I hate going to the dentist but Smile is the EXCEPTION! I always receive fantastic service, from scheduling to the completion any work done. The staff is kind, professional, and go over and above for patients! Marcie, the Office Manager is more like a mom, than a manager the way she cares for each patient. The Dentists are extremely thorough, explaining everything as you progress. I have worked with 2 of the dentists and never once over 10 years have I had an issue or problem with any work. On February 16, 2021I went to see Dr. Sung DDS with a molar pain and I was charged $1,093.00 I went the next day and I was told that they missed a tooth, it was still hurting, I was charged another $135.00 and was told that it would satisfy the whole thing. I went back the next day, and was told to wait a week later but to my surprise and still in pain, I was told that it should take another two weeks more. two weeks later I went back because the pain was still there; I was told that they did not understand what was going on so I was referred to a specialist, having to pay another $139.00. This is absurd to say the least! I spent money that should've been refunded back to me. I expect to go to a Dental office that actually know what they're doing. read more

Update 4/9/19: had appointment at 4:00pm, just got called in at 4:44 pm. I found Smile Dental for my husband based on Yelp review and the fact that it's near my home. First time here after my hubby and daughter got dental check up here. I asked him if they are good and my husband was satisfied. Him and my daughter got the same male dentist (sorry but I don't know his name). That dentist was fun and explain stuffs in details and gave my daughter a very fun and memorable first dentist visit. Today I came for my dental appointment and Dr. Dahye Sung was my dentist. She was very detailed in checking up my teeth as well as making notes on my teeth. Kinda different feel from the other dentist that checked on my husband and daughter but I like how detailed Dr. Dahye Sung is. Definitely making her as my dentist from now. As for the front desks nurses they were friendly. The waiting area as well as the check up areas are also clean. I think the nurse that gave me X-Ray as well that did my cleaning was new. I definitely can see that she is putting a lot of efforts on giving me the best and most pleasant experience here. The other nurses also are helpful by kept on checking and offering helps to her. I really don't mind her being new, what most important to me was she is really trying her best. Bravo for this new nurse (again I didn't catch her name). If there is something that would take away points from here is the waiting time. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time (10:20 am) and I waited a good maybe 35-40minutes. I think I got called in at 11:00am. And the whole process took about 40 minutes. Maybe they really take their time to see patients. Not a big deal when you are not in a rush for something else. Overall, based on the experience from my husband, 5 years old daughter, and myself, we all love and are satisfied with the dentists in this place and definitely coming back for future dental care. First I'll start by saying I am a complete & utter freak when it comes to going to the dentist! Had my first encounter at age 8 & it was absolutely traumatizing! The last dentist I visited did 9 extractions without anesthesia & yelled at me for crying! I was shaking uncontrollably! He wanted me to purchase a Valium for the price of $90.00i I couldn't believe it! I left there with visible cavities still showing! But Dr Kim at Smile dental is the total opposite! He is kind, caring & compassionate! He is also very pleasant and understanding along with an enormous amount of experience & knowledge! I've only been to a couple of visits but so far I'm highly impressed! I can actually say that I love this dentist & his staff! They are all very efficient, kind & polite! I'll let you know how it goes when it's all over but I have a feeling that I have finally found my perfect dentist! Thank you Dr Kim & staff!! You all rock! ...and I appreciate you! Well...it didn't end well at all! I have finally found a dental office in Victorville that I love. Smile Dental is the absolute best! Let me tell you why.... I am scared of the dentist. I had traumatic dental work done when I was a.child. I informed them of my fears. They were super nice and understood my feelings. They explained everything in detail. They made sure I understood my treatment procedures. I was able to ask questions without feeling weird. I have had many appointments at Smile Dental. They accepted medi cal and did all the paperwork for getting all my services approved. I didn't even have to call the insurance once. I had teeth pulled, crowns, deep cleaning, polishing, and soon I will have my partials to complete my current treatment plan. All of the dentists here are excellent. They ask how much you want as far as pain meds or numbing. They ask if you feel anything to make sure you are comfortable. . The dental assistants are on point. They are really good at sucking up all the gunk they drill and rinsing your mouth. Also, they run on time!!!! No spending 6 hours for a simple appointment. They get you in and out as fast as possible. They will NOT leave you sitting in a chair wondering If there is even a dentist there. This is truly the best dental office in the high desert. read more

Went to their office as a new patient with a set appointment (even arrived 10mins early) and sat there for over an hour without being signed in without being greeted, without any kind of help whatsoever but watched 10 different ppl (who yes some were new patients also) be helped and serviced within 10 mins of arriving. I mean the front desk lady was even decorating the office as I sat and waited just to give my insurance info! I Never even got to that point!! I walked out after waiting over an hour for NOTHING. My wife and I started going to Smile Dental a little over a year and a half ago. Let me tell you, we couldn't be happeier! While I personally felt more comfortable with Dr. Sun, my wife was more comfortable with Dr. Han. My wife has anxiety issues and Dr. Han is incredibly patient with her. My first visit was with Dr. Sun and I like consistency so, I preferred to see her. There were times however that seeing the dentist of choice was not an option and after getting used to seeing all three (there is also Dr. Kim), it didn't matter who we saw. They are all great! Then there are the dental assistants. I don't know if it is okay to say names so, I will leave the names out. They too are all GREAT!! I admit that I can be a difficult patient and have sometimes a nasty attitude. Ladies, I truly apologize! The dentists, the assistants and lets not forget the (I honestly hope I don't insult the girls in the front) office staff. Always greeted us with smiles and ALWAYS pleasant when settting appointments and asnwering questions. BTW, I got a full upper denture as well as a couple fillings for my lower teeth and my wife had a couple of crowns as well as fillings. In the case of having to find a new dentist, it's unfortunate that we have to leave and move back to Las Vegas. We sincerely wish we could take Smile Dental with us. I had severe dental anxiety before I went to Dr. Kim, and he was so incredibly gentle and compassionate, took that right away. My kids go to him as well, and they have always had a very pleasant experience. He takes the time to explain things to you, and his staff is very friendly as well, making it a very pleasant experience. I take my ear buds and music when he works on my mouth, this was done at his suggestion, to distract me from what he is doing. He's made me comfortable with going to the dentist again. I recently needed a root canal and he worked as far as he could, then referred me to a specialist because roots twist. Instead of allowing an ego to get in the way, he stopped, eliminating the unnecessary trauma to my mouth in the event that that kept going and things went horribly wrong.
