Pretty solid gyro pita sandwich. The gyro pieces are thick cut but a tad tad salty. I wish the tomatoes were chopped instead of sliced in the pita as it couldn't be rolled close. Sandwich was also quite cold despite only eating it minutes after it was made. The coconut cake was a nice bite with the floral and citrusy syrup. I had the displeasure of eating food from here today. I was too tired to drive to my usual spot (Pete The Greek) so I decided to give this place a try. Boy oh boy do I ever regret it. The portions are lacking, except for the salad of course.the salad took up half the tray and then you have two little cup tray areas for the potatoes and the chicken souvlaki. The potatoes hardly had any flavor and The chicken lacked flavor as well. I was greatly disappointed that the chicken was thighs and not white meat chicken breast like at my usual spot. At these prices, they shouldn't be cutting corners. This place would not give me half rice and half potatoes like my usual spot and I understand why,the tray is not big enough. I guess that explains why the place was empty With no takeout order sitting on the counter. My usual place usually has 5 to 10 bags sitting there waiting to be picked. I'm pretty surprised at all the positive reviews and wondering if something happened or the place is under new management. Unfortunately, this was some of the most underwhelming Greek food I've ever had. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing, but thought we'd at least be getting standard Greek fast casual. Quality was lacking, nothing was fresh, and flavor was non existent. Three of us came in for lunch (only ones dining in) and they messed up two of our orders, but rectified it without an issue. This is what we ordered: spanakopita, bowl with grilled chicken, Greek salad with beef & lamb gyro meat, and beef & lamb gyro pita. I have been ordering from this place for a good while. The service has always been good and the food. We ordered today for a a family get together and I was in disbelief; the portions (used to be a tray, now a circle container) were very meager. This place is a gem. I got a grilled chicken gyro and I ate the entire thing which is crazy because I never find anything THAT good. The food was fresh. Just want to give a shout out to The Greek Grill. As a Huntington resident, I have been going to The Greek Grill for. many years. They now have new owners and we stopped by for a quick dinner after a movie last night. We both had a gyro. Greek Grill's is a bit different because they mix lamb and beef. Delicious! For anyone who wants a lower carb version, The Greek Grill offers a gyro bowl. By the way, I recently learned that gyros sometimes have soy "meat" added. The owner (Alex) told me that their gyros are 100% meat. So glad to hear that! We also had the Greek fries, which were so good! We also shared a galatobouriko, which while it's my husband's favorite Greek dessert, it's not mine. However, I loved this one and would give it an A+. I'm looking forward to stopping by for a quick lunch. read more

Went here for lunch w friends. The place is small but hopping. Lots of people Picking up. We opted to eat in. Wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. We shared saganiki (a melted cheese and grilled tomato dish) it was warm and flavorful. It had warm feta w tomato on top w melted Greek cheese. Came w pita a good start to share. I had octopus well cooked and lots of flavor it came w onion and green peppers under it. My friends did salads one w gyro meat and they took off what she didn't like and add more of what she liked. My other friend had salad w souvlaki she like the marinade meat but the chunks need to be cut smaller for her. She like the tzatziki sauce. One friend order for her husband to take home and rice pudding. She said he loved his dish and the rice pudding was good tasting. They don't make ice tea but do have refillable soda. So all good. The gyro is top-notch, but if you're into meat diversification perhaps the Grill-Mix appetizer would work, as you'll also get pork souvlaki, Cypriot sausage and meatballs. And even if you're aiming for a slightly lower calorie count, the salmon's good too. With various entrees, plates, bowls and sides, it's best to do your homework, but it's worth it.. During this excellent birthday dinner, via delivery, I ate many things but didn't eat everything. Hope to try more dips in the future but for now I recommend the taramosalata. read more

New ownership, bad taste in our mouths. We got takeout as most do and they gave us white sauce from the restaurant next door, Kabul (Afghan cuisine) instead of their usual Greek tsasizki. The new owner said that customers like it more! I don't think so. They are very different recipes - Afghan white sauce has mayo, yogurt, vinegar, and garlic. Greek tsaziki has yogurt, garlic, cucumber, and dill. We weren't expecting Afghan sauce at the Greek Grill. The new owner said next time he will make the tsaziki just for us. What?! Also, the Greek salad dressing was almost all oil. He makes that for everyone. In the past it was half wine vinegar, oregano, and, half oil. Also, there's just dark chicken without seasoning now in the kabobs. This place is sinking fast. A shame. read more

Never again!!! I recently ordered take out using a menu I picked up last November 2024. I have ordered takeout from The Greek Grill many times before and have never been disappointed. This time I ordered a Greek Hamburger. When I brought the order home it wasn't what I ordered. They used a regular hamburger bun instead of pita bread and put the feta cheese and taziki sauce in separate little containers and charged extra for each. I returned it. They explained they are working off a new menu. Apparently new owners too but failed to mention this. I told them the hamburger was supposed to be on pita bread. The woman at the counter said "we try to make what the customer asks for". They should have told the truth when I placed the order over the phone that they didn't offer this on the menu. I am in the food industry and the keftedes were hockey pucks the dolmades the rice wasn't even cooked the portion size for what you charge is a JOKE!!!! You get better food ON THE DAMN STREET!!!! My husband and I are new to this neighborhood and looking for a Greek spot which we found! We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and we enjoyed our chicken souvlaki bowl and gyro! Consistently excellent food from a caring group. The owner often comes out and checks on how everything is. He occasionally drops off food to try. You can tell he puts his heart into the business. The Greek Grill is our GO-TO for greek food whenever we do take out. We have ordered from them for years, so of course we wanted to support them during the lockdown too. They handled the ordering and pickup well and within all the protocols for safety. Everything is always delicious, from the variety of gyros to snacking appetizers and huge salads, that you can customize to your liking. And the best part is the consistency. Every single time, the food is great. So when you're craving Greek, you know you'll be able to satisfy it here. I usually order a falafel gyro and they are one of the few greek places that make them perfect for my taste. I'm not a fan of spicy so they get it right. But truly all of the gyros are good. I ordered the lemon chicken soup as I waited for my chicken gyro, onion rings, and baklava...As soon as I placed a spoonful into my mouth, I was captivated by the taste and savory flavor. Truth be told, this is my first review as it is not my thing but I had to. I have stomach issues so I eat to live not live to eat so food has become a functional transaction for me and I forego "enjoying" my food because of that. This made me enjoy my food. Normally I will get acid reflux from fried foods but the onion rings were fresh, tasted very good; did not have that aftertaste that I get from fried foods because the oil is old or dirty. The gyro was fresh and tasted good. The baklava is SO fresh and good too. Did I mention that I liked the lemon chicken soup SO much that I ordered a large container of it so I could have more at home!!! read more

Second time here and I will definitely be back! I was wanting Baba Ganoush and some places don't make it right but The Greek Grill does a pretty good job of it. It was slightly smokey and nice and creamy, just could have used a little more smoky flavor. I also got a greek salad in a pita and it was delicious, perfect of you want to not be weighed down by your dinner. The last time I was there, I had falafel in a pita and it was great. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very very nice. The other people that I was eating with agreed that the food was excellent and we all would come back again. Hopefully soon! read more
