Fried Catfish Platter with Redskin potatoes!!!

Great Food. Great Service and Great Atmosphere!! We will definitely try this place again!!!!

Ac vents, this is pushing out the air, which is pushing out the dirt. The dirt is possibly leaning on the Food.

Until Shaggys cleans this place I would not recommend consuming food here. The bathrooms are utterly disgusting, if you have asthma do not go in to the men's bathroom. It is filthy. All of the AC vents look like they're growing hair on them from having so much dust and dirt on and around them. The floors are super slippery and it's just dirty and dusty in there. If the visible presence looks like this, I can just imagine what the kitchen looks like!! This is a hard pass for me. I've worked in restaurants before, and when they visible interior, looks like the that you don't go into look worse.

Came here after work to unwind and sit with a view, I couldn't be more than satisfied with how the service and the food. I took my chance on a Po Boy, the bread was soft and shrimp (fried) was plump. The fries were exquisite and crunchy! A great time was had and I'll save it on my list for future stops.

Cool beach tropical vibe, looked like an inviting bar and plenty of big screens showing tv to hang out with your crew to enjoy some great food, Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, waitress was very attentive. We enjoyed a great meal, took a picture of fried pickles, dove into the meal and forgot those pics. Great place, put the Family in the SUV and head over. Stay safe !

    Oysters. Dry and not good.

First the service is some of the best around! The ambiance 10/10 but the food is a 0! Had bad, like make ya sick bad oysters on the last video and food was over cooked and bland. If you're looking for drinks and a great time this is your place but skip for the food!

This place is a tiki hut on the spillway for the overflow waters of the Pearl River. This area is so cool! The marshland is all around here down to the Gulf. Shaggy's is literally a tiki hut bar &'grill on the water, with a huge square bar center outside deck side, surrounded by chairs, then bar top tables around the bar seating. Then the parking lot which goes all the way back to the spillway water's edge where there are some docks with piers going out into the spillway. I am pretty sure boats can pull up, tie up and enjoy the live music and food! They have a live musician every evening for those perfect golden hours cocktails and happy hour from 2-5p. Margarita hit the spot! Shaggy's original location in the "Pass" by Pass Christian Pearl River. It was originally a bait shop but was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Rebuilt as Shaggy's tiki bar & grill. I feel like I'm in the Florida Keys, Islamorada area! The sunsets are gorgeous, y'all!

Supposed to be a naked chicken sandwich but clearly it's dressed

Never coming here again clearly someone had an attitude asked for a simple sandwich no veggies at all and clearly they didn't not comprehend what was said when I brought it to the waiter attention she says I didn't tell her and had an attitude about it when she wasn't even the waiter who took the order I asked for a naked sandwich no veggies how hard is it to make this food too expensive not to be right and taste like no one know how to use seasoning first time coming here and my last service suck environment over crowded and it's smell like dead crawfish

    Key lime pie.

Our server Cameron did a excellent job with the service and she was very attentive to us and it was appreciated. The other staff members were very friendly and Al accommodating and Paul was was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had the snow crab boil and it was delicious and the redfish creole with potatoes and zucchini and squash great combination great flavors. The cream sauce was incredible. Highly recommend we're finishing off with the Keylime pie worth coming and visiting. Great views great staff great food well done.

Traveled to the area to do some thrifting while in MS and we wanted something fun and good! I did a quick search since I haven't been in this area in over 30 years and found Shaggy's! My gentleman has never been to this part of Mississippi and had never seen the reservoir so 2 birds one stone kind of thing! Oh my goodness, amazing views, amazing food and amazing waitstaff!! Perfect lunch on a fun day! If you are looking for laidback, good views and fun conversation, check them out!

Came here for an early dinner and to enjoy the view. The outdoor area was really nice to sit in with great views and lovely weather. The bartender seemed to care more about the regulars. The food was mediocre. Was, disgusted by the dead bugs at the bar (see picture). The only reason I'd come back is just for the patio area.

How can I confirm a reservation if I can't reach anyone and they haven't called back?

When I was there I heard someone complaining about the same issue.

I want to make a reservation is that possible?

I'm sure that you can call and make reservations for a large group. I believe they have special rooms and seating for large groups. However in my opinion the food is not that good and a bit overpriced. But you may like it. The scenery is nice…

Will they be open on the 29th?

