I owned a classic luxury car, paid cash for it in PA and drove it to TX and registered it in TX. A commercial truck hit my car. Received an insurance check to repair it (my ins. deductable: $1,000) All my life i never used credit. My score was ZERO. Shabana Motors sold me a 15 year old car, (who's book value was $7K). Purchase value: $14K,(plus high interest) and well over 100,000 miles. but it had a 2 year warranty or 20 miles. my credit score jumped immediately to 630 after 4 payments. I felt lucky to get the car fixed for free a few times during the warranty period. and again within the ending period of the two-yr warranty, (yet my mileage was way past warranty.) YES, i felt damn lucky to have this car and service from a dealership, and very greatfull too. i had financial difficulties. Finance department worked with me. Very nice person. Very nice to me as well.I had a couple of repairs. took out personal, then later payday loans to fix the car. Then one day, (remember, ive only had the vehicle 2 years, and still owed 2 more years in payments) my engine just...messed up. im on foot. i lost both jobs i had immediately. i lost everything.i lost my apartment. staying with a friend. im a burden to my friend, but im trying to find work again. my car got volantarily repoed. losing my apartment will black me out for 7 years for apartments. losing my car will black me out for 7 years for purchases. i cannot find work with good pay without a car. Im ruined. and yet, im waiting to see if this dealership, not only puts my remaining balance into collections...but will the collection agency sue me. so if youre hear wondering if Shabanna Motors is a good company or not? I would like to share my recent experience in hopes of promoting transparency and encouraging stronger oversight within the dealership. While I'm ultimately satisfied with my vehicle and appreciative of the support I received from Mr. Abdul and Edward, my overall experience was unfortunately impacted by the conduct of one particular employee. ....Please steer clear of Mrs. Shawn!! She's a scammer, bully, liar and manipulator. She's very deceptive, rude, ghetto and unprofessional. She will finesse & falsify your paperwork and ask for a larger down payment $2000 or more to pocket the money under the table. She will write her friend's name down on your application as if they referred you to also pocket the $500 referral fee fraudulently. Additionally, I believe there may be a concerning connection between Mrs. Shawn, Mrs. Maria, and other individuals in the payments department, raising further questions about her being able to have them print checks on demand. When I brought these concerns to management, rather than being addressed calmly and professionally, Mrs. Shawn reacted with hostility--yelling, getting in my face, and behaving in a manner that I found loud, aggressive, and entirely inappropriate for a customer service setting. Several other staff members appeared visibly uncomfortable, which suggests that this may be a broader issue that warrants further attention. The staff here is literally terrified of this wicked individual. I showed proof, asked for the cameras to be pulled, and she still was still able to manipulate her way out. I respectfully recommend that senior management, particularly Mr. Abdul, review this matter closely. Ensuring integrity and accountability at all levels will help protect future customers from similar experiences and uphold the dealership's reputation. Despite these challenges, I sincerely appreciate Mr. Abdul for eventually taking the time to meet with me and help rectify part of the situation. Glen was helpful and kind. He seemed eager to help us. We came to the dealership two days in a row. The second day we came was only because the finance manager requested Glen call my husband to inquire on how he could earn his business. The finance manager, Javier was extremely rude, prejudice and predatory. My husband expressed interest in a couple of vehicles. Glen told us a reasonable down payment for one vehicle. My husband asked to speak with the finance manager. We could tell that Javier was annoyed at the request once he approached the table. He did not greet my husband or bother to introduce himself. He only stated "you wanted to speak with me?" The down payment magically doubled once Javier approached the table and the price quoted on a 2016 Escalade was 8k over market value. We don't understand what changed from when my husband was called in, to when we were seated at the negotiation table, but it is disappointing and disgusting. From watching Javier's interactions with other ethnicities, we could only wonder if we were not the right color. Don't patronize a business that discriminates and price gouges. This place is an absolute scam, avoid at all costs. They will prey on people with bad credit, ESL, and people who are unable to attain traditional financing. They do not check cars at all before selling. A car that was purchased in June 2022. I head a noise two months later and brought it to their service center. I was told differing things. First that the brakes were the problem and they needed to be changed. I was then told this was wear and tear. Two months the brakes go out after I was assured I was being sold a used car that has undergone safety and mechanical checks, and that is normal wear and tear? The same person stated there was over 30% life left on the brakes. Another noise concerned me but was repeatedly told it was the brakes but they still had life. 4 months after purchasing the car the wheel bearing malfunctioned, which accounts for the second noise that was noted but not apparently important enough of an issue for their service center to check. When I went to tap the brakes, they completely failed due to the faulty wheel bearing and I lost control of the car. The insurance that I was forced to purchased only through their company has the value of the car I purchased 4 months ago at 10k while the purchase price was 18k. The gap insurance that o was also forced to purchase of course covered their price gouging, but now I am left with injuries, no car, higher premiums. Any time they force you to use their bundles services you know this is a scam. As I was leaving the facility after picking up my belongings and being insulted by the staff while talking about this incident, another person who was walking in lamented that the exact incident happened to them. When I attempted to bring a friend who is more knowledgeable to advocate for me, they attempted to say that she could not be present and attempted to remove us from the facility. They don't abide by laws or safety and will use any way possible to prey on people. When asked to be shown what law prevents someone else from being present, miraculously my friend was able to be present with me. When I went to pick up my belongings, I was able to see their head on collision graveyard, hundreds of cars that look exactly like mine, probably the same exact situation. If you want to be preyed on and taken advantage of, to possibly be driving an extremely dangerous car be they want to make back end money through their insurances, and possibly end up dead due to a horrendous accident, by all means buy a car from the scam Shabana Motors. