Some irritated guy in a pickup and van drove in, after I had to back up, since he was giving me unpleasant gestures to me as I was in the drive to exit the turn left. He got out of his truck and was trying to approach me. I quickly locked my car, he looked mad and quite aggressive. I ended up turning right to get away from him. What a scary experience. Felt unsafe and run off the drive and lot.

Michigan weather would make me want this type of soup on a regular basis. The garlic sauce is a thick dip that was great for dipping the falafel and the fries. You have the option to get your fries seasoned- do that! It has a little spice but it's perfect. The falafel was perfectly cooked. Not too dry with a little crunch. I would definitely order those on each visit. The sandwich was filling and stuffed full of perfectly seasoned chicken. The garlic dip and pickles were spread throughout the inside of the sandwich as well. The thin bread was both soft and crisp. We ended with a hot black tea with cardamom. It was a great way to finish the meal. Although it is not a profile I am used to, I enjoyed it. The service was top tier! The young man was so friendly and polite. He offered suggestions and was quick with our food. It was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommended this place. Be sure to check it out.

The food was outstanding. The lamb was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The fresh bread, rice, and overall quality of the meal reminded me why Dearborn has become one of my favorite food destinations whenever I'm in Michigan. What made the experience even better was the service from Murad. From the moment I sat down, Murad was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. He got my food out quickly, checked on me throughout the meal without being intrusive, and before I left, he thoughtfully brought me a wonderful cup of tea to finish the evening. His warm smile, positive attitude, and professionalism made a great meal even more memorable. Restaurants can serve excellent food, but great hospitality is what keeps people coming back. Murad is a perfect example of that. If management is reading this, he's doing an outstanding job representing your restaurant. I'll be back every time my travels bring me to Dearborn.

One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.

They sell a variety of different Middle Eastern spices and bottled/canned sauces in a couple of aisles. To the left side as you walk in, they have a delectable looking display of baklava and other treats (I believe that Shatila Bakery is their supplier, so you know these will be delicious). Along the left wall is a line of freezers, some of which include large bags of frozen samoon and kubba along with other baked treats. To the other side, they have some prepared food in trays and a section of seafood including a little pond in the back with live fish. We were too full from lunch to try any of their prepared food, but we came here specifically to get their bread. As soon as we walked in around 1 PM on a weekend we could smell the fragrance of fresh bread being baked in the tanoor and oven to the right side of the store. Overall, we got 5 pieces of Samoon (Iraqi Bread) and 2 pieces of Khubz (Arabic Bread/Iraqi Pita). Total cost was $5.50. They don't post prices anywhere and as other reviews on Google also state, I feel like they just charge what they feel like charging. The person that rang us up wasn't very confident when he told us the cost and then ended up short changing us by 5 cents. The bread was hot and fresh, coming out directly from the tanoor and samoon oven in a continuous flow. The khubz was almost too hot to the touch while many of the samoon were still puffed up from the heat on the interior. There are some paper bags on the side for the samoon but strangely only plastic for the khubz. While they are warm, be sure not to bag the bread up in plastic or condensation will start to build and the bread will become soggy. The samoon has a nice fragrance and a very nice chew to it - the ingredients are very simple, but very delicious. The khubz, on the other hand, has some bran or some more earthy element mixed in and is baked in a tanoor, giving it a more complex charred taste. It has some uneven crispy parts and more chewy parts giving a fantastic textural contrast. Both types of bread are perfect to eat filled with meat and veggies, or used for dipping, or our favorite method of just eating it straight while it's still fresh and hot from the oven. I think this is where Edulis Grill across the street gets their bread from. I'll have to confirm the next time I eat there. Overall I recommend going to Al-Rada Bakery to pick up fresh bread. Just be aware that they don't seem to have consistent pricing. Edit: I added this entry as Al-Rada Bakery. It can also be translated to Al-Rida or Al-Reda according to google translate. I don't know anything about Arabic, so I'm not sure what is right.