I had the grilled catfish with cream corn and a salad, and the catfish was cooked perfectly. Before going, I didn't realize it was a walk-in, walk-up-and-order type of restaurant where you get your own drink, find a seat, and they bring your food out to you. It wasn't a problem at all, just something I wasn't expecting. We also tried the onion rings. They were okay, but I really wish they came with some kind of dipping sauce. The biggest disappointment for me was the salad. It was basically just lettuce and cheese, so I definitely expected a little more there. That being said, I would absolutely eat here again. There are several other things on the menu I'd like to try, and the space itself is really nice and would be great for larger groups or crowds. Overall, a good lunch and definitely worth giving a try!

There were six in our party. We had a vast array of items, but I will review the ones that I have pictures of. I did not personally eat one of the duck empanadas, but the others at the table did and they all raved about them. I did enjoy a piece of the warm bread with the various dipping sauces. My husband bakes bread so I can be a bit of a snob about bread, but this bread was wonderful. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Our disappointment was they were out of cauliflower so we could not enjoy the Kung pao cauliflower. I had the rotisserie chicken with the sweet Thai chili sauce, the Thai green beans and the corn grits. The corn grits are moist and creamy. The Thai green beans are a fresh green bean that is sautéed perfectly. They still have a nice crunch to them. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. He did not have one bad thing to say about them and cleaned his plate. Another friend had the ribs and rotisserie chicken combo and enjoyed them. Our friends who frequent this restaurant shared the almond shrimp. I will be getting that next time.l as I looked on with jealousy. We ended by sharing a giant piece of sweet potato bread pudding. I decided to try this place with my mother after taking a red-eye flight to Jackson. We walked in…read morearound 9am on a Sunday morning and, after confirming they had pork-alternatives on the menu, waited to be seated. The place was not crowded but was doing a decent business and we only waited about a minute before being escorted to our table. The space is slightly cramped, as you have to walk single file down the aisles, especially if there are customers at the tables. Regardless, the decor is nicely done with cool copper looking A/C ductwork exposed among the black painted rafters and beams in the ceiling. I was immediately arrested by the Apple Fritter French Toast, French toast style fritters with fried apples, rum butter sauce, blueberries and powdered sugar! Both the description and the pictures on the menu were mouth-watering! But I was also torn between that and the Bourbon Street Pancakes, three house-recipe cakes topped bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. Yeah, I was thinking exactly what you are thinking right now! After much indecision, I opted for the French Toast, with a side of eggs and chicken sausage. My mom ordered the Pumplin Crunch Waffle, a pumpkin infused graham cracker crunch Belgian waffle, spiced pumpkin cheesecake butter, maple pumpkin syrup and powdered sugar. I also opted to try one of their Cranberry Pomegranate Fizz Mocktail, which was iced tea, cranberry and pomegranate syrups, lime and ginger beer, with rosemary and orange peel! We were taking no calories prisoner today! After a short wait, my mocktail was brought out. It was just okay. First, the glass was completely full of ice so there was barely any drink. The syrups were a little too sweet and the ginger beer was not very prominent. As I was tasting it, our server came back to inform me that they were out of apples for my French Toast. Maybe its just me, but 9am seems kind of early to be running out of ingredients for your featured dish at a breakfast/brunch restaurant... Anyway, that dilemna settled, I reverted to my other choice and got the Bourbon Pancakes. I also asked the server to remake my mocktail with less ice, which he obliged very quickly. Our food arrived shortly thereafter and the pancakes were really good! Just the right amount of flavor and syrup. My mom's belgian waffle was also pretty good, although she wished it had been larger. The eggs and sausage were decent, but not especially memorable. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first meal back in Jackson. I would not hesitate to come again!

The restaurant was neat and clean and our server, Jamie, was welcoming, attentive and took excellent care of us. Lots of good items appeared on their (recently expanded?) menu and we enjoyed a triple dipper appetizer and Santa Fe Salad, with iced tea. Management requires knowing how to communicate with customers, de-escalate situations, and treat people with basic respect--and he demonstrated none of that with me. What made it worse was the restaurant was barely occupied, yet it seemed like everyone was still waiting on food. I came in fresh off work after a long day just trying to get something to eat, and his attitude made the experience so unpleasant that I requested a refund and left. Everybody who gets a management position does not have the people skills or leadership skills to be a manager. Chili's really needs to evaluate the customer service and leadership at this location because a manager should never be the reason a paying customer decides they'd rather get their money back and leave.
