located on the board walk, neighboring street parking is available. As a Black woman, I have never experienced the level of blatant disrespect, hostility, and disregard that I encountered at Queen Bean Bistro in Ventnor City. What was supposed to be a simple breakfast turned into one of the most humiliating, alarming, and unsettling experiences I've ever had at a place of business. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that I was not welcomed. The energy shifted instantly, and I felt like I had stepped into a time where my presence alone was a problem. I inquired about a vegan and gluten-free French toast option, and was immediately told by a staff member that it didn't exist -- only for me to turn the menu over and find it clearly listed. When I questioned this, she casually claimed it was "something new," though it was obviously printed on the menu. If you are serving food -- particularly to those with real dietary restrictions and health concerns -- you should be well-versed in your own offerings. That lack of care was already unacceptable. Despite the uncomfortable atmosphere, I attempted to give them a chance. The waitress brought my drink to the table by practically slamming it down without a word of courtesy and with an attitude that made it clear I was unwelcome. I decided in that moment that I would not tolerate this type of treatment, quietly gathered my belongings, and left. What followed was nothing short of appalling. As I was walking down the boardwalk, the owner of the restaurant chased me down, yelling and cursing at me about the food I had ordered -- not once asking why I left or if something had gone wrong. His behavior was aggressive, confrontational, and completely unprofessional. He used profanity and directed racially charged, hateful language toward me. I was alone, and as a Black woman, I felt unsafe, targeted, and completely disregarded not just as a customer, but as a human being. This type of behavior is dangerous, unacceptable, and has no place in any community -- let alone in a business that serves the public. I will be reporting this incident to every appropriate agency, as no person should ever be made to feel threatened, degraded, or devalued while patronizing a business. The owner's actions were not only offensive but deeply disturbing and should be a concern to anyone considering supporting this establishment. I urge anyone, especially those from marginalized communities, to avoid this place entirely. No meal is worth subjecting yourself to discrimination, mistreatment, and complete disregard for your dignity and safety. read more

My girlfriend and I went last Fri. Got there 5:20 pm, we were only ones there. Were told that we couldn't have a window with ocean view because they were reserved. Finished dinner at 6:45 and still only ones there! Red flag! My veal was tough and girlfriend's pasta was cold. Server said folks don't arrive until 7:30 pm. Yeah right. And it closes at 9 pm! I live in Ventnor heights and used to always go to Agnes'. Although they're great... this place is awesome. It's so pretty. Right on the boardwalk. Pet friendly. The food was AMAZING (please don't ever change your toast!!) We were there today for breakfast. I was catching up with an old co-worker of mine and at NO TIME did we feel rushed. It was a really nice outing in a long time, where I had no complaints at all. In today's time, customer service has taken a downward swing and business owners are nickle and diming you every chance they get. This was not that kind of place. Support local businesses!!! Very convenient location whether someone is a resident of Vassar Square condominiums or walking around in Ventnor. There are many breakfast and lunch choices - including vegetarian. We have not eaten there for dinner yet. Prices are average for a seasonal place with very good food, great service and a nice atmosphere. It is possible to eat outside, weather permitting. read more
