What a classy organization! I called from the Kalamazoo area, to inquire about a used Saturn Vue that they had. (Found through cars.com) I explained my car had been to totaled, and I was depending on friends and family to get around- but, I wanted to test drive this car. A salesman Dan Dowker called me and asked if I'd like the car driven it to me! I was stunned. I have been looking for a car for WEEKS, and never received this kind of service. I bought the car. The process went very quickly and smoothly. Every one that I dealt with there was professional and friendly. A great experience! **Update- a few months of driving this car, and I was having health issues, there was a carbon monoxide leak! It cost me almost $700 to get exhaust system running and new catalytic converter. I have had car 2 years and have had over $2,000 of repairs! So, I'm not happy! read more

Honestly not sure what reason there is to make an appointment. Waited outside the appointment lane for about 20 minutes. There were no cars inside the remaining 3 first come first serve aisles. 3 cars had pulled into the first come first serve and were brought right in. After waiting another 5 minutes decided to take my business elsewhere. Management stop drinking your coffee and set some structure. Lost me as a customer. read more

I took my car in to get fixed the fixing part was great runs great now. The problem lies in that 1 it took 2 weeks to get an estimate. And 2 when I picked it up there was a crack in my windshield. I immediately called my service provider dale to let him know. I went to voice mail and I left a message I never heard back from him. On 11/7 I sent an email and never got a response to my email about the same problem. I even tried their online chat as well and was told someone would reach out but never did. Beware , I recently purchased a used suburban and have had the worst buying process ever. They do not care about you as a customer as soon as you drive one foot off the lot . For starters , after talking to the salesman , you go into office to get everything finalized where I was duped into getting every warranty they offer " worry free package " ( did not go over any of actual information instead just got talked up , until had to leave office ). Was under the impression that all It would be $1000, per 6 years of the time financed . Did not get any paperwork sent home with me the night after signing so could not review . Little did I know the $1000 would be my car payment, and had no idea what I was signed up for ( 10k worth of warranties when all I really wanted was the powertrain ) . Then when I came back the next day to pick up my vehicle , I noticed about a half mile down the road there was a chip in the windshield . As soon as I got home ( within 30 mins after stepping off lot ) I took a picture and then proceeded to make an appointment for a few weeks later when I could come back in not thinking this would be a problem ( also noted some chipped paint and the brakes were squealing ). Came to my appointment , brakes were checked and I was told the new standard of brake pads don't have copper in them , creating more squealing . I was then told my salesman would be able to take care of the other issues and should have been handled before bringing the car home and needed to make an appointment with him . So proceeded to try to get in contact with my salesman . After two unanswered calls /voicemails was able to get in contact with them by third time. I was then told I was basically a liar and there's no way they can confirm that a rock didn't hit my car on the way home and that too much time had gone by ( at this point hadn't even made a car payment of vehicle , and have a time stamped photo on my phone of the windshield ). At this point it has not snowed yet and was a clear sunny day when brought home . Honestly it's a real simple problem that could have been fixed and sent me on my way .Now I worry about if something actually major happens with all these "worry free warranties " I got signed up for that it's going to be a worse headache . read more

this dealer does not care if they loose you as a customer.i will not be going back for service,i had an appointment today at 3:00 for an oil change an tire rotation. I had a GM discount coupon for a 25.00 off on my oil change.this was sent from GM to me.it had the code on it for my 2020 impala .only could be used for my car.coupon said just show this to the service writer when you arrive. I showed it to the service guy and he said you need to go home a print out the coupon before they would except it. I told him the instructions said just show this text to the service writer.i ask to speak with his boss the service manager.he told me I need to pay for my oil change an then take up the coupon with GM to get my discount refunded.. I left the garage a went over to sawyers in Dewitt .they excepted my coupon just by looking at my phone. not only that but instead of 117.00 for oil an tire rotation sawyers only charges 86.00 for the same service plus I got 25.00 off with my coupon. shaheen not only lost this one oil change but all my service needs down the road.thanks a lot RALPH. read more

I made an offer on a vehicle. The salesman came back with paperwork that just showed what they wanted if full price was paid. What was I supposed to do with that info since I already made a offer? No counter offer was provided. Never saw a business do something as dumb as that. I was leaving and the sales manager stopped me and wanted me to go back in and talk. I offered him an additional $1000 to my offer. He just stood there with a dumb look on his face...never made a counter offer. I just left. I was here earlier for service and the technician Christen Compton said a few sexist remarks to my sister he told her she needed to get an upcharge for the service and when she said she wanted to speak to me he said I see you can't think on your own and you need a man to think for you. I bought a brand new 2021 Chevy Blazer RS 3 years and 3 months ago. I love this car! Recently, the car was making noise, so I took it in to Shaheen for repairs. I trust their service team, and even though it may be more expensive, I trust their service department. The tech told me I needed my oil pan, exhaust, and drivers side chair fixed. I told them to go ahead with repairs because I want to make sure the Blazer I love is in perfect working order. Upon paying $3,064 for a three year old exhaust that was not covered by Zurich (extended warranty). I drove my Blazer home. When I got home, I noticed a smell of burning oil. After inspecting the Blazer, I found there in zero oil in the engine. I am currently working with the Shaheen team to come to a solution. I am hopeful that they are the respectable business I believe Shaheen to be. I will update after the issue is resolved. read more

