We struggled to pay my daughters braces off quickly because my husband was diagnosed with cancer and the future was uncertain. My husband is no longer with us and I thought at least this was paid off.A few months ago(After my daughter had her braces on for more than 2 years) the dentist told me she was not doing what she had to do and it was taking too long for her treatmen and he was losing money..He said I could pay more money each month until her treatment was over ($150) or he would take the braces off.He said we rescheduled too many times and she had broken brackets too many times.Of course our life was upside down so we were not as consistent as we should have been. I was upset but no energy to fight as I am still grieving and so is my daughter. So I have paid 5 extra payments and we are not done yet. It is a struggle and I feel like if you enter a contract for services and it takes longer the contract should be honored.I have a 13 year old that will be needing braces soon and I will not be coming back to this office. read more

I decided that I really need to write another review, especially for all the future patients or possible patients looking for an orthodontist! Look no further. No joke. I have 5 kids, my sons are all grown up, when we did their ortho treatment it was done at a chain, I didn't have the luxury of being able to read reviews, I lived down the hill, and I just figured that it would be ok, since it was a chain, they must be good right? Wrong. Even back then, I worried, everything seemed like as long as I paid enough, the boys would be good. Wrong again, today as adults, their teeth have shifted, even wearing their retainers. Overall just a bad job. I wish, that they had Dr. Shah. My neighbor unfortunately couldn't reach me and decided to take her daughter to the same chain. After quoting her, they put her daughters braces on the same day! I couldn't believe it, I worry that she will have the same problems I had many years ago. Not even a couple of days after her daughter got her braces, they were trying to call my friend to say, I'm sorry we miss quoted you, the price is now gonna be this. I couldn't believe it! ( actually I could ) since they already put her braces on and she is stuck there, she unfortunately has to deal with that mess. Had she been able to reach me to find out where we went, she wouldn't be in that mess. Sorry! Anyways, back to the amazing treatment we receive at Dr. Shahs, we love seeing the doctor and staff, at our last visit we found out that it's time for the braces to come off! We were expecting another year, boy were we surprised to find out that my daughters teeth are in the perfect position and its that time. That's great, but we sure are going to be sad that we won't be seeing doctor and staff anymore anytime we are in the area we will def stop in just to say hello. For the past 2 years we have been there every month and at every visit everyone was very kind and helpful. Had an appt yesterday for a consultation for braces. The office is very nice, modern, & clean. The staff I interacted with were very friendly. As a new patient, they showed me around, did X-rays. Then took me to an exam room, where the assistant took her time & explained everything to me about the different brace options, process, care & insurance/pricing info. I watched an educational video about teeth & braces which was interesting. They showed me a folder of before & after pics of patients teeth. Dr Shah came in shortly after, very nice & easy to talk to. He answered all my questions & made me feel comfortable & confident in having him give me braces. His office does seem busy, which is a good thing. At the end, I was given a folder with info & quotes for the braces I want. read more

The Dr is great but many issues with scheduling and billing when u have an appointment you end up waiting almost an hour everytime, they try to hit you with late fees when half the time you have to remind them that you have to pay and they are unwilling to mail or email statements. Not pleased with his work. Just got my braces off for my wedding and I'm not very happy with the end result. He made me go spend tons on dental work that could have been prevented by using different techniques to close some gaps and perfect my bite. I'm not a professional by any means, but I have consulted with two other orthodontists. Once I consulted with them and told them my issues with my smile, they gave me some treatment ideas to tell Dr. Shah and he would just let me down. They're such minor fixes (one of them that he created and refused to fix for "root issues"). Again, I consulted another doctor and took x-rays and both said it was okay to do the plan they had worked out for me. After my wedding day, I am going to go see another orthodontist and see what he can do to make my smile the way I want it because Dr. Shah wasn't able to do so. My son has been going to Dr. Shah for about a year. Usually with positive experience. However they clearly put a new hire to work on my sons braces. She asked 1001 questions and didn't know where they kept equipment. What normally takes 30 mins took an hour. Soon after my sons lacing came apart and is sticking into his gums.
