This is a followup to a review I left last year. Dr. Shaaf performed cataract surgery on both my eyes last Fall, 2020. I was thrilled with the results then and am happy to say, over a year later my vision is still great! Dr. Shaaf is so professional and caring. He is such a great doctor! His staff is wonderful too. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Prendiville and his staff. His staff is knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. Dr. Prendiville is amazing! He explained my issues in a manner I could understand, gave me options and his staff scheduled my treatment in a timely manner. I have been wearing glasses/contacts since I was a child. I dont understand the negetive reviews on here....When i scheduled 1st appt receptionist was very helpful/ friendly. She recommended certain drops to help until my appt time the following week. I found Dr Shaaf to be very thorough explaining causes/ treatments for my eyes. I found him & his staff to be professional & quite friendly as well. I also did not have to wait past my appt time... If I could give less than one star, I would. The staff is rude and unaccommodating - all the way up to the doctor who was impatient with my partner when he expressed discomfort with the procedure being done on his eyes. Afterward, full payment on our account was twice "misplaced" by the billing accountant - first time by credit card, second time by check. On both instances, we received past due notices, and it was left to me to prove that payment had been made. When I asked for a receipt indicating zero balance on the account, I was given attitude by the woman who answered the phone - as if she were the one being inconvenienced. Our optometrist referred us to this provider. We plan to contact her and advise that she stop doing so - based on these inexcusable and unprofessional behaviors. Avoid this doctor and his practice. Dr Prendiville has has always been exceptionally professional and attentive as far as I am concerned. He dealt with my annual eye checks and now also with with some required eye lid surgery. Dr. Prendeville's manner and his warmth are second only to his skill as a surgeon. My cataracts had grown and I was losing my sight, frankly I was scared. But from our first meeting I knew I had found the best surgeon. He operated on both my eyes, finessing the lenses I needed, so that now I have remarkable eyesight. Shout out to Dr. Mehdi Shaaf and his staff, especially Lisa. My 72 year old eyes now mimic youthful eyes. Cataract surgery on both eyes with Symfony toric lenses gives me 20/20 vision and I can read without reading glasses. Dr. Shaaf placed a Glaukos eye stent in each eye during cataract surgery to lessen glaucoma eye pressure to now a normal of 14. Dr. Shaaf is meticulous in his care and treatment and his results show.