Sold me a car they jerry rigged so the wifi and onstar worked while selling it to me and as soon as I got it home they all stopped working. I've been trying to get assistance for OVER a month. They refuse to call back. Onstar refuses to help anyone fix anything so I'm stuck with a car that cant have navigation, remote start, remote unlock NOTHING that requires a signal works. So we purchased a 2024 Tahoe spending the most we ever spent on a vehicle. We purchased the Zurich insurance with being told it covered everything inside and out. Three days after we bought it, I accidentally drove on white line paint. It got on the side of the paint, running board and both felt wheel wells. The road was not marked. I went to a body shop got a quote. Turned it into Zurich and was told it only covered paint. Went back to Shaheen and the used sales manager had me bring it in. Had a loaner for me to borrow. Had it for a week. I got called to pick it up. Get there, got paint off running board. Sales manager tells me he painted my felt wheel wells black. Mind you, this is without my consent. He also informed me that the black paint will eventually chip off. I am not a happy customer! I am furious. As my husband is too. This is an $80,000 vehicle. Would you want your felt wheel wells painted black without your consent? And now instead of doing the right thing and replacing the felt wheel wells he says we are black mailing him. What are we black mailing him about? We went there because we knew the salesman. Thought we were going to have a great experience and this is what it has come down to. We will never buy another vehicle from there AND we will NEVER recommend them to anyone ever! read more

I called about a jeep grand Cherokee on Monday. They had it listed for $31600. I offered $30000. They told me they couldn't drop the price. Gave me all the excuses like how they put tires on it, that it's a hot item, they know the market. They continued to call me all week and I kept saying I'll buy it for $30000. They call me on Thursday evening. Same deal, I told them I'm firm at $30000. Jake Horner tells me they can't go that low and to let him know if anything changes. That night, their website changed the price to $30400. I call Friday morning and ask and Jake acts all confused. Tells me he'll get back to me. Calls me back and says, yes our director dropped the price. I told him how frustrating it was that they played hard ball with me all week just to drop the price anyway. I tell him send me an out the door with that selling price and I'll come in tonight. He tells me he will get right on it. A COUPLE HOURS later he calls me and says they are writing it up for someone else. These guys are douche bags and you should not waste your time buying a car from them. Like a lot of businesses these days (post pandemic), the customer must bear the responsibility to pay everything at a premium to help compensate for loss sales and overworked employees. Discounts, forget it. Incentives forget those too. Service, if you are one of the unfortunate ones that need a part, get ready to hear about "backordered" and "National shortage" every time you call for a status update. Expect your vehicle to sit waiting to be repaired in the back lot for weeks, even months. Need a loaner, forget that, they now call those "rentals." They actually want to charge you for use of their vehicles, while they don't repair yours. And by the way, there is a waiting list for these rentals, which I have been assured my name is at the top of the list every time I call. Go ahead leave a message with the service manager, the service technician...maybe they will call back, maybe they won't, who knows. I would go into my specific reasons why I am writing this review, but would it help...nah...this is the way of the world and anyone who complains is just ignored and being a problem. I was looking to sell my truck back to the dealership after they reached out to me. I came in to get it appraised and left. A month later I called back to see if they were still interested. I drove an hour here only to be told they can no longer buy it due to a new rule that passed the day before saying they can buy it because it's registered in a different state but would be willing to take it in on trade. Absolute horrible service!!!! My husband and I went in to lease our first car. We sold the car we were driving to them to help pay down the cost. We were told a certain price but couldn't sign that day due to car not being on the lot (was in transit there). The car comes in and my husband goes to sign lease and now they jumped the price almost $50 a month. We had been working with Josh Bendall and asked for a supervisor. They refused to give us the price quoted. They said it's a business decision as they are low on inventory and they can just sell it for more if we walked away. In the last three years Shaheen Chevrolet has doubled their cost for oil change and tire rotation. Previously it cost me about $48 out the door, last time I came in it was $64. I was told the price increase was due to labor increase. Today, $85! Today I'm told, they apparently got in trouble with GM for their lower prices... after today there I will never be coming back here again for service or to purchase my next vehicle. We have recently purchased a vehicle from the Used Car Department at Shaheen. We were greeted by Dylan Sells, our salesman. We had not set up an appointment but he was more than happy to help us. We had looked at their inventory online prior to our visit and he took us to vehicle we wanted to check out. Dylan was great to work with, answered all our questions and made great suggestions. During the initial visit and throughout the process, we were also assisted by the Department Manager Tad Tuckerman, who was very impressive to see in action, not just with our sale but with his interactions with others customers and his staff. Business Manager Ryan Faber was a great help and was very relatable and insightful. 06/15/2019 My car engine started running hot and smoke was starting to come from under the hood, looked and all my antifreeze leaked out the reservoir, got a towed to get service done. Ended up paying $538.46 for a new hose, Dexcool coolant, and labor.... 09/20/2019 check engine light came on, went to autozone, code read that cylinder 3 was misfiring. Went to get service done, was charged $493.36 for new coil, 4 spark plugs, a diagnostics (already knew what the problem was, didn't need diagnostic) and labor... 11/29/2019 check engine light came on again, went to autozone cylinder 3 misfire, took vehicle in for service, was told camshaft cover was bad, paid $169.67 for labor and new camshaft cover... 11/30/2019 check engine light came on again, took to autozone to read code (P0303) missfire in cylinder 3, took back to shaheen for service, wait 3 hours to find out i had a faulty spark plug, but on 09/20/2019 I had all 4 replaced by shaheens supposedly, I advised them and showed my paperwork where they worked on my vehicle, got service down free of charge... when I got my car back as I was driving away the the engine light came on again, took it back and they didn't put my oil dipstick back. 12/13/2019 my car started overheating again, popped the hood and all my antifreeze leaked out again all over the engine-bay, got towed to shaheen... paid $271.75 for labor, new hose, new clamp. Had to inform them this problem happened back in June and they were supposed to had fixed it, talked to 2 supervisors and got discounted $100.00 12/29/2019 engine started over heating again popped the hood and the antifreeze leaked out again, was fed up with shaheens so took vehicle to 3rd party private mechanic, was advised that there was a zip tie holding the head gasket in place and all my oil and coolant was leaking out of there, told me I barely had any oil left... ended up paying $150.00 for oil change, new gasket, gasket seal, and antifreeze refilled, was advised to get trans flush and stay away from dealership shops as well because they'll do anything to bring you back and take your money. 02/17/2020 Vehicle is running perfectly fine, no overheating or anything, be carful who you bring your car to. read more

