Awesome Experience!! Trying shabu for a date was fun. The first time we were there for sushi to go, but I was watching the people at the tables-so we came back the next day for dinner. There are videos on the TVs that help educate. The staff is helpful. The food is delicious. The atmosphere was great. Shabushi is handicap accessible. The bathrooms were clean. Parking is in a lot. Prices are reasonable. The two of us ate for around fifty dollars. Order the cucumber salad!!!!

Everything was amazing! My husband and I are super picky when it comes to sushi and this restaurant impressed us to say the least. Gotta try their spider roll. Best we've had. The presentation was a work of art.

This was a fantastic experience. My daughter chose this for her birthday lunch and we did the Shabu lunch which tasted great. I got the spicy chicken broth and she got the pork broth. The spice level was perfect and the meat and vegetables were spot on. The waiting staff was very friendly and walked us through the process. The burners at the table were efficient and cooked the food nicely. It was easy to talk and had plenty of light and parking. I love mushrooms and bok Choy asked for more as the vegetables are unlimited. They brought me the perfect amount of each and my chicken broth turned into a chicken mushroom broth and tasted wonderful. The dipping sauces were great and we had a spider roll that was prepared perfectly. We will be back again.

Wonderful. Had shabu, sashimi, and a specialty roll. All were great. Poky now has a handful of sushi/fusion restaurants, and this by far is my favorite. Hot tea was good -- a nice heavy samovar. Very clean. Will absolutely come again.

Love love love that pocatello got a hot pot place!! Hot pot essentially allows you to cook your own meat, seafood, vegetables at your table in a broth of your choosing. You can then dip it in sauces and have rice with it. It's common in Asia where hot pot is a communal dining experience. Definitely try it out. Also tried the sushi and it is by far the best sushi in town. Fresh and several options you normally don't see in pocatello like Ikura (salmon eggs) or Naruto (cucumber wrapped, no rice) sushi. They're currently understaffed (as everyone) so be extra kind and patient!

The wreckage of a delicious Shabu experience.

Really Unique, Really Delicious, Fantastic Service. Best dinner date in a long time. The whole experience was fabulous! The owner was so nice, he personally came to our table and taught us how to Shabu.

This place was fantastic! I visited with the owner Thaw for a minute and he was a great guy. It was a totally unique dinner experience. Must try

If I was fishing all day on the Snake River, this place would absolutely HIT! (....do I fish? No…read more But I imagine if I did, SnakeBite would be peak post fishing day food!) if you're a fried pickle fan, you have to order these! I'm pretty sure they lightly sprinkled some ranch seasoning on them and now I'm refusing to eat them any other way! The other highlight was the skillet cookie, which we downed like a pack of hungry wolves! Warm, gooey and yet crispy with creamy vanilla ice cream! chefs kiss

WHAT HAPPENED: When they're busy, they typically don't have enough servers on. This was something we had already been warned about, and got to witness it first hand. Also, without informing us, they charge for soda refills! Seems as if the server was padding the check, because we had three young kids with us, and they drink soda. I had a couple of beers that I expected to be charged for, but my other half's coffee refills? I mean come on. The place is overly priced to begin with, the food was not fantastic. They were riding on their legacy name. Surviving by tourist seasons of the Innocent unsuspecting. I only gave two stars because I can't say the food was bad, I can only say that the experience was not worth the bill. To be fair, I did see the prices before we ordered and did not hesitate. However, those prices raised my expectations.

I tend to like authentic chinese, and this place is indeed american chinese, but I thought I'd give it a shot. There were a lot of menu items I avoided - I knew I wouldn't like anything that screamed american chinese, but I found they had hot pots and a few spicy dishes that I might prefer. I said I wanted their spicy beef - extra spicy (the hot pot I wanted to try as was). When asked "1 to 10?", I said definitely 10 - as hot as you'll go. Well, it arrived at what I would call a 2, and barely that. But they were very good at bringing out some chili paste, and that made it a very nice medium spiced dish. Both dishes were very tasty, and I told my spouse I would be quite willing to come again, especially since it is just across a street from out business mailbox.

I make my annual pilgrimage to the springs not for the delightful soak but for the Thai food. This…read moreis the first place I ever had Thai and it will forever be dear to my heart. The Tom Kha Kai is simply the best I have ever had, and I have tried this soup from more than 20 other Thai places. The flavor profile is unusual with the lime leaves and lemon grass, I love the bright fresh flavor of this coconut milk soup but it might not be for you if you don't like extremes in flavor. I love it when I am sick because I can still taste it even when I am all stuffed up. The yellow curry is hearty and cozy, it really hits the spot after a soak in the pools. My favorite dish here is the Lard Nar. Don't be fooled by the word Lard. Lol. Nothing of the sort. It is deep fried crunchy noodles in a nest, topped with a chicken stir-fry and gravy(sauce). Other items we have tried and love are the Phad Thai, Phad See-iw, Pineapple fried rice, Thai Fried rice, Larb Kai, and Beef Salad. I highly recommend all of them. I want to address the service as it seems that is where their negative reviews come from. In the winter months they are funneling a lot of people through a tiny space and I am sure they get frustrated. In my many, many visits I have seen customers behave very badly often. I see WAY too many people shoving their way into the little restaurant while waiting for a table because they are wet and cold. They are in the way of the staff and don't seem to care. They stand in front of the register and in front of the kitchen entrance. Then they are upset when they are asked repeatedly to step out of the way. Which I am sure after the 3rd time does sound sharp. I will never excuse poor behavior to customers, I just wanted to add some context. I always greet my server there, by acknowledging how hard their job often is, tell them they are doing a good job, and I am happy to wait patiently for the food I know will be incredible. My service is always wonderful, and the food a delight.
