A 5 min quick check back after dropping food is important to see if guests have everything they need, even if you run the food. We did not receive any small dishes for soy sauce, the appetizer was delivered with no side plates at all, then all the side plates we received with the one giant plate of sushi (combined for the whole table some reason?) were chipped, pre bussing didn't happen until plates were stacked for her - not a huge deal but caring about small stuff does matter for success of the server and of the restaurant long term.
