William and I stopped by for lunch. Liked the name so we gave it a try. It is off the beaten path in a driving range type facility. The building is the back building. Plenty of parking. The interior is bright and beachy. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Fun menu with tacos, bowls and nachos. Very busy place. The service was very friendly. Well, sad to say I have to be done with this place even though it's in walking distance of my home. I was happy with it when it first opened, but the past few times I've been in, I didn't feel I got what I paid for. Chips are not provided unless paid for. I get not giving away chips with a meal, but I ordered guacamole and was told chips don't come with it. Really? And no one asks if I want salsa so I always have to ask for it, and sometimes I don't get a cup until several minutes after I order a meal that comes with a drink. No salt and pepper on the table, which I really needed for the guacamole because it was bland; it was literally just smashed avacados in a plastic cup. I have been here twice. This first visit, I had asked for light coconut rice in my Veggie Taco (first time ordering this item). When I received the Taco, half of it was full of rice. I had asked one of the employees, who was wiping down the table and seemed willing to help me. When I asked her about this, she said that "the cooks make these tacos in large batches and don't pay attention to the tickets nor alter how they are requested to be made." I said it gives you the option for "light rice" online and it even said it on this ticket? Then she said, "ya they don't pay attention to that. If you are diabetic or something, you need to tell them at the register so they can red flag your ticket to make sure they make it properly as requested if it's a medical issue." She didn't offer to remake it nor apologize. That was disappointing to hear that I have to put my medical issues on the ticket for this request to be honored, so lesson learned- make sure to double check your food when you have special requests, as they don't seem to take them seriously according to her or you can list all your medical issues at the register in hopes they will consider relevant enough to honor your food requests. read more

We really enjoy Hampstead Shaka! The food is always very good and the staff is 10 out of 10! The shrimp tacos and chicken nachos are a family favorite! It's nice to have the option to hang and listen to a band, hit some golf balls or play some pickleball. We also love stopping by during the farmers market. 4 out of 5 because seating is sometimes an issue and the "hangout area" that was great for tweens/teens is now geared more towards younger parents/toddlers. read more

Ate here today around 1 pm. A little difficult to find. It's located near a golf course and there are several buildings grouped together. Place and bathrooms were clean, not too busy, and staff were nice. I got the birria plate special and my husband got a taco. We also got chips, queso, guacamole, and salsa. It was reasonably priced. The chips and salsa tasted bad. The chips were stale, and the salsa tasted almost spoiled so we didn't eat it. Queso and the guacamole were good as were the birria tacos. It came with a very small side of black beans and coconut rice which tasted like plain rice. Mine also came with chopped cilantro, cabbage and a smidge of sour cream. I ate that separately because the taco was fused together. My husband didn't like his taco, so I gave him some of mine. They put jalapeños on his and the there was too much juice from the jalapeño on the taco which made it too spicy for him to eat. Probably won't be going back. Might be good to check out the food on the weekend to see if it is any fresher. read more

The pricing is high compared to places I've been before, EX. Burrito Shak, Margaritas. Was loud in the outdoor area. The line took about 15-20 minutes. Cashiers were nice. Probably went at a busy time because I had trouble finding parking that was close.. Had shade for outdoor area. Beer was a bit pricey but good taste. Flies are terrible. The yard natzi was unbearable policing kids. And the worst part was the "live" music. Can't enjoy an evening with friends over the loud DJ singing poorly. This is not a family friendly atmosphere. According to management, they've had some issues with kids getting hurt.... hence the yard natzi. We were at the Ironclad location. I eat here all the time. My go to is the chicken taco on a corn tortilla. It's delicious...so much so that I get it again and again and again. This place is pretty busy. Lots of outdoor seating.
