I am writing this with an extremely heavy heart and with complete honesty. We brought our dog,…read morePenny, to Planet Pooch twice after her initial trial, and on her second full day of daycare (12/29/25), she was aggressively attacked. Penny is what we jokingly refer to as a "spectator dog." She does not actively play; she prefers to roam, observe, and cuddle with the staff. With that said, her being attacked (photos attached) came as a huge surprise to us. We understand that dogs will be dogs and that they explore and play using their mouths. We are also fully aware that in a daycare environment, minor scratches can happen during play. What we are most upset about is that Planet Pooch either did not see our dog get attacked, which is inexcusable since staff should be supervising the dogs at all times to prevent situations like this, or they did see her get bitten and chose not to take appropriate action. We frequently checked in on Penny while she was at daycare and were repeatedly told that she was fine and that there was nothing to worry about. However, after picking her up at the end of the day and petting her at home, we discovered a large, bloody gash on her neck. The bite was deep enough that the veterinarian stated a separate incision had to be made to open the tissue pocket created by the bite in order to prevent infection and possible abscesses. We are thankful we found the injury when we did, because we cannot fathom the pain and serious consequences this could have led to if left untreated. While Planet Pooch did agree to cover our dog's initial medical expenses (there are additional follow-up visits we will need and pay for), this does not excuse their lack of supervision or their failure to communicate with us so that we could have taken Penny to the emergency vet immediately instead of finding out hours later. We were told that new procedures would be put in place to prevent this from happening again. I sincerely hope that any dog parent who continues to bring their dog to Planet Pooch holds them accountable to ensure these promises are fulfilled, because we will never be bringing our dog back. I cannot recommend this facility to any dog owner. If you do choose to move forward, I strongly suggest being vigilant and thoroughly checking your pet before and after drop-off. I hope Planet Pooch is proactive and treats this as a serious learning experience for the staff and owner. Unfortunately, this came at my dog's expense. I truly hope Penny recovers without any lasting aggression, fear, or trauma caused by this carelessness.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart and deep concern after what happened to my one-year-old puppy…read moreduring his recent grooming appointment at your facility. When I picked him up, I was absolutely horrified. His eyes were bulging, bloodshot, and rolling back in his head. He looked completely out of it it was terrifying. I rushed him to the vet immediately, where I was told he had suffered from asphyxiation. I can't begin to describe how upsetting this has been. I've trusted your team with my little Malshi before and never imagined something like this could happen. I dropped him off believing he would be safe, cared for, and closely watched. But what I picked up was a traumatized, unresponsive puppy who is still, days later, not the same. Since bringing him home on Saturday at 4 PM, he has done nothing but sleep. His eyes can barely open, and he's completely lethargic. It's now Monday at 2:30 PM, and I'm still watching over him, worried sick, hoping he'll be okay. This is not normal and it's absolutely heartbreaking. I need to know how this happened. I need to understand how my puppy could've come so close to such a serious medical emergency under your care. This situation is unacceptable and has caused me and my poor pup an enormous amount of pain, fear, and distress. I'm asking for an immediate and honest response, and for you to take this as seriously as it deserves to be taken. My dog is not just a pet he's family Both groomer and shampoo young lady had absolutely no clue of his state .This place should be shut down the groomer obviously knows what she did to our little angel .I would definitely not recommend this to anyone who has a pet who is family we almost lost ours from being choked while grooming . I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Groom By Harry in Baldwin…read more On June 1, 2026 my mini golden doodle was injured with grooming shears during service. Harry called me to inform me my pooch had an injury during the grooming service and required medical attention. I was confused at his angry tone towards me. The call was so chaotic, I didn't even understand what he was saying. I asked him to send a picture in which he did. I called him back to discuss but instead he blamed me for the injury and claimed my dog was misbehaving during the grooming service which caused the injury. I was also told that the injury was my fault because my dog had matting and my previous grooming appointment had been approximately five months earlier. He chastised me as bad dog owner. I was in shock. Totally unprofessional. Insult to injury, when we picked up our dog he abandoned the cut with no regard close shave to torso and rest of hair untouched. My dog was taken to the vet and required sutures to close the wound. I am sharing this so other pet owners do not make the same mistake that I made. I feel bad that I put my dog through this hell. While I understand accidents can happen, I believe a business should respond with accountability and professionalism when a pet is injured in its care. What upset me most was how the situation was handled afterward. I did not receive an apology. He was dismissive, argumentative, defensive and offensive. I understand that grooming matted dogs can be more challenging however I expected professionalism, concern for any dog's well-being and some responsibility for an injury that occurred at the hands of the Harry the owner. I did not even get a follow up call or text. No concern whatsoever. I have incurred veterinary expenses so far, and the business has refused to reimburse those costs.
