Lived here for almost 3 years and sad to be leaving! The office staff has been amazing so helpful and kind throughout any situation. If anything broke or went wrong maintenance would show up to fix whatever we needed. Apartment is spacious and nice tile floors. They also change out the air filters for you quarterly which has also been so nice! I haven't had any negative experiences working with any of the staff. Do NOT move here - Nightmare Experience I've lived at shadow hills for a while, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Yes, the area looks decent at first glance, but looks are deceiving. Homeless people regularly wander through the complex, package theft and car break ins are constant a issue. My car was stolen from right out front of my apartment, and security, who claimed to be "patrolling" all night, had no clue it even happened. The gates are ALWAYS broken. constant ring app notifications about break ins, thefts, and even hostage situations around the area. The price I pay for my apartment does not reflect the environment around it. But i guess management realized that because the $1600 1bed 1bath i pay for is now $1200. yet they planned to raise my rent $75 if i decided to stay. how does that work ? These apartments are anything but "luxury." My unit was so old and run down that the wood interior was literally crumbling. Upon moving in, the apartment was not cleaned properly at all. The cabinets were sticky, and the tile floors were filthy. Instead of a proper cleaning, they simply painted over dirt, grime, and hair. The bathtub was coated in black mold they tried to mask with paint rather than remove, which is a massive health hazard. The toilet paper holder was broken, and under the sink showed clear signs of past flooding. The lock to my back door was broken and never fixed. In December 2024 my heater broke, it took three weeks to repair, management had no urgency to fix this issue even though my apartment was stuck on 50° all while I had a 6 month old baby. On top of that, both the oven and dryer broke down, all this happened within just eight months of living here. The management is shady. I had a $600 money order go missing in August 2024 -- the office employees were the only ones that had access to it, yet claimed I never paid. Even after the bank confirmed someone cashed it (and it wasn't me), they served me multiple evictions notices and forced me repay it. i've been receiving evictions for months even after repaying the money they "lost". I found another review from someone who went through the exact same thing just a few months ago, but now that review is mysteriously gone -- seems like they're deleting the negative ones. I've talked to several other residents who are getting eviction notices for no reason too. it's an ongoing issue that hasn't been resolved. The complex is dirty. Dog waste is everywhere and it smells like urine outside. The pool is tiny and overcrowded in summer. While most neighbors are nice, one guy revs his motorcycle literally all day long from 6am to 8pm. It's nonstop noise and management does nothing. Only positive thing about living here is no roaches in my unit... just carpet beetles.... Seriously. This place is disgusting, unprofessional, and unsafe. I regret ever signing a lease here. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. EDIT: june 2025. these people are ridiculous! ivy and jose are CLOWNS. this apartment complex is a joke. they have the nerve to service me a $2000 move out fine! i called all day long to figure out what these bs charges are, no answer of course. i called on a different number and they answered. these people are saying i didn't pay mays rent MEANWHILE I HAVE VIDEO PROOF SHOWING I DID. IVY AND JOSE ARE IN THE VIDEO. then ivy proceeded to say that i was evicted... how when i signed all my lease paperwork and so did ivy. I moved here in July and I have absolutely no complaints. I received a thoughtful welcoming gift on my move in date, and a cute birthday card signed by everyone in the leasing office. The management team is friendly and responsive, and the maintenance team is knowledgeable and respectful. The community is quiet, and I love our amenities and community events. There is a wonderful dog park at lone mountain park. I like that Walmart, Supercuts, Starbucks,and subway are a walk away . I have been living here for the past 6 months and the property and maintenance staff are exceptional. The apartment layout is great for a single person. However I will not be renewing my lease due to the unit I live in (which is 1095). There is a family upstairs from me and they are constantly yelling at each other as well as their children screaming and jumping up and down. This goes on daily. So if you do decide to make a home here I would highly advise you to stay away from unit 1095. If you don't, you will not have any peace living here. read more

I have lived here for the past year and it was my first apartment after I graduated from college. The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet. The residents are all very friendly. However the MVP here is the management team. They have an easy to use app where they keep you updated with any changes to the community. They also email or text you with any important information you would need to know. I have never waited more than a few hours for any maintenance request to be addressed. Roxanne especially helped sign me up for my lease and helped assist with any questions I needed as a resident. Would recommend anybody looking for a place to live to stay here! read more

