The Woodshed ended up being an awesome space for it and we couldn't recommend it enough. First off, Anndrea was a pleasure to work with. She toured the venue with us, answering all of our questions the day of and afterwards. She was quick to respond and very friendly throughout the entire time. Shoutout to Tiffany as well, who was able to help us out on the day of the event, and helped to bar tend. The venue itself is also such a fun space, with fun accents, such as the live plant wall and the fun tap handles. We created a Spotify playlist that we were able to play using the venue speakers, and we even used the projector screen that they had to play our Nintendo Switch games during the welcome party. Street parking was plentiful and our guests ended up loving the venue as well. We would highly recommend the Woodshed for anyone looking for a fun space to host a gathering or party!

The venue itself is beautiful and has so many unique features, such as a live plant wall, chalk wall, and opportunities to utilize both the inside and outside for the ceremony and reception. The property is absolutely stunning, with well maintained grounds, ample parking, a spacious, air conditioned bridal suite with mirrored walls, clothes racks, and an ironing board. The suite even has its own bathroom. The venue has a decent sized dance floor along with enough room inside to seat close to 200 guests. The bathrooms were clean and had multiple stalls to accommodate the ladies. There is also a huge kitchen with a walk in frig that is available for use as part of your rental. We had approximately 250+ guests attend our event and there was plenty of space in the back lawn area for over flow seating. We used the outdoor patio area to set up 4 buffet lines of food. 2 lines for our catered meal, 1 line for kids meal, and 1 line for our cultural foods. The patio area also had ample room for us to place our photo booth there. The back grass and patio area looks spectacular at night with the market lights to add to the festive ambiance. The grounds were large enough to house an adult sized jumper that helped to keep our younger guests entertained. The grass area still had plenty of available space for a corn hole spot, our marquee letter signs and our taco guy we hired to end our night's festivities. Shannon is the property manager, and she is a true gem. She worked tirelessly with us to help obtain all our vendor COIs and was extremely kind to allow us to come the day before our party to drop off our drinks and many party supplies. Anything we needed, Shannon was there to help resolve. She is friendly and professional, with a sense of humor to boot. We received sooo many compliments from our family and friends about how beautiful the venue was. Of course, anyone who dealt with Shannon adored her and her down to earth vibe! We loved that we could bring our own food to the venue without being tied to a set list of food vendors. The bar area was also spacious and the bartender kept the libations flowing all night long. The Optimist Club has 3 belly tables with linens that came with rental of the venue. These worked out fabulously for our guests wanting to hang out by the bar and smoking area. We highly recommend the Vista Optimist Club for your next large family gathering. Our sincere thanks to Shannon for helping to make our party a huge success!

The place looks great, and if you book two lanes, you get a semi-private booth that makes you feel way more VIP than your bowling score probably deserves. One thing to know: the no outside food or drink policy is enforced with the enthusiasm of airport security. I'm talking employee walking around checking to see if anyone is eating or drinking anything that wasn't ordered on-site. Don't even think about bringing in your emotional support water bottle. The funny part is they have tablets at every booth so you can order without bothering anyone...except our server wanted us to order directly through them anyway. So the tablet mostly served as a high-tech menu. We had a great time. The atmosphere is lively, the setup is awesome for groups, and I'd happily come back--just hydrated in advance.

They have a no outside food/drink policy which is fine, but one employee came up to my table and rudely told me I needed to tell my friend to put her water bottle in her car or throw it away. Maybe five minutes later, two older women sat down at the bar directly in front of another employee with their large hydro flasks and nobody said anything. This same rude employee also walked by them several times, but did not tell them to put theirs away. When I received the text our lane was "almost" ready, I walked up to the desk to ask if that meant it actually was or if we needed to wait longer. Unfortunately it was the same rude man I had the displeasure of speaking to and he rudely told me, "Your lane IS ready, we just send it as a courtesy." How am I supposed to know if my name was never called and the language from the text was misleading? I got everyone's shoe sizes and ended up having to exchange two pairs. When I went back up to the desk, I tried talking to another employee and apologized but I'd forgotten which lane number we'd been assigned. He asked the rude employee which lane and the rude employee sighed and said "she already forgot?" What kind of customer service is that?? Let alone who talks to another person like that while on the clock? I'd already paid for everything and didn't want to disappoint the kids so I gritted my teeth and walked away. The rest of bowling was fine and went without issue. Towards the end of our bowling time, a very kind employee, I believe he was the new manager on the clock, came over and asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything. He made our experience better, but we were already annoyed from the first rude man. Lucky Strike itself is a very nice alley complete with a bar and two arcade areas. The bathrooms are super clean and MOST of the employees are super kind. They definitely work hard to keep the facility clean. Overall, our experience was slightly ruined by the rude man up front. Unfortunately I did not catch his name but he was slightly balding and maybe Latino? If we do go back, I will be mentioning this to whoever the manager on duty is.

We went around 2 p.m., so it wasn't very crowded, and we were seated right away. Service was friendly, attentive, and prompt throughout the meal. My dad really enjoyed his meal. He loved the side salad and especially the country fried steak, which he said was the best he'd had in a long time. My mom also thought the baked potato soup was delicious. My mom and I both ordered the roast turkey dinner, and unfortunately it didn't quite hit the mark for either of us. The stuffing had a texture we didn't love, and the turkey and mashed potatoes were a little bland, even with the generous amount of brown gravy. We also would have preferred broccoli over the zucchini that came with the meal. That said, the food wasn't bad, just not our favorite choice from the menu. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and has a lot of charming decor that gives it character. Since some of the dishes were such a hit with my parents, I'd definitely come back and try something different next time.

My experience with Home Wedding Sites as a venue matching service has been pretty decent…read more Communications with the owner have been very pleasant, professional, courteous, and friendly even though there were a number of delays in response. But overall they have some pretty decent properties listed. My only criticisms is that I wish their profile information for the property was a bit more specific especially detail need to know set ups for events and whatnot. Basically profiles just have a limited number of pictures and general location and general cost, and maybe some house stats (qty rooms/bathrooms etc). It would be nice if more information was provided and more pictures, things like where are cars parked, and is this a day of place, does it have overnight accommodations, maybe even layouts of the event areas that are available for use, any rules for the property, whether the owners live on site or not....is there storage, where can the caterers cook? That sort of thing. At the least if the information was provided up front those planning would be able to ascertain whether a property is right for them before going through the arduous process with the owners to set up an appointment to tour the location. In the 3 months of communicating with the office we viewed about 20 ish of their listed properties, and decided we were interested in pursuing three of them after some Google satellite image searches and look at what information was provided. It took 3 months, and we were only able to get a tour with one property which ultimately ended up being a shared property with the owners and only a day of location. Which is ok for us in a pinch but for the area and cost would not have really that worth it....the other ended up cancelling their contracts with HWS or something to that effect. But meeting with the owner of HWS was blast, she's very sweet and helpful and it is a free service for the bridegroom. I'm still maintaining contact with HWS in hopes a new property that better suits us pops up that's better than our top pick right now which is just located in an inconvenient area to overnight accommodations but the property is amazing. But as far as Home Wedding Sites goes, it worth connecting with them. They have properties of all budgets, to each his own terms, some daily, some weekly, some even monthly, some overnight, some day of, etc etc...but all the properties are nicer than your average wedding venues, more homey, better than many of the vacation rentals I've seen, some more palatial, others more convenient. There was another similar business who lists wedding venue estates that had a couple of estates, one I think was called Bali estate, another Emma estate, but that company was a nightmare to communicate with, so I'm hoping those awesome properties begin to work with HWS because its a better service in my opinion,
