Really great casual spot for Thai food. They serve sushi too, but to be honest, I didn't love the sushi as much. I highly recommend the drunken noodles and pad thai from their noodles section. The beef drunken noodles were juicy and not dry at all, so flavorful, and sooo good. My friend got the pad Thai and I tried some and it was also juicy and flavorful. The wok edamame was fantastic!! Get it! That sauce is incredible on the edamame and it's amaazing. I got the tom yum soup and it was pretty good, tangy just what a tom yum soup should be like. The sushi just wasn't my favorite. I think the rice is a little mushy instead of that crisp short gain Japanese rice, so I'd stick to the Thai food. Large parking lot so no issues with parking here. read more

My friends and I got lunch here on a weekday. We were pretty easily able to get a table for the big group of us. Our server was great and was very helpful with us choosing what we wanted for our meals. I got the Hosomaki Combo with a Salmon Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. It's one of their lunch specials. My boyfriend also got their lunch special Shrimp Drunken Noodles. My sushi was good, but a little on the expensive side even for the lunch special. The Drunken Noodles didn't have very much flavor or any spice at all and also was a smaller portion since it was the lunch size which made it expensive as well. Not totally worth the price for everything in my opinion. The vibe and ambiance of the restaurant is great though, and it was a pretty easy place to go for a lunch in the middle of the work day. The server was fantastic and so was the food. I had crab Rangoon and green curry, with a perfectly made Arnold Palmer to wash it all down. They give you the smallest serving of rice, I'd say the amount i usually serve to my 5yo at home, think a kids scoop of ice cream. I was pleasantly surprised. I saw this place had great reviews, but still you never know. I saw good reviews on a Japanese restaurant called Sapporo in Gallatin, and it was atrocious. Also, I'm weary of sushi places that serve other cuisines like Thai and Chinese. Having said that, this place did not disappoint. We had sushi as well as the phad thai and it was all delicious. I come from Northern California where great Asian restaurants are abundant. I was happy to know, that if I needed a sushi fix of good quality, I can find it here in Nashville. I recommend ordering the Phad Thai and any of the special rolls. It was all delicious. Our server was also super friendly! read more

The Eastern Peak has delicious Asian food - fusion of Thai, Japanese, and Chinese. I tried the Thai food and I was impressed. The fried rice was juicy and flavorful, sometimes at some places, fried rice can be too dry and does not have too much flavor, but it hit the spot here. I got the basil chicken fried rice and every bite was so good. They have a couple of different fried rice options and meats you can select. The Tom Yum fried rice intrigued me so I will have to check that out next time. If you are looking for appetizers for the table, get the Wok edamame (I recommend this over the normal edamame)! The Wok edamame has sesame oil, chili, and garlic, and it made the flavors pop and our whole table really enjoyed it. My friend got chicken teriyaki and rice and I tried a piece and it was pretty good. The side salad and miso soup was refreshing. Service was great and fast and our waitress gave great recommendations. No reservations, but our wait was not bad for a Friday night - 30 minutes. Bland, tasteless, and zero love or care put into the food.... The dumplings were missing, there was no sauce on the pad Thai, no peanuts, and no egg - it was just overcooked noodles and chicken?, Rice box was half filled and overcooked, red curry was meh, sushi was tiny. First time ordering from here and was excited to get home to eat my sushi rolls and Crab Rangoons. Placed online and it mentioned Hand Roll so I thought I want them to hand roll them. I get home and get the rolls out and they looked like these Ice Cream rolls. The seaweed was on the outside and they weren't what I was expecting and didn't even want to eat them. I called them and talk to Eric the manager and he understood and asked did I order Hand Roll and I said yes and come to find out that was the "Hand Roll" version of the rolls and I was disappointed in myself for not knowing since it was my fault but Eric was amazing and said they would remake them for me as the original roll version. This place is restaurant is a fusion between Thai and Japanese cuisine. It's about 15 minutes away from the airport and in the cut so a good place to sit down and eat right after a long flight, especially if you're trying to avoid Nashville traffic. I love great food! This please was so good I went back the next day. Asked the bartender to recommend a few, ordered one of my favorite and 2 of his and he made an excellent recommendation. Loved them all. Great staff, amazing lunch time bartender, so personable and loved that he remembered me from he day before and what I ordered. Just had really disappointing meal at Eastern Peak on Thompson Lane. They have stopped offering pork katsu don (though it is still on the menu). Instead I ordered tom yum fried rice which was so salty it was inedible. The manager gave me a 50% discount for the entree (I didn't eat anything close to half of this salty disaster) but he couldn't be bothered to come over and speak with me. We eat at Eastern peak about once month. This was the first time we have had an issue with the food or the service. Sad. read more

I used to go here 2-3 times a week for lunch. The food is good with an extensive menu. The service though, is inconsistent. I walked in twice recently - once the wait staff just looked at me and kept talking to each other, the second time I was seated and waited while four staffers were too busy on their phones or folding napkins to bother with me. We have been searching for great Chinese food in Nashville, and so I found myself at the Eastern Peak one afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was reasonably busy on a Friday afternoon, and we were seated quickly. We placed an order for a crab Rangoon appetizer, and it arrived quickly. Although the price seemed high for six crab Rangoons, I will say these were the best crab Rangoons I have found yet here in Nashville, and the sweet and sour sauce served alongside was delicious. We ordered our entrees from the lunch menu, and waited what seemed to be a long time for our lunch to arrive, but we each enjoyed our meals once they arrived. We tried the Orange chicken, chicken teriyaki, and the Thai basil chicken. I would like to return and try some of the other menu items. We went for a friend's birthday and had must have come at the perfect time because we had zero wait and no reservations. The happy hour menu was still available so that was awesome. My server was amazing. The food was tasty too. I had spicy tuna roll and dumplings from the happy hour menu and it was great. I also got the eastern peak roll and it was fire. I have stayed true to a firm and structured grading scale since day 1 on Yelp. 5 stars is as good as you can get, and 1 star is the worst. So 5 stars means you are perfect, no complaints, and 1 star means I have nothing good to say. 3 stars is average in every sense of the way. Eastern Peak was that. Menu was good and what was expected. I liked it was not too too large, and pitching themselves as an Asian fusion, it makes sense they would have thai and sushi and Chinese etc. We were feeling sushi, and I love sashimi, so we ordered 2 rolls, 4 orders of sashimi, and a dessert. The rolls were the best part. The fish was fresh, rolled well, not too overly sauced, and normal size. The sashimi I thought was decent. The unagi in particular with the way it was cooked and the BBQ sauce they had on it was awesome, but other than the white fish not great, and salmon nothing special either. We liked that they had green tea ice cream, and it was a nice light dessert to finish. What made it a bit tough for me was the price. For all that I would have expected it to be about $75 after tip. It was $100. We have a sushi place near our house where we get almost double the food for the same price. Overall, I would go back because I love sushi, but I also would suggest if you had to pick to find somewhere a bit more specialized and more evenly priced.
