Didn't realize how close this location was to a pumpkin picking spot we go to and now this will become our new tradition! So good, so fresh, so DELICIOUS. Love it here. Unassuming halal spot with minimal parking in the front. We always go with either chicken over salad or combo meal (lamb and chicken). Either one is so good. My family loves this place so we are definitely planning to swing by this location more often given the convenience to other nearby farms and activities.

Chicken over rice with white, red and green sauce. Black beans, lettuce tomato and peppers and onions.

First time stopping at this place for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. They can get kind of busy at lunch. I didn't wait long walking in but there were others who had ordered ahead and were sitting around. The food is worth any wait in my opinion. Nicely priced too!

    Build Your Own Salad

I Asked the woman that was sitting down on her phone behind the counter for mixed meat over lettuce. She asked me everything? I said yes. She started putting all the toppings on the salad. I told her no toppings please. She stopped working and stared me in the face ( awk 5 secs) and proceeded to try to explain to me how next time I SHOULD blah blah blah Like are you for real? Or maybe next time you should be clear about what EVERYTHING is. I would have loved for her to just make my salad how I'm asking ....Literally had to tell her to stop trying to start a fight with me over a salad and make it as that's what I came here for. Clearly she was bored and wanted to spice up her day. I'm not here to argue I'm here to get my to go order and GO! Yes I got my salad.

Combo Over Rice Platter- add hummus, chickpeas, and extra raw onion! Large portion for approx $8

This place went down so much ‍ I used to come here everyday after school when it first opened up…read morethe food used to be so good but then they switched owners and messed everything up. Every time I come here the food is always COLD AND DRY I live 3 minutes away and every time I take my food home it's room temperature!! I literally have to microwave to somewhat enjoy it and On top of that, the kid who manages it, never smiles or says anything my guy just always looks depressed or something. The other dude is mad cool though!! It's not a bad location too, it's just the fact the service and food quality is very poor

MORE TACOS!!! should be the 2022 mantra for NY. The halal taco game is on the come up (i'm pretty…read moresure the OG taco game is already on point ) and with another spot like Jalapeño shack, there's promise for the future of halal tacos on the east coast ( oh how I miss the West Coast! ) But be it in the city or out in the "Island" , it comes down to the heat and melding of flavors to give you that perfect bite. Fortunately, I had the opportunity of speaking to the chef and being that they just opened 3 months ago, their meat game looked pretty promising. And what a better way to try the meats than to order 1 of each; "Chicken, steak and ground beef por favor !" Presentation looked great but we hit an initial snag...the floor of the first taco broke through and I thought to myself "this is not lookin good"...thanks to the chef, he must have known the slight glitch in the simulation and brought me grilled tortillas (with grill marks, duh). Crisis averted. "That's how we eat tacos back home" was all I wanted to hear. Although there was a slight inconvenience of reloading each taco on the new tortilla , it was a win! Now I can't speak for the next patrons who, if they order the 3 tacos, will get the same rescue, but the staff are well aware of the hiccup in the matrix as mentioned to me by staff. Over all the experience was great...I wanted some meaty tacos with a spicy kick and their home made habanero sauce did the job! Their green sauce and creamy garlic cilantro sauce proved to be up there with the Valentina hot sauce on the table. For a flavor spice bomb, put those 3 sauces with the red bottle sauce together on your tacos (tread carefully people o_O) and behold the fiesta en tu boca! I'd definitely come back to try their burrito and tacos (again) to see the improvements. Overall for the concept, effort, talk with the chef and the JARRITOS finisher , they got the 5 stars for delivering despite the glitch *thumbs up :-D

The night was bingo night but that aside we had a good time. You can eat both inside and outside. The outside offers seating in front and back. I'm a big outdoor seating person so we ate outdoors. For the most part, everyone enjoyed their dinner. The hamburgers were good. The fried pickles were good, if you like those. The Parmesan fries were also popular, but not my thing. What caught my eye was the berry goat cheese salad. Mixed greens, berries, caramel pecans, goat cheese, and their red vinaigrette was excellent. I thought I'd throw some protein on there so added the steak. The steak was not very good so I ended up eating very little of it. Not quite sure what the taste was that the steak was giving off but not something to my liking. Otherwise, this is a terrific salad. The vegetables refresh, they gave you a ton of variety of berries, and the overall size was terrific.

I'm torn on Taïm. My feelings fall somewhere in the 3.5 realm and (from what you can see of this…read morereview) I chose to round up, though my reasoning might be a little skewed. Let me explain. I met my buddy here for dinner back in late February before heading to the nearby movie theater. I hadn't known Taïm was so close by (or to be honest, what it even was!) until my Yelp search led me to this location. A little Mediterranean-esque meal sounded good and so we strolled in around 7:45 to a semi-spacious spot with no one else in it. Perhaps it was a bit chilly inside, a tad later for some, or maybe the menu isn't/wasn't as enticing to everyone (I watched a family of 4 walk in and out after reading it over), but whatever the reason, it worked for us. Reading things over on that menu, taim feels a lot like Wild Fig or Hummus Mediterranean, two spots with a similar setup that I find to be superb. In the same bowl (or plate as they call it) manner, you can pick your rice/salad base, protein/veggie, toppings, and then sauce. There was plenty to choose from though I opted for the rice over chicken shawarma with toppings of pickled onion, feta, Kalamata olives, peppers, and a cucumber/tomato mix. I got harissa sauce on the side and it came with pita bread too. My buddy got a similar mixture of things. The price for my plate came to a little over $15 which seemed reasonable enough. Once settled at a seat, I dug into the plate with the zing of the chicken shawarma taking hold along with plenty of spicy/tangy/creamy/fresh flavors coming through as well. The pita was subpar if we're being honest here, but I used it with some of that harissa which helped. Though mostly tasty, the plate did seem a little small and by the time I finished, I probably could have had something else to feel a little more full. So why the borderline review? Honestly, the experience was fine, but as you can kind of tell, nothing about taim really jumped out to me. Interior was basic (with honestly too many stools and not enough seats), price was decent, food was pretty good, and service was ok (the staff seemed a little out of it) so me returning here feels like, at first, a real tossup...unless you throw in that proximity piece. Though it shouldn't really count, the closeness to the movie theater (which I will occasionally visit when meeting up with friends) will potentially get me to come back to a place like this again if I'm looking for a lighter type of meal. So with that in mind, taim may hold a purpose for some when in this area and wanting this type of cuisine. Overall, I think Taïm is nothing necessarily special, but it can serve a purpose with its unique type of food in a location that does not seem to offer up too much else like it. Any competition might eliminate the desire to go here and therein lies the dilemma, but for now, I'll push things north and give taim those four stars if for no other reason than where it is and what's around it. Perhaps more visits (because of cinema closeness) will help to solidify those four celestials, but only time will tell.

We ordered the noodles regular so they should have had some sauce but there was none. The chicken dishes were both really good. The chicken wasn't overly fried or breaded.
