It's Saturday and I've been waiting for this place to open since 8 am. It has a new banner sign of monday to friday, open from 8:30 to 5:30. And then it has another lit up sign stating open saturdays from 8 to 12. I guess staff must have been out parting and they have not awaken yet. No resposibility at all. A very busy shop because they are reliable and trustworthy. Apparently not much competition. Worth the wait.

My father in law recommended them due to the fact they didn't charge for a res of when he failed. My BMW monitor was not set yet and they wanted to charge me another $70 dollars due to the name of the car. A 2005 BMW, and a 1997 f150, they have the prices listed, it was supposed to be cheaper for the newer car. Stay away from these guys, do yourself a favor and go to American Smog in Oildale. read more

I originally took my car into the dealership to have a rattling from my exhaust solved. The dealership told me they couldn't find what was causing the issue. It took Shafter transmission and smog 15 minutes from the point they started working on the car to diagnose and resolve the issue. read more

Took my car in for a sm oil leak, they fixed it and found 2 more issues (which I'm always suspicious when that happens) they prefer cash or check vs credit card which raised another red flag. So, honestly not sure how I feel about the experience but time will tell if they correctly fixed the problem. So that's why I gave 3 stars. read more

Broke down on I5 and was towed to this place by a super creepy driver. Even though it was closed, the owner happened to be driving by and stopped to check in my car. The owner and his family gave me a ride to the airport in Bakersfield so I could get a rental (and saved me from creepy tow truck guy). Super nice family. I knew it was my transmission, but this guy saved me thousands of dollars by pointing out the transmission was cracked - did I drive over a hazard and do I have hazard insurance? Yes and yes. Finally, the repair took a while (insurance) and overlapped with a period where I was out of country. I couldn't pick it up for about 2 weeks after it was done (plus I live a couple hundred miles away) but he held it without charging storage fees. So all in all, one of the nicest guys out there. Next time you're stranded in BFN, I highly recommend their services. read more

When I went to get my car smogged they tried to rip me off by smogging it cold. Then they tried to tell me it would be 500 to get it to pass. I took it to another place and showed them the fail test paper and they said right away that they smogged my car cold. Then the new place smogged it and it passed. This place is the biggest rip off in shafter and all the locals know it. read more

I called to confirm the shop could work on the year and make of my vehicle, I spoke to some JERK by the name of DON, who instead of answering yes or no, answered by saying "well what do you think we do here?" He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Since he was incapable of providing a simple answer to a simple question, one can only perceive they are all incompetent and rude as Don is. I thanked him and hung up. No chance I'm taking my vehicle there! Don fails to understand, when communicating with the public he is representing the entire business! read more

They got me in same day for my smog. They tested my car and let me know I couldn't pass until it was driven some more. I went and drove around, then came back. They got my car tested and I passed, within 30 minutes of my coming back from the drive. A bit brusque, but mechanics don't need a sweet bedside manner, right? read more

I took in my car to get a quick engine diagnostic that should take no longer than 30min had me waiting 1 hour and 20 min they were NOT BUSY AT ALL and didn't finish before closing and then wanted me to pay 75$ FOR NOTHING! Never again this is a shop of crooks read more