They still label luxury as an amenities despite the fact that this place is anything but that. I moved in late May and I had my own internet service provider. Two weeks later the management says everyone is switched over to the community plan. I had 1TB up and down DIA... and now I don't. This place is not luxury. If you're going to charge everyone for internet services, not provide an alternative to get better services or higher bandwidth then you cannot say you provide luxury amenities. I'm okay with paying $3255/month in NJ so it's not about the money.... What I'm not okay with is paying $1800 a month for what really should only be $950 a month in value of Amenities and services. Take the word luxury out of your vocabulary. -- THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!! You don't want to provide Gate Remotes You don't want to provide Garage Remotes (and you charge more for garage parking than in NJ for a non-temp, non-humidity controlled garage... HOW IN THE FUCK?!) You don't want to provide 1TB DIA Internet Access You don't want to provide CLEAN pools (and they aren't Olympic size) oh yeah.. and why all the suddenly cops are constantly blocking my garage at least once a week lately??? So in what fucking world... is this luxury? here is my challenge: The CEO and the CEO's family lives at this complex in the same setting that I have, with out a Remote for the gate (just a key fob), without a remote for the garage... just a key... Just spoke to Roxana, she was very passive aggressive & didn't demonstrate the ability to focus on my information request, which referenced the website's promotional special of eight weeks free & one-bedroom units starting at $1260. She immediately tells me, "no, the eight weeks free promo is only for 2 & 3 bedroom units" and that the one bedroom unit is actually $1565 after a forced "Technology Package" add-on that involuntarily bills you approximate $200 dollars extra per month. After expressing my need for an immediate move-in timeframe, she then tells me that there's an unusually long two-week background & credit check timeframe that would be prohibitive in my circumstance. She spoke to me as if to discourage an application, wasn't accommodating at all, which is confusing as she works in a sales capacity & her purview & responsibility is to get homes leased. Didn't end up moving there. I had a deposit and was all approved but wanted to switch from a 1st floor apt to a 2nd floor. That was by no fault of the property. I will have to say they didn't make it easy to switch. They had apts listed as ready now but you could not view them for weeks. They steered you in the direction where they wanted you to go. So I found another apt and was ok with losing my deposit. I really wanted to move there but I'm now glad I didn't . That was just a month ago and look at all the tenants that will be leaving in the next month or so. Must be something going on, to bad. read more

