Overall rating 4.5/5 Small, unassuming, and exactly how a great neighborhood coffee shop should be. This place proves that you don't need frills to get it right--just solid coffee, fresh bagels, and people who care about what they serve. The coffee is good, and the bagels are fresh, chewy, and perfectly paired with a morning cup. It's a true hole-in-the-wall gem that values quality over hype. Highly recommend if you appreciate simple things done well.

Stopped by Shady today with my daughter. I realized I haven't left a review in a super long time..... Today we ordered an Iced Honey Dirty Chai and an Iced Vanilla Matcha. My daughter loved her matcha. She said it's in her top 5! My Iced Honey Dirty Chai was different from my usual order but sooooooo good!!!!! We also ordered an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese. It was lightly toasted and covered with cream cheese! Yum!!!! It wasn't super busy so we sat and enjoyed our drinks! Next time we'll sit outside!

Cute coffee shop with lots of outdoor seating. The avocado toast I ordered was a little salty and the mashed avocado spread on the toast was a little too thin for my taste. However, I did appreciate that it came with two slices of sourdough. The cappuccino I ordered was good, but I got a weird feeling when I requested my order "for here" because the worker was very robotic during my transaction after being all laughs and smiles with the customer right before me. I'm not sure how to feel about it, but I probably won't visit again.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast. I really love that they had the gluten-free toast for the loaded avocado toast. It's nice that there's indoor and plenty of outdoor seating. The service was good and it was really cute.

Best ever Pumpkin Latte!!! Besides that this place is wonderful and I should've given it a check-in before! Thanks!

Shady Coffee & Tea is a great place to go... Very chill and enjoyable. Lots of plants and lots of room for people both indoors and outdoors. The menu is awesome. They use Mast coffee, which is my favorite. And the food is terrific! My favorite drink has just become the pumpkin latte! It's the best latte of any coffee shop I've ever been to! The people who work here are fun and colorful and full of life! Be sure to stop by whenever you can! And if you're in a hurry, they have a drive-through!

This was a perfect little cafe to stop in at. My iced mocha was tasty and the bagel with veggies was a great light breakfast.

I got an iced caramel latte which was not bad! However, my friend got an iced hazelnut latte and it wasn't the best. The baristas were very nice and brought the drinks out to me which I appreciated. The inside is nice to sit in. I would have stayed longer if I had more time because it felt so cozy.

Such a cool spot! They have food, coffee, tea, beer, wine...what else could you want? Great ambience with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is so nice and helpful. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. They serve mast coffee, a local gem. Great stuff! Such a great vibe here and super yummy. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Located on a triangular property just outside of downtown Roseville is a very cool little-big coffee shop that we've been meaning to go to for over a decade. There was plenty of free parking on the streets around the area and there is an interesting drive through at the front door...they'll come out of the shop to serve you. Super cute interior like a small cafe in Italy and hobbit like doorways and a huge covered deck in the back with ample seating. They use Mast coffee but don't create most of their own flavors. We had the brown sugar spice that they DO make themselves and it was lovely. The star of the show was the employees as they are jubilant and welcoming. The orange raspberry scone was AMAZING. Their baker has the ability to make a flaky crust and moist scone with great flavor. Literally come here for the scone and get some great coffee and a friendly face in the process, you won't be sorry!!!

I randomly picked this spot on a road trip and it didn't disappoint! The ambiance is wonderful and I wish I could have stayed and sat in the small room with the round brick threshold. There's sandwiches all looked delicious. Very head and hippy organic combinations. Delicious pastries. Good music. Great workers. This is a solid choice :) Very limited parking lot and easy street parking. It's quaint, cozy and the indoor temp is perfect; refreshingly cool but won't make you cold if you stay too long

Overall? 5/5, if you enjoy warm hobbit vibes and well made coffee then this is the place. Tucked away on a corner lot it's a fun addition to your day. Nice patio seating with good service. Palatable small town feel Parking? Small lot, accessible street parking We had: Cappuccino: 5/5, 8oz serving, rich and full bodied and importantly not burnt Americano: 5/5, 16oz serving, not burnt, full bodied, not burnt, fruity aftertones

Stopped by here to brainstorm about future plans with a friend. We walked in and ordered a drink each. Self seating which is always nice. It's a very cozy little place. The restrooms are on the outside which is a little odd but aside from that, the place was clean, friendly and good coffee. Definitely check them out!

I'll go check it out though, because I door dashed a matcha and it was perfection. I got a strawberry almond milk matcha with an extra shot of matcha and it was delicious. 100% on the sweeter side (not obnoxiously sweet like boba, but they have a sweeter hand) so ask for less sweet if you like a more mild sweetness. The bag they delivered it in was so fancy - a closed branded drink carrier, and the matcha quality was high quality. The strawberry flavor was real, not artificial, and there were little strawberry chunks that I loved. I downed this drink happily! Edit: I came in person and they have a self service kiosk and someone to help if you call for it (such sweet staff). They indeed have no tables to work at - they have 2 seats and a bench to sit at while you wait! Matcha the second time was just as good as the first, oh lord. This time I got the marshmallow brûlée with torched marshmallow and I drank it in 5 minutes it was so Carmamel-y and rich. This time I got it less sweet and, because I have a sweet tooth, I would do regular. I actually don't die for marshmallows but I ate all 3 because they tasted like rich brûlée perfection. Can't wait to come back again (my boyfriend is jealous)

The interior is small but clean and brightly lit. The coffee is good but weaker than I expect when getting Vietnamese coffee. It is phin dripped, and the classic flavor is there, but less creamy texture. Traditionally the brew is very strong and mixed with condensed milk only - the ice in this instance is necessary to balance the boldness. In this coffee, between the added milk and large amount of ice, it is watered down and not the full bodied experience you would expect. Overall still a good cup, and probably the best you can get in the immediate area, but not wholly satisfying if you are seeking the traditional Vietnamese coffee flavor.

Absolutely no coffee aroma at all. What this place uniquely offers is late hours of operation. Open to 11pm Monday - Thursday. Friday - Sunday open to midnight. I just sampled 3 of the desserts. There was 3 people in line and one of the employees came out to turn on a second kiosk. The kiosk was taking a while to load and I felt like the employee could have just started taking orders instead of waiting for the kiosk for good customer service instead of keeping people waiting. I guess some businesses just only use kiosks for ordering now. Their menu offers matcha, coffee, and sparkling soda drinks in addition to various flavored sundaes - matcha, ube, banana, strawberry, boba, and coffee. I went with my partner and we ordered the honey sundae to share. The description said it's made with local honey. It came with a piece of honeycomb. The soft serve is made from Hokkaido milk and it is silky and smooth with a subtle sweetness. I prefer Asian desserts since they are not overly sweet and it was not overwhelming sweet. The honey paired well to give it some sweetness without being over the top. The honey flavored sundae was probably the most simple compared to the other sundae flavors but still delicious! Only gripe is that the honey does harden so there's a little bit of work to scrape it out of the cup. A battle I'm okay with. I didn't get a chance to try the Tokyo Cream but based on how it was devoured, I'd say it's a win as well. Three wins, with many more flavors to try. I'll be back.