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews that I've read. My experience is totally different. I purchased a Lexus ES 350 from Shabana a few years ago, and I never had any issues with the vehicle. Everyone was professional and nice. A couple of years ago, I traded the vehicle in for a new car. I still miss my Lexus. If I ever need to purchase a vehicle from Shabana, I will do it again without hesitation. By the way, I had very low monthly payments. The car was in excellent condition, interior and exterior. I'm a single mother who purchased a car from shabana on 3/16/2020. I had car insurance until 3/2022.. I couldn't afford to pay the insurance any longer due to my health issues and I wasn't able to work anymore. On 1/5/2023 I was going out to get a new walker. And the smoked started to come through the vents. So I pulled off to the side of the highway and struggled to get out of the car. Then I open the hood and saw that the engine was on fire.. I then called 911 to get the fire department to come.. I know that I wasn't supposed to be driving but I need a new walker. My only mode of transportation was destroyed.. i did some research and found out that the car I brought from shabana which was a Hyundai 2013 Tuson was on the recall list. I was in shock!. I called Shabana insurance and it to 2 hours to finally get someone on the phone... I explained what happened just like I am explaining now.. and they didn't even know that Hyundai had any recalls...the insurance agent Vanessa at shabana was really rude and didn't care about me as a human being.. I could have lost my life that day and my children would have been without a mother. I was told that in the state of Texas that if you own a car the car company is supposed to have insurance to cover the lost of a vehicle.. I was told by the insurance agent that that couldn't help me.. So my only mode of transportation is gone.. so for anyone that is interested in buying a vehicle for Shabana or any other used car lot... do your research and for recalls.. I bought a car from here and it was the worst decision I made. I live EXTREMELY far from Shabana motors, so if I was experiencing problems that affected the way the car drove, it's not like I'd be able to drive it back down there to get it looked at because it was a 45 minute drive. Before I bought the car, i was scheduled an appointment. I forgot the name of the Salesperson so let's call her Annie. When I arrived, I let them know I had an appointment with Annie and I waited for about 20 minutes. A man finally came to me and let me know that Anna would not be showing up and that he'd help me out. I get it, things happen, but she had my number and could have contacted me. I had to Uber there, and if I didn't get a car that day, I would've wasted $60 on uber there and back. I ended up leaving with a car. Afterwards, a few weeks after taking the car home, I was experiencing a misfire on my Toyota Corolla. When I would call, no answer. Luckily, my father in law fixed it for me. I ended up getting into a really bad accident which ended up totaling the car. Since they had me get my insurance through the dealership, I got my car towed to my house after the accident and I tried calling to speak with their insurance representatives but no matter how many times I called or what time I called, I got no answer and they do not have a voicemail set up. The car ended up sitting in my garage for about 4 months until I FINALLY got an answer from them. When I told them about the situation, they blamed me for not reaching out earlier.. the audacity 4 months... without a car... getting no answers.... and STILL paying the car note and she had the audacity to blame me for not calling sooner I will NEVER go back. My experience was positive and beneficial. Back in 2014, I had looked high and low for a good and reliable vehicle, but I was turned down because of insufficient credit. So I knew I needed to somehow find a second chance or in house finance company in order to build a good car credit history. I was ready and prepared to put a nice amount down payment (3000.00) and deal with all the craziness that comes with getting a car through non-transitional finance company. My main focus, going into a deal, was to pay my car note on-time, buy the car, and build a positive credit history. Thanks to Shabana, my plans were well executed. 2014, I financed a 2008 Acura TL with a high mileage of 115,000 and the car has been reliable and has took my family to far places and back. I paid my car note on-time and encountered (literally) minimum problems with the company. My on-time payments were reported to the credit bureau every month, which made my score go up. I paid my last note 11/2017 and have been car note free since then. Today (2019), I still have my car with a 177,000 miles and travels, everyday, from Houston to the Woodland for work. Now, I am thinking about passing my car down to my daughter who just graduated from high school and get another car. I think I am going for a Lexus this time (still trying to decide). ADVISE (whether you're going to Shabana or anywhere else): 1) If you're not bank financing a car, don't expect Stella customer service. 2) Be prepared to put down, at least, 2500 down on a good and reliable car. Test drive the car and envision yourself in that car for the next 3 1/2 years or so. (what you love, you will keep and do right by it) 3) Find a vehicle that you know you can pay off. If you're making 30,000 a year, don't go and get a Lexus or Mercedes Benz, even if a salesperson talk you into it. RUN FAST! This dealership is a joke. They rip you off, don't uphold their end of the deal and then they won't take your car in trade because you owe too much! They harass you when your payment is a day late ~ the whole place and everyone there is shady. I have reached out to the owner and president and they ignored me. Please take my advice and buy a car from anywhere else but here!