Current resident here. Would not ever recommend this place to rent to anyone. Plenty of respectable places around here, worth your rent money. Cheap quality, and management is horrible. You can quite literally hear your neighbor sneeze with how terribly built this construction is. Had a neighbor move in downstairs, and after several noise complaints of feeling bass, watching water shake, and hearing the music.. still did not receive a response on this Henri app. I was the one on several instances that had to contact the office to follow up. All of which was excused to me by management saying, and I quote, " we do apologize for all complaints being unanswered on the Henri app, that is because we were busy working on the back end and couldn't give you any updates.. but we did follow up with you." In which I stated that I THE RESIDENT did the following up. Management then stated they were dealing with life or death situations.. important situations unlike mine. Not even joking. Idk man, if it was a life or death situation, I would think the police would be involved not the rental office. The past couple months have been a living hell. From late nights from the neighbors downstairs throwing parties, to my children being terrified because every step they take, my floor..ie. their ceiling gets banged. Not to mention the harassing banging on my door. I then had management come to my apartment to show them on the very very low end of what I hear. You could still feel the bass, still hear it and.. I was told that was normal. That I was sensitive to noise. I've had friends and family all witness the noise and attest, IT IS NOT NORMAL. Management told me That this apartment is not built to be sound proof. They also stated that I am just sensitive to noise. I was told by management that they could no longer help me. The solution to this issue from corporate after I contacted them, is for me to relocate to another property on this lot. I would however, not be promised any of my promotional deals. Not be promised my current rent, and would therefore be forced to pay more monthly, for safety, possibly comfortability, but definitely not quality. Do not waste your money here. Seriously not worth your sanity. I did also want to throw in that I have been living in apartments my ENTIRE life and have never had to deal with any of this. I moved into Shadow Hills at Lone Mountain in June of 2018. I looked at several apartments before making my final decision and Shadow Hills stood out to be the absolute best! Shadow Hills was my very first apartment when I moved out of my parents house. As soon as I toured the property and met the office staff, I knew it was it. Bianca was the staff member that showed me around and assisted me through the whole process. Throughout my residency, I met Jose who became the Property Manager, and he is awesome! The community and area is very quiet and secluded - which I loved. I have been a resident there for just over two years and I recently did move out to live with my girlfriend so we can save and buy a house. I honestly can say that I miss Shadow Hills and the community. They treated me so well and the move out process was very simple. Shadow Hills is a great place to live. I downsized selling a home when I moved here 4 years ago and moving into an apartment for the first time since college days. The amenities are great including a great business office with faxing and copying, exercise room and swimming pool with hot tub. And the staff, especially now that Jose is back, is fantastic. I had a very nice experience at Shadow Hills. The apartment was very well prepared and cleaned before my move in. The grounds were always beautiful and very well maintained. The few times in my two years stay that I needed support from maintenance, my issues were resolved extremely quickly snd thoroughly. The maintenance manager was always very personable and curteous in addition to effective. The office personnel were always sevice oriented to me and professional. However, when Tabotha the new manager joined the complex customer service really became great. She has a very polished, professional and enthusiastic demeanor. I really enjoyed the office under her leadership with Jose and Caris seeming to workil very well together with her to really improve the experience. When the time came for me to move into a hoise as planned, the office was very friendly and committed to making my mive out as smooth as my move in, which was very impressive. I would encourage yelp users to take negative reviews with a large grain of salt. From my experience, residents are at times quick to blame management when a particular resident is bothersome. When we first moved in, I was impressed, everything was quiet, abundant parking, etc. Well the new wave of tenants brought their disrespectful children, loud music, late parties and trash which they left on their doorsteps for days on end. And before anyone tries to play the "race card", I'm referring to neighbors of all ethnicities. My neighbor would beat his girlfriend, our other neighbor left trash outdoors for 3 days, outside facing the courtyard there are always a lot of youth throwing their footballs and have hit our patio door on more than one occasion and not usually the same kids. And I'm tired of being asked for money every time I go to check our mail! It's absurd. So think twice about moving here, if you can. read more

MARK TAYLOR allows his staff to open up other employees mail even though it's addressed to a specific individual. This is turn leaves them blaming each other when they steal your money and won't let you move in. Not to mention they keep your holding fee and admin fee without returning it, after they claim they lost your first months rent and leave you homeless. Corporate office refuses to do anything about your lost or stolen money then ignores your phone calls. Shadow Hills requires first months rent to be sent in with your signed paperwork including account numbers for Energy & Gas. So please ask that you pay your first months rent on line through a reputable company. So now I'm out a $1000.00, fees to trace money order, Hook-up fees for GAS & ELECTRIC and homeless, while I wait for money order to send refund. The staff is totally incompetent, rude, uncaring and down right robbing people! Corporate tells you they lock up all money in a lock box at each site but yet there have been many times when we have walked right into the office and no one is in there and they pull out an unlocked zipper bag out of a drawer. So be warned, any deposits for rent will be unsafe and they will claim you didn't pay your rent! I wouldn't even want to think about living here! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lived here for about a year and I love it, the staff is nice and gets their job done. When we first got here before then it was very hectic and they found a place for us and got us in quickly making it less stressful for us. They have provided parties and such within the community of the complex. I would definitely recommend this place. The only thing is, is if you want to get a house go get one, but if you're looking for a nice community and reliable people to get the job done, nice, and apartments live here. Everyone is talking about the amount of rent... it's not really high for places in Vegas that are at least nice! I have paid the same amount but for a trashier apartment. Now some houses are cheaper or around the same price for more or same amount of bedrooms. But what you're looking at is connivence, with getting a house is a lot different and more expectations. If I were to decide to leave I would definitely be sad to leave here and I have never experienced that within my other apartments. read more

