We got an appetizer platter which was fantastic but very pricey, if I'm remembering right it was $36ish and just because of the price I would not order it again. We also ordered the obligatory kebabs and cherry rice. Of course we loved them. For the first time ever we tried some desserts. I just ordered the oddest sounding thing. Falooda. Now I'm dreaming of eating it again! Rose/Lemon ice with little noodles! There was also some tart cherries in juice on the side and a lemon wedge. We're in a safe space so I won't worry about the few haters who may be reading, but sometimes at a restaurant I'll skip my favorites so that I can have new content for reviews and photos. I was quite lucky to revisit the excellent jujeh kebob and torshi at Ravagh Trip 2: Electric Boogaloo while expanding the map. Khoresh Bademjan has a sauce so enticing you might drink it. And this zereshk polo meets the Third Level of Barberryness. The first level is satisfaction in the mere idea of consuming barberries and the second is the photo appeal. Ravagh is better than most purveyors in that you can actually taste this quirky, sweet ingredient. The service was outstanding on both excursions. read more

This is one of my favorite places in Huntington! The quality of the food is top tier, and it's obvious the food is made fresh to order. The pita is always so warm and fresh. The combination platter is a great way to get a taste of a variety of meats. The barg is marinated beef that is so soft and tender, it's truly delicious, the jujeh is chicken that is big pieces and is so juicy, and the Koobideh is ground beef that has so much flavor. The albaloo polo rice is my absolute favorite. The sweet and sour cherries, almonds, and pistachios compliments the basmati rice so well. It is my favorite rice hands down! I can eat a whole plate for myself, since it's so light and fluffy. Service is great, the wait staff is accommodating, and the food comes out quickly. The ambiance is nice as well. Comforting kebabs for a very affordable price in Huntington! Easily one of the best spots in the village. Tried the chicken koobideh which was well seasoned, a generous portion, and succulent. Wish the onion was milder but this was otherwise a very complete meal. Rice was also perfectly cooked - had a good bite but not underdone. House pita with butter, yogurt, and cilantro sauce to start. Service was great. My glass of water was never empty. Recently did a large to-go order from this spot. Was looking forward to trying their vegan options. They had a veggie kabob, which was ok but a little soggy. It may have tasted better fresh if I ate in-person. The hummus was excellent as the other reviews stated. The eggplant dip was good, but a little too charred tasting for my liking. The salad was a good size, but definitely very plain Jane without the feta. I wish they had a dairy-free dressing or vegan feta option (pretty accessible at most grocery stores) for dairy-free folks. The pita didn't taste fresh, but rather frozen which was a disappointment. Not sure if I'd try again until they get more vegan options. read more

Still amazing. My wife and I had a flawless dinner here last night, for the first time in-person in a bunch of years. Service was a bit slow (I should not have had to ask for a second glass of wine when my first was empty) but it was Saturday night. Started as usual with the Kashk-Bademjan, the silkiest most decadently delicious eggplant dish you can eat, accompanied by rose prosecco. For the main, I tried (on my son's recommendation) the salmon kebabs, and they were incredible; the dill rice was the perfect complement. Loved our baklava, good coffee, too. My only suggestions: 1) The wine list is nice, but would maybe also be cool to have a small cocktail list, even better if they have a Persian accent (maybe rose, saffron etc). 2) Would love to see a few more traditional Persian desserts on the menu. read more

Ravagh Grill is a wonderful Persian restaurant in Huntington! They have a large menu with many Persian favorites and classics. My friend and I placed a to go order to take home because the restaurant was packed. We got Ash Reshteh, Kotlet, Dill Rice, Albaloo Polo, Koobideh and Barg. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only item I did not like was the Kotlet. The last and texture was not traditional. I'm not sure if it was, but it almost seemed like It was breaded and the flavor wasn't great. Everything else was excellent. I do feel like the price of the dinner kabob is high, but I was happy to spend it for quality food. I would definitely recommend trying Ravagh Persian Grill. read more