Nice salespeople but, over-all, not a pleasant experience. We purchased a used car from Shaheen and it was presented to my wife with a dangerously under-inflated tire and no spare. She drove it over 200 miles that way without realizing what an unsafe state the car was in. Clearly, whatever "prepping" they claim to have done didn't meet even a minimal level of competency. Perhaps the new car side is better but I'd look for used vehicles elsewhere. Update: My wife was told we couldn't find the spare tire because it's a space-saver. Seriously. read more

This place is a joke. I would NEVER recommend anyone take their car here EVER. I made an appointment for 10:30 this morning so I could take an early lunch break. Got a call saying they "over booked" for that time slot, but they said they could do 3:00. Fine. Took a super late lunch, pulled in the far left lane like I was instructed to do by the person who rescheduled my appointment. They FINALLY get to me waiting in line and the guy asked for my name, I gave it to him, he said "oh you were at 10:30" I said no, you called and moved me to 3 because you were "over booked". He said he would "find a spot for me" I finally got to pull in and asked the guy when my car would be ready, he said 35-30 min. AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER I called to see when my car would be done and they were "just finishing the paperwork". When I got there I was told it was $90 freaking dollars for an oil change when other Chevy dealers in the area are $75. I was given 2 different excuses as to why they are price gouging people. Nowhere on the app nor when I dropped my car off was I told its $90 for JUST an oil change. I am calling not only the dealership on Monday but also Chevy and the BBB for price gouging customers and not being transparent about their service prices. Was searching auto values for my nearly perfect Toyota still 25k left on warranty when I received a text out of the blue from this dealer "with a guaranteed offer/price." Seemed ok and would save me a lot of bother. I talked to the guy about it and told him that I did not want to bother if their price was any different and it was a long drive for me. He of course assured me that all was on the up and up. So, I drove to 100 miles to meet. My wife also drove separately to give me a ride home. Upon arrival, they knew nothing if Zack from the phone and he was not a salesman etc. They would appraise etc. They offered me $1300 under KBB low end for a perfect car, under warranty, with 2 day old new tires, brakes and service history. No respect for their word, my time, or any honesty. Completely disrespectful. I would not deal with a company like that under any circumstance. read more

Received a coupon for a 49.95 lube, oil &filter & car wash from GM / Shaheen Chevrolet, Lansing Mi. Expires 3/5/19. Was told this was no longer valid due to increased cost of labor/materials. Also told that the coupon was issued by GM, not Shaheen, even though their dealership name is printed on coupon. Asked how much additional cost for 3 more quarts of oil and was told oil change would be around $100.00 total cost for service. We had always been pleased with their oil/lube operation due to the professional and polite staff as well as their coupons. I now realize they place little or no value on their loyal customers.