Section 8 housing with a summerlin exterior. Everything was falling apart my entire year lease. From the counter tops peeling, dryer breaking, to the sink breaking, to the bathtub peeling, the list goes on! This apartment complex doesn't pay their referral fees, plays favorites, and never answers the phone. The front gates break on a weekly basis. They include trash valet and an exterminator in the overpriced rent and the exterminators don't even spray every building nor do they honor special requests like the office leads you to believe. Had roaches for 2+ months and I kept calling the office to send the bug guys out. Said they went inside but my boyfriend was home and no one ever came. Hired my own exterminator and the bugs were gone after that.. interesting. Quite disgusted with the awful treatment I consistently received from Tabitha and Jose. read more

Exceptional well kept community, nice location great views and friendly staff with great customer service

I wish 1 star wasn't the lowest rating. The apartments themselves are well priced and nice enough on the inside. I lived at these apartments for two years and only had difficulty once Mark Taylor purchased the property. My issue is not with the apartments themselves. My issue lives with the leasing office and the maintenance staff. I'm not some disgruntled resident who lived here for two years. I paid all of my bills on time, kept a very clean, neat exterior (and interior), and followed the rules of the community. My husband has been a plumber for over 10 years and is very good at his job. He has worked in both industrial and residential work. When considering if you should rent here or not it is best to ask yourself, "How many days do I want to waste trying to get a simple job completed correctly?" When we first moved in we had a plumbing issue. We, like many people, chose to rent as to not have to do home repairs. I called the front desk to let them know that our toilet was having problems and told them specifically what part needed to be replaced. (and why) It took the maintenance staff 4 days to fix our toilet. I'm sure you're wondering why it took 4 days. Day 1: I was able to enjoy watching the repair men joyride on their golf card for the duration of the day from my balcony. Day 2: They actually show up as late as possible only to reveal that they don't have the part needed even though they were instructed the exact part required. They have to order the part. Day 3: They come install the part they ordered after inspecting your toilet. They have chosen to order an entirely wrong part but install it anyway even though there is nothing wrong with that piece. Day 4: You fix the part yourself because you have a life and a 10 minute repair is a lot easier than watching two morons try to fix your toilet. ---------------------------------------- On two separate occasions I had mysterious water damage which required immediate attention (as the lease contract stipulates) but the maintenance would take their leisurely time addressing those issues. I could have understood if they were busy; however, when asking the leasing office if they were booked solid and her response was "They haven't had any orders today. There shouldn't be any issue of them getting out there today." at around 10 a.m . They don't show for the next three days as Saturday the one who "knows what they are doing" is off, Sunday they don't work, and Monday they are having a maintenance meeting until 2 in the afternoon. When someone does finally show up to repair your warped baseboard and check for water damage near your water outlets, please expect that they send someone who has no idea what they are doing. He removes the baseboard improperly, cuts the wood (after it is ordered for a few days) at the wrong length multiple times after first trying it with a hand saw, and then of course installs it upside down. When you notice the baseboard installed upside down you make them fix it and then you notice the lead maintenance idiot ordered the wrong part so the hours you've spent glued to your house have been for not. You will have to set aside an hour or two another day for them to order the right part and to hopefully not install it upside down once again. ---------------------------------------- My point with expressing how long it takes to repair an item and how every repair is done incorrectly is just one problem with this community. The most shocking part of Shadow Hills at Lone Mountain has to do with how the staff is allowed to interact with residents. I have disc problems in my lower back and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in order to relax , after all it is one attraction to renting an apartment instead of purchasing a home. If you've ever owned a pool and hot tub you know that hot tubs must maintain a certain temperature in order to be hygienic and safe. When said hot tub and pool are public pool the importance of chemicals, proper cleaning, and maintenance increase greatly. Before taking my nephew to school I stopped by the front office to pay my rent early I made mention to the leasing manager that the hot tub was filthy for the umptine time and that the temperature was not proper. The maintenance lead, Kyle, took it upon himself to call me ignorant, told me to shut up, berated me (all of this in front of his manager, mind you) and insisted that I follow him to the boiler room and to the pool side while it was raining outside. The manager said nothing to correct his conduct. All of this was done in front of my 5 year old nephew who was living with me at the time. There is just so much wrong with this apartment complex it isn't even funny, nor is it worth the rent. The nice neighborhood that we moved into transitioned into a place I'd never have rented in. Once Mark-Taylor took over this property everything changed. We had drug dealers for neighbors, multiple break in attempts, and maintenance staff who stalk children. read more

