Shadow Hills Golf Club is a very nice golf course to play. I was paired with an older couple who had played the course a couple of times and they helped me navigate the course. The fairways and greens were in immaculate conditions and the weather was near perfect. I was playing the South Course which was really nice. We were able to navigate the course in about 4 hrs and 30 mins which was near perfect pace. read more

Great Food and Picturesque Patio We were road tripping, passing through Indio and my wife found this place for lunch. We both were happy we did. We asked to sit out on the patio even though it was a little cool. The patio overlooks a lake with a fountain and the 18th hole. A picture perfect setting. We had a very pleasant server who made spot on recommendations. My wife ordered the Roadrunner Sandwich ($14.00), the chef's signature sandwich. grilled sourdough, roasted turkey, mild ortega chili and monterey jack with a side salad. She had a soda to drink. I ordered the Smash Burger ($15.00), a half pounder on a brioche bun, chef's burger sauce, monterey jack, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. I chose Sweet Potato Fries as my side and they were accompanied with a apple aioli. I ordered a pint of Negro Modelo ($6.00) to wet my whistle. Our meals came out in a reasonable amount of time letting us enjoy watching the duffers and advance players tackle their last hole. My wife loved her sandwich. A unique flavor combo with plenty of hot juicy turkey and melted cheese. Her side salad was fresh with crispy greens and veggies. My burger rates as one of the best I've ever had. The beef flavor was outstanding and all of the toppings just made it better. This was all of a half pound on the bun. As my photo shows, this was a burger to stretch the jaw! And as our server recommended, the apple aioli with the piping hot sweet potato fries was the bomb! I was pleasantly surprised to see so many beers on tap at reasonable prices, lower yet at Happy Hour. I wish we lived closer to make this a regular stop as it will not disappoint. read more

I golfed the north course in a group of four. We thoroughly enjoyed each hole, and we want to go back. Our group had really mixed skills and experience, but we all had fun. The course is gorgeous and very well maintained. All of the staff we spoke to were very nice, funny, and gave us great instruction. The reservation online did confuse us and we went to the south course first, but we got sorted quickly and still beat our tee time. I recommend! read more

I booked a tee time at shadow hills. I was excited. Then I showed up to play and was quite disappointed when I discovered I was playing their par 3 and NOT par 72 course. I traveled nearly 8 hours to golf and spend time with family. their booking system does not distinguish between their par 3 and par 72 courses and is MISLEADING, even to the point of FALSE ADVERTISING as naturally individuals choose lower prices as usually represented in the booking process. The gentlemen in the pro shop was very unhelpful as when we shared with him and showed how misleading the booking process was, he said that he would "take care of us." This was not the case. I urge any making tee times online to report their check out process and kindly ask that the course change the policy and process. read more

I played golf here yesterday, weather is usually cool in the 80's which is awesome. The course was in good condition and greens were running close to 10, which is fast. The green fees have dropped now summer is near and the snow birds are gone. I play this course because it's well maintained and plays in around 4 to 4 1/2 hours. Courses in Los Angeles County can take sometimes 6 hours or more on weekends. The course has several tee boxes you can hit from depending on your handicapp and your green fees include the driving range balls and use of the practice facilities. There's lot's of hazards including deep sand traps around the green, plenty of water on several holes, and did I mention the greens are fast? The par 3's are long also but the fairways are wide and pretty forgiving. In conclusion, If you don't want to waste your whole day playing 18 holes or your a novice golfer to a single digit handicap you'll have fun here. Don't forget the 19th hole, the beer is cold and the restaruant over looks the 18th hole. read more

It was unfortunate that the South Course was closed when we were in town, but we enjoyed practicing our short game on the North Course. Especially liked the discount I was able to find online $29 per golfer WITH A CART through birdiebug.com. The carts do NOT have gps or any fancy tech like that but there is a cooler in the back. Lovely course kept in great shape! For those of you who don't believe a Par 3 course can be challenging, think again. You'll get your full money's worth trying to avoiding the water and sand traps with your irons. I didn't love the rough conditions of their sand traps but could have been due to the early morning. The staff is truly exceptional and professional yet still personable and fun. It's evident they have their regulars which is nice to see. What's even nicer is the complementary water and ice! Overall, you can't go wrong with booking a tee time here next time you're in the area. TIP: Look for deals online Tip #2: Wear a collared shirt and golf appropriate shorts/pants read more

The North Course is really fun and kept in tip top shape full of a ton of par three's, the South Course is more of a traditional course which is not kept up as nicely unfortunately. I will be playing here again but likely will just stay on the North Course. Overall it is four stars and a good value. read more

What a course! Beautiful and pretty open. Not to difficult so that's good for me. The scenery was majestic. I am jealous of you people that get to golf here year round! Visiting from Austin, TX we don't get views like that or grass like that. I can't say more, very friendly staff, always making sure everything was good. I used the discount site to book my tee time and saved a good deal! For what I paid it was worth it over and over! An exceptional par three golf course for the family. The staff was really nice and the fees reasonable. It took us about an hour and a half to play 9 holes. The course was in great shape and is very well designed for a par three course. From the blue tees there were a variety of distances needed to hit the greens. Sand was okay and a bit scarce in some traps. I'm giving it four stars because there's no junior rate. I understand it's a senior community but all clubs should be promoting the game. We will go back because of the quality and layout of the course. read more

This review is for an event my friend had at the Golf Course. We had a private party where it was catered by the Golf Course's restaurant. The food tasted good, and they always made sure there was more than enough if people wanted seconds or thirds. The old timer bartender was great and very professional. For those that tended to the party they were on the ball and very courteous. There was one issue with a waiter inside with one of our guests and the event manager apologized. All in all the place was great and everyone really enjoyed the event. My buddies played a round of golf and loved the course. read more

I played there yesterday while I was out there visiting, and was very happy to find this great little course. I hadn't played in about a year, so there was alot of rust to knock off. The course is very forgiving and fair. I only found a few holes to be kinda funky and awkward, but overall, I had a great experience. James ran the pro shop and was very nice and personable. I would recommend that anyone who is going to the Indio to go play, hit up this track. It has every shot in the bag, and it was a hell of alot of fun. Only draw back was that there wasn't a beverage cart running on Sunday. read more

The South course is what we played. Great layout, beautiful vistas, there are hazards to avoid on every shot. Well sloped, undulating greens, and the bunkers are probably the best in the Valley.....soft fluffy sand and snow white. But, the general condition was disappointing. We played in May and there was standing water on several holes and the fairways were thin grass. From the blue tees, with better grass, this course could be amongst the half dozen most challenging publics in the desert (the abundance of sand). There were black tees even further back and those must be monsters, our foursome had a total group handicap less than 30 and we all enjoyed the course. Maybe next time the condition will have improved. read more

This review is for August play when it's 100° +. Club website has good rates with no added fees. Easy parking but limited shade. Cart was ready and attendant loaded bags. Check-in was very friendly. Cups, ice and water are adjacent to the snack shop and restrooms. No food service on the course and no water either (except at two restrooms), so bring everything you need. At the turn you can get more ice and water. The course is a nice design with houses mostly being out of range. Tees are OK. Fairways were in poor shape. Greens were in good shape and fairly quick. The two sand bunkers I was in were also in good shape and not too hard. We got around in under three hours. Fun time. read more

Fun filled day. Good course and better staff. Started with the head pro who was so friendly. The starter was equally as helpful with his knowledge of the course. Although there are houses on this course they are not at all intrusive. Huge greens, wide fairways and many deep fairway and green side bunkers make this track a pleasure to play. read more
