Only thing going for this place is the atmosphere, but that still doesn't make it worth the price and wait. We waited 2.5 hours with two small kids for food. All the food was underwhelming. Worst of all was the $8 kids meal that was a few fries and what the waitress admitted was box Kraft Mac and Cheese. Ridiculous prices for the quality of food. read more

New restaurant located right on the Rez water. Beautiful building that's light and bright on the inside. We were upstairs seated near the window with a nice view. Our server, Marcus, was very attentive and patient as it was all of our first time there. The way Shaggy's operates is so efficient. The servers have handheld devices where they can place your order right at the table which allows for speedy service. You also pay on the same device. Ordered fried pickles and the Shaggy Rum Punch for an appetizer. The pickles were hot but a little salty. The ranch sauce that came with it was very thin. My drink was nothing short of excellent. My entree was a shrimp basket, which I switched the seasoned fries for coleslaw. This was some horrible coleslaw. It totally lacked seasoning and no amount of salt and pepper I added could fix it. The shrimp were fried well and the hushpuppies were generic. I will return as I know they are new and need to work out the kinks. I look forward to going again. read more

Everything is either just too much with no balance, or not enough. Definitely a great place to visit when you want to watch the beautiful sunset or chill near the reservoir. I went solo for a drink on the patio on a Sunday evening. There's plenty of parking and plenty of spacing for social distancing seating. When I arrived there were parties waiting for their tables outside. They were able to get drinks while they each waited at their own high table. I approached the host about sitting at the bar and he directed me to the area. At the bar, I was greeted by the bartender and he informed me that they lost their drink menu due to the hurricane but he memorized everything. I asked for his suggestion for a frozen cocktail and he suggested this rum cocktail (I can't remember the name of it). But I got double shots with it. The drink wasn't strong but it was a 12-16oz cup and double shots for $12 so I was not mad at that. It kept me nice & cool on the patio where I sat alone & peacefully enjoying the weather and views. I ordered the seafood mac and cheese and it was honestly a big disappointment. It was not cheesy enough and it was almost bland. I do not recommend getting this dish. My beautiful waitress Kelsey was nice, and did an amazing job letting my crew and I take forever to order our food. While going to pay, I did drop my credit card through the cracks of the dock, but Kelsey hooked it up and had her co worker Kevin come in to the save the day. We went for a lunch date. The Seafood Fries were great (side note : ask for ranch to eat with it)!! Our waiter was Kennedi & she was helpful. We just wish she would have checked on us more! Alexis a angel was the best waitress you could ever ask for. She delighted us all night and was a superb waitress. We will be back and when we come we hope that she will be here. Extremely noisy inside, especially seated near the bar. Food was pretty good!! Our table enjoyed a decent variety of items, one of which was the New England shrimp rolls. Plain, simple- yet good flavor. Will return, although probably would try a different time frame. Overall about 7/10 for me. read more

A+ service! Every server I've ever had here has been exceptional! Tonight it was Katelyn and Desereé we're so attentive all night. They truly made our girls night feel like they were inviting us to a party they hosted, which is a great feeling. Katelyn is in training, but she made some fabulous suggestions like the Cajun Bloody Mary instead of the regular one, add crabmeat to the green tomatoes and to try the salsa. I love the food and ambiance, although the food prices are a little too high for the portions you receive. The two star review is because I just noticed on my reciept that Shaggys is charging a "non-cash adjustment" fee of 3% without telling me about it. I don't appreciate these sneaky, unnecessary fees, and I definitely should have been informed about this fee and at least given th option to pay cash. read more

The most fun hangout at the reservoir. We had been planning a visit to Shaggs for quite some time but had to postpone each time either due to being late or too much wait time (yeah they are always buzzing). So this time we chose a weekday evening for a visit. Thankfully we checked in before 6pm and got the outdoor seating facing the reservoir. The first thing you notice is the music and buzz in the place. The waiters are all in the fun mood with good food and drink suggestions. We ordered for shrimp platter and cocktails. The large shrimps were yummy and the cocktail just perfect for the evening. We enjoyed that for an hour savoring the sunset and the gorgeous view over the reservoir. The crowd too seemed to have fun in the summer evening. A definite recommend for a fun filled summer evening. read more

Finally decided to try shaggy's and I was mostly disappointed. I will say the beach ball appetizer was great. However it came out after the entrees. I ordered the Cajun Alfredo pasta with chicken and it was obvious that the chicken was microwaved as it was still cold in the middle. Then there was the Alfredo sauce, maybe a teaspoon, and zero Cajun flavor/spices. Waitress said I needed to stir it up because it was all in the bottom. I did... still tasted like nothing because there was nothing to stir in. Ended up getting some Cajun seasoning to stir into it which took it from a 2 to a 4/10. May come back and try other menu items but apparently pasta isn't their specialty. read more

We waited for about 45 minutes for a table (which was fine). We were sat outside at the table that was broken without an umbrella with it being about 93 degrees outside. That was the only table out there that was broken like that. We politely asked the host and server if we could move to another table with some shade or be seated at a table with an umbrella (there was one empty right next to us). The host and server REFUSED stating that they could not move us because there was a wait for other customers (we have been waiting too). We frequently go to Shaggy's on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