I moved into my apartment in March and am sooooo happy this is the place I chose to call home. Gia is amazing! She worked with us to help us get the apartment and I can't thank her enough. I love my view, I love how quiet it is. I love going down to the front to get my morning coffee, my kids love the candy bar and all the community events they plan. Scott is awesome, fixes everything and anything we need. I have nothing negative to say about my apartment complex, anytime I have questions or concerns they are quickly addressed by Tabitha, Gia or Mo. Hello, this is my second review for Shadow HIlls and will be a an honest one. The other one was honest. But I feel I need to say this. I am moving in Nov so I thought this was a good time to write a review. I have lived here for almost one year. 1. Staff do try hard to answer questions and do maintenance to the apartment They aren't perfect so don't expect perfectionism. 2. I love the quite community, sometimes there are loud tenants at night but I just tell them to quiet down or I will complain the the management. It seemed to help 3. If you move in they are going to charge you 25 dollars extra for individual trash pick up. They are starting a service that is not necessary but they want this apartment community to seem like a luxury apartment community so they are starting a service where you can put your trash out at night and someone will pick it up for you. I do not feel this is appropriate for this community because we are not Beverly Hills, and I feel that I can take my own trash out at night. I am moving so thank goodness I won't have to pay the extra 25 dollars for this service. 4. All in all I like it here, but it is true, I have a funny smell under my sink and the it hasn't been taken care of. I know that Scott has tried to remedy the problem, but it is still there. he doesn't think it is mold but it small so so bad. I am going to let him know again tomorrow. 5 I gave this apartment community a 4 star because it is one of the better communities for the price around hear. As far as get togethesr, they need to advertise better so more people can come and enjoy the parties they throw. Usually 10 people out of 200 apartments show up at the parties they throw for the tenants. I really don' think that is fare because the parties are for everybody not just for the people who come into the office and notice it on the calendar. read more

Do not rent here. they try to think they are really nice until they get you to sign. once you sign, they dont care, they are never in the office. they never answer the phone. the apartment is the cheapest thing i've ever seen. when i moved in, nothing was turned on. i had to plug in the dishwasher, the washer/ dryer wasnt hooked up right. (still isnt right). had to get a new refrigerator, they put a left handed one in. ( i have to open it, from the wall side). , you have to keep a parking sticker in your car, in order to park under the carport. (other wise they fine or tow you) the kitchen has no room for anything. cabinets are few. they are soo small, there is no room for silverware holder. you have to just throw silverware in a drawer. read more

The Shadow Hills management team is exceptional. There have been changes in personnel over the last 12-13 years that i have been a resident. The team that i have been very satisfied with is coming back together. Jose Cerda has now returned and several of my neighbors that have been tenants for several years contacted with the good news. The new office manager Jason Valenton came in with such a positive concern of the property and makes you feel the property now has a manager that is for the tenants.What we needed was a manager who makes himself visable which lets tenants know the rules must be followed. The ladies in the office are very courteous and efficient when it comes to addressing tenants needs. Im looking for another 12 years because i now feel stability. read more

I lived there a month and it was TOO long! The apartments are desperately in need of updating. The staff is incompetent and they steal packages. I had 2 different packages delivered to the property that they swear they sent back through UPS but 2 month later UPS has no record. And ironically one of the office staff told me how amazing the scents were that I ordered. Hmmm how would you know? I have contacted the office numerous time to resolve and no calls get returned. I was contacted by management in a polite and professional way after my initial review. She was open to feedback and attentive to my concerns. In the last couple of years in my opinion Shadow Hills has done a lot to improve upon their customer service. Not to mention the problem of rogue children is gone, however the complex in general has improved in tenant quality. The current staff of Shadow Hills has been easy to work with and very flexible. Specifically the Assistant Manager Jose Cerda is particularly receptive and professional. Currently they're improving the buildings and property cosmetically. read more

My best friend and I have been at the Shadow Hills Apartments for the last 2 months, and saying we are impressed might be an understatement! The whole staff is wonderful, they are so helpful with everything. From the first time we came in to look at apartments to the little things now that were living here. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful; I am so thankful to have found Shadow Hills and cannot wait until this summer to lay out by the beautiful pool! You guys are the best!