Very busy restaurant in Huntington. That is one of our favorites. Inside is clean and sophisticated, with a huge amount of pick up or delivery food traffic heavy and flowing through the restaurant which speaks to its popularity! Food is always incredible. prepared to perfection, seasoned incredibly, and always hot and fresh!!! What a treat that is. The lentil soup is absolutely incredible, bright and fresh tasting. I highly recommend topping it with the sumac herbs they have on the table! We typically get the white meat chicken with rice and split a cucumber salad. Having visited her "sister" in Manhattan, it was time to check out the Huntington member of the family. To start: this outpost is as good as, if not better than, the one on the Upper West Side - excellent service, great food, decent prices. Having ordered one appetizer and the combo kebab platter with albaloo polo rice (divine!), there was more than enough food for us to enjoy at home as a second dinner. The atmosphere is pretty without being gaudy, classy but not haughty. Some diners wore jeans while others "dressed up". Issues: parking on a Saturday evening is a challenge- start looking several blocks away and grab what you can find. Decaf coffee was meh - they can do better than that! My Turkish friend invited me here for dinner. Not sure why we chose this location as it took me like 1hr15mins to drive here but I guess there was some rush hour traffic to blame. No reservations were needed and there is parking behind the restaurant and also street parking. The area is kinda downtown feel, lots of other shops etc. Not too crowded for a Friday night so seating was fast. We ordered the salad for apps. It was sorta like a Shepherd's salad but they had a diff name for it. I was torn between getting the Branzino or Salmon Kebab for ultimately I went off course and got the Lamb Shank, with a side rice and an extra order of grilled veggies. The grilled veggies were really good...broccoli, zucchini and maybe 1 more item. The Lamb was big and not too heavy on the flavor. It came in a soupy type of broth which I am not sure what I was supposed to do it. I ended up spooning it on my rice and wished the broth was a bit thicker in that case. My friend for the Chicken Kebab. I tasted the chicken and I was quite surprised at how flavorful the chicken was. From other experiences, I can't always trust how restaurant flavor their kebabs but this was actually good. The portion size was a surprise. I think from the photos online I didn't expect big portions but they were large. I basically took 60-70% of my lamb home with the rice and veggies because I was full. Drink menu is a bit limited so we both just had Coke. We shared the pistachio dessert which was good and not too sweet. And we also had some Turkish tea. The service was good. It wasn't busy so I think the staff had enough time to focus on the guest appropriately. read more

The food has always been great and my wife and myself usually get the chicken kebabs and often I get the lamb koobideh. The salads are good, we either get the Shirazi salad or the Mediterranean salad. The dolmeh were excellent, and we tried a couple of other appetizers that were good as well (including chickpea-stuffed fried dumplings!). My stew was interesting: beef, yellow peas, and dried lemon. I'm not sure why it was topped with potato sticks; this didn't seem very authentic but did add some crunch. I was very turned off by the dried lemon: when I cut into it, a black goo seeped out into my stew. I was assured that this was normal, but it was still gross and tasted funny. This was my first time going to this location. Place looks really nice, and is in a great location. For apps, we had the Kotlet, Hummus, and Aush Reshteh. Kotlet was delicious. Super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And the hummus was probably the best I've had. Really fluffy and smooth, and balanced flavor with the garlic and lemon. Aush was ok, I've had better. Was way too thick for a soup and didn't taste fresh. After apps, it took almost 30 minutes to get our mains! And there was only 2 other tables so they weren't busy at all, very annoying. Bronzino was good. Gormeh Sabzi was ok. The rice was disappointing. This is a persian restaurant and their rice were bland. No taste of butter or saffron. You could tell they just used food coloring. They weren't light and fluffy, they tasted old. Bastani ice cream was good. However, the main thing is, our dinner for 2 came out to be over 150 bucks! All for pretty much an average dinner. I've been to miraj healthy grill and the quality is better, and prices are half they are here. Overall, I will not be coming back as the price points r insane and the food isn't amazing. The food was fantastic for the most part, but the service was so disappointing that it ruined the meal for us. We ordered two bargs and two koobidehs, two basic Iranian dishes, and the meat was very tender and fresh. My dad even said it was the best he's in out of any Iranian restaurant as of late. However, the waitress was so slow to serve us that the entire meal felt like we were waiting for something like silverware. Mind you, she was serving three tables. There were a few mess-ups as well; we ordered green rice instead of white rice on three of the dishes, and they didn't deliver on that. We also asked for onions and lime, as that's the traditional way to eat kabob, and they took so long to bring them that by the time they did, the food was cold. I even got up and went to the bar area of the restaurant to ask for this, as we wanted to eat our food, but the man who was also working got all irritated with me and said, "it's being prepared!" Dude, how long does it take to cut up some raw onions and lime? The waitress also had no idea what certain things we ordered were, like doogh, a basic Iranian drink. She took forever to bring us random little things, like the two sauces we asked for. Last, they charged us for tahdig, which is always complimentary at Iranian restaurants, including the other Ravaghs we have been to. So many complaints from our experience there. read more
