I went into Apple Dental Center at the end of April to have my bottom teeth pulled and replaced with dentures. I also had them replace my tops dentures, which I have had for 7 years, so I know how denturesshould feel. It has been the worst experience I have had at a dentist. First they made the dentures twice the size of my original dentures. I would give them a try. I have been in 4 times since and I still can't eat with the teeth in my mouth. I have talked to Farhad Mazi, so called dentist. He would not listen to what I was saying! He treated me like I was stupid and he had a bad attitude. As it turns out I will never be able to wear my dentures because Farhad Mazi never told me that I needed my Mandibular tori removed. Farhan Mazi didn't care to remove or properly do his job. Apple Dental is a wonderful place to receive dental care. Their office is friendly and welcoming. I love how they greet you by name. Dr. Mazi is wonderful too. He takes the time to listen to concerns and throughly examines your x-rays and teeth. I do have one concern with a tooth but Dr. Mazi explained all the options. He's patient and steadfast. Recently, I had my teeth cleaned. She was great! She took her time, was gentle and let me know exactly what she was doing. It made me feel comfortable and cared for. This review is not concerning the dentist or the staff. I'm sure they're wonderful people, like most of the reviews I've read. Actually, it's the reviews that caused us to make an appointment here. The reason for this rating is because, after check in, we were asked to wait outside in our car. Now, I understand the affect of COVID 19 and that medical offices are taking precautions to avoid a breakout, but waiting outside for 45 minutes in 105° weather is ridiculous. We were told my 5 yr old son would be called in a few minutes, but we waited much longer then a few. We sat in the car but the AC doesn't work as well unless your driving. So we just politely went in, canceled the appt, and they were very nice. We won't be back, but I'm sure they're reasoning for allowing nobody in the waiting room is acceptable. I just wish they would have allowed the wearing of masks, which we had, acceptable to wait inside on such a hot day. read more

Dr Mazi is hands down the greatest dentist I've received dental services from in the many many years I've been of age to see a dentist. The service he provided was quick and painless. No joke, he extracted a bad tooth in a blink of an eye. I had no idea he was done till he tapped me on the shoulders and reminded me of the after care. Let me also add. I was supposed to have the same service done on that tooth by Western Dental who's dentist claimed it would be a couple hours of prep and digging out of the tooth. I actually seen three dentist prior to seeing Dr Mazi for the same tooth/service. The longest wait in Dr Mazis office was the 15minutes of wait for the numbing to take affect. Online shows oral surgeon. Booked appt. insurance got deducted for basically the dentist to look at me and say? What's wrong with your teeth?. I can't tell? When all other normal dentist could notice right away, and then tell me too bad basically can't help you only half oral surgeon, and then still took my insurance financial limit, then the girls told me basically I have to do all the paperwork, calling on my end for any future help to their referral specialist and can only Goto Pomona and LA which is a school and so far from where I am at. Oh and was told could take 6 months to even get in. Which with infection I won't be ok by then being as it's being watched for a while now from other dentist same area. Wouldn't tell me details to anything so basically I paid them to just get absolutely no help. Only one that was nice was the assistant giving xrays. Aside from that. That was pretty depressing. Here I am with an infection no help waited all that time, they even pushed my date out because dentist decided to do last min vacation. They didn't care or have any compassion or sense of urgency and never helped me. Pretty sad that people go there and think their getting an oral surgeon and get told even after talking to the front desk girls/ and then at the end be told by a rude lady that's elderly light skin, too bad basically he doesn't do oral surgeon. Take your paperwork basically and leave that's what it felt like. Almost left crying. And then I wondered why the last time I was there not one person mentioned that tooth and I have had an infection for two plus years and no knowledge till now. Pretty scary and horrible. My thing is too. Even if he's a dentist he should still be able to see the obvious huge infection on the X-ray and he couldn't even see that. He was just lost all around and I thought I read good reviews but I guess it's not always a good thing. I hope the next patient doesn't get their insurance deducted and time wasted because with infections time is crucial. Only thing I loved there was how their attire was for Covid and the X-ray technition. Other than that the customer service became ruder once they couldn't take my money, and the floors were filthy and also they make elderly stand in the waiting room because of no chairs but other dentist in high desert have chairs. That's a bit much to ask. Next time don't make me wait there for a while in the hot room no ac, for them to call me on the phone lol and say were ready. As I'm standing in front of the girls only person there inside. And I wondered why even bother calling me?. Just walk out and get me or properly tell me protocol to wait outside in my car. Not good to have it that hot and musty for Covid times either. The communication and organization is absolutely horrible. I was really hoping for a good place because i had my hopes up but even if they can't help me the treatment was terrible. Also I talked to the girls at the front and two of them knew my situation and not one of them said " don't waste your time and money he doesn't do oral surgery he can only do half of it" otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time. Meanwhile my special needs dog had to wait for me in the car because I have no one to help with her. Luckily it was quick and cold out but just a waste of time. Knowing they were my second opinion too. Worst experience ever and i have been to a lot of dentist in my life. I'm dissapointed. I wish they would have told me from the start we can't help. It's so misleading and this is how people get scammed. In the end I never wanted a retreat root canal I wanted it pulled because the dentist I was seeing who you pay out of pocket for and better service has monitored the infection because financial reasons and did a good job and a second dentist as well. So no reason he should be labeled in category oral surgery if he can't even locate the infection when it's on the x ray big dark area and every dentist in my entire life has noticed them. You don't miss infections nor shouldn't. Other thing too: when someone has an infection you don't make them wait 3-4 weeks for an approval from insurance with all dent-iCal dentist up herein high desert give you quote that day and also get it approved ASAP. Not tell the patient idk how long it takes. Can't give you any details call and find out yourself. It's just poor customer service and trust me I have worked in it all my life, you don't do that. Even if you're unsure or can't do the procedure or even don't have the means, when you can be anything why not be kind? Getting laughed at too while asking for a quote is just wrong. I wasn't born yesterday and I can tell when someone's being snobby and rude. I hope the next person in my shoes receives better treatment because I feel bad for them. read more

Bad experience for 3 reasons. First, they said over the phone that my dental insurance covered x-rays, and when I got to my appointment in person, they said I would have to pay 50%. Two different stories, not good! Bait and switch. Second, the girl that made this mistake did not apologize, but instead made invalid excuses and accusations. Third, they don't let anyone sit in their lobby to complete paperwork, but send you outside for that...and they blame it on Covid, even though it's their choice to that. I did not keep my appointment. I walked out. Lies, rudeness, incompetence. I'm sure that they will try to justify this by blaming it on me and my insurance, when in fact they are the ones that made the mistake, wasted half my day, lied or misinformed me about charges and conveyed pretentiousness through the process. They said it would on the phone that per my dental insurance, all would be covered, including x-rays. In person, they tried to charge me. Bait and switch. read more

I will start off by saying that I have really liked all of the staff in this office. I came here for an emergency visit two months ago and was pleased with the staff and my overall experience. I brought all 4 of my kids back for checkups and cleanings and was very happy with the care and kindness the staff and male dentist showed all of us. The male dentist is kind and gentle and very nice. HOWEVER! Last Friday I was in excruciating pain again and since I couldn't afford a root canal, I opted to have the tooth extracted to end the pain. A femal dentist came into the room and was very short with me and rude. I have a fear of needles and she could care less. Due to the pain I was in, I guess I didn't open my mouth wide enough for her liking when she injected the novocaine and she made a snide comment as she walked away. When she came back 20 minutes later, I wasn't numb enough so she told me to open my mouth wider and I did. When she Injected the novocaine again, she must have hit a nerve because pain went shooting to my eye, ear, tongue, jaw, and down my neck. I screamed and pulled away and she yelled at me and told me not to scare the other patients. I tried to hold back tears while she quickly pressed the rest of the novocaine into my gums in another area and immediately left the room. When she came back 20 some minutes later, I was very numb and she started pulling the tooth. I realize adult teeth are deep in there and need a lot of force to be removed. She was efficient but towards the end, I could feel the root and was in a ton of pain and again she snapped at me and told me to stop crying. I was so embarrassed and hurt and immediately left. Once I had my kids loaded in the car, I walked back in and asked the front desk if I could have the tooth to show my kids and was told no. I completely didn't understand why but was too upset and embarrassed to ask why and left. I honestly don't think I will ever return to this office unless this dentist is fired and I receive a formal apology. I am so upset about all of this and have had nightmares every night since. Ok, I have got to say I was and am thrilled with dr mazi and this office. Coming from a childhood of horrible experiences and them not getting any better as I became an adult, I'm grateful to have found this dentist. Many others in the hd have caused me huge amounts of pain and trauma, that I have seriously not been to the dentist in over ten years. I used their easy online appt scheduling, and got in right away since some teeth started hurting. I was totally dredding having to go, but was pleasantly surprised!! The gals in the office were super nice, and dr mazi informed me of tons of cavities, that I got fixed today. The do not try and suck money out of u like many places. Horrible with children. My son had his 2nd loose tooth and when we went in for a cleaning the dentist told me he had to pull his tooth. I said I DON'T THINK SO! I told him no and it was unnecessary. My son likes to wiggle it and it will come out on its own. His last tooth came out within 2 to 3 weeks. The dentist was mad that I refused and had an attitude with me. My son was immediately scared when he heard him say he had to pull it. Why would you want to put a 4 year old thru that??? Thanks dr!! I have been to a few dental offices in the High Desert and none come close to the services I received at Apple Dental. I have been going to Apple Dental since January 2016. I recommend this dental office to anyone and everyone. Since my very first visit the team there has treated me like a 5 star patient. I never wait longer than 10-15 minutes from my appointment time to be seen. I never wait longer than a week for an appointment if not the same day I call. Considering I had denti-cal I was not expecting the best service...boy was I wrong. I received top denture services here. A special shout out to Marrisa, she is very much an asset to Apple Dental. From the moment I met with her she answered questions about the procedure and dentures I didn't even know to ask. She put my mind at ease and gave me peace. I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out and as ironic as it may sound it was a great experience! The assistant made sure that I was comfortable and helped me relax. The procedure only took about thirty minutes and I was out of there. The dentist also made sure that I was comfortable and let me listen to music during the procedure.
