Adobada Burrito was terrible, meat was not cooked all!! For the price of $20 I'd expect for the meat to at least be cooked all the way.

I am going to to start with the menu. The menu has a lot of the generic items that I would expect to have at any mexican restaurant. I notice 3 three things I didn't like about the menu. The lack of description of each item, I understand each restaurant has it own style i respect that, but am I supposed to feel confident to order anything if you don't list the indregidents. Second, why offer chiken nuggets at a Mexican seafood resturant. Also a simple translation would help on the menu,. I speak Spanish and English not a big surprise but all your clients Spanish. Third, my grandma had order their barbacoa it was cold to the touch , we had to request for them to heat it. The drinks were pretty much standard . Jartitos and agua frecas from a machine. Nothing special, just a small family owned Mexican restaurant. They serve up basic Mexican food like tacos and burritos. Decent selection on seafood dishes and breakfast dishes. You get chips and salsa to start. Salsa is nothing special, although it is fresh. Portions are good. Not too small not too large. Prices are reasonable. Good flavor to the food. Service is OK. 3 of us ate for 28 bucks. Overall, not a bad place. I went here during breakfast/ lunch hours but it seems like they serve up beer and liquor during dinner hours. They also have a big screen TV that show the games. Looks like a local hang out joint. read more

I recently went to eat here, I been there in the past and had no issues food was great and friendly people. How ever, this last time I visited I was extremely shock with the overrated prices, and to top it off the food wasn't event great! Small portions. I wanted some tamales from the place next door, but the place was closed. I was low on gas and curious about this place, which was a few doors down, so I walked in and it was a ghost town. I walked up to the bar and saw a menu and everything was so expensive for what it was. With prices like these you'd figure that either the food was bomb as hell or they were generous with there portions, sadly that wasn't the case for either scenario. I paid $15 for Carne Asada fries, and all they gave me was: the meat, the fries, some guacamole and some cheese. No sour cream, no pico de Gallo, no refried beans, just those four basic ingredients. For $15 you'd think they'd give me some sour cream, after all it usually comes standard with Asada fries almost everywhere you go, but apparently not here. On top of that the meat was bland and the texture was that of boiled meat; the guacamole was bland; the cheese was almost non existent, and of low quality, also bland; and the fries were....that's right you guessed it, BLAND! The only reason I gave the place two stars was because the employee was real friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere, but other than that the food is bland, expensive, and the portions are smaller than the industry standard. This place has got to be some sort of money laundering front cause there's no way any person could mismanage a restaurant this badly. On the off chance this place isn't a money laundering front it will surely go belly up within a matter of months. Like most poorly run businesses, the owner(s) will probably blame it on regulations or taxes or whoever is sitting in office, but in reality the only one to blame for their failure is themselves. So I am an Elite yelper and I thought I would weigh in on the low stars this place had been receiving. First the service was awesome, maybe it was this particular server named Sandra (formerly from the now closed Acapulco) she is so friendly, attentive and gave us great recommendations. We started with the Michalda with Victoria beer and a mango margarita. The Michalda was great and the margarita was okay. Next we had Aguachilies Camarones which was fresh and very spicy. We finished with the Molcajete which came with 3 shrimp, grilled chicken, carne, fresh cheese and nopals (cactus). If was pretty good and all was freshly made. I suggest you all give it a try and form your own opinion. My one suggestion, go when Sandra is there (Friday-Sunday) for the best experience. read more

I was diving by and was famished so I took a chance at Mariscos Los Pinos. I had gone there when a previous owner ran the restaurant, this was several years back. I read the yelp reviews and most we're not very complimentary. I said what the heck I will give it a try anyway. First so all the place is rather spartan and some would say a little sketchy. Many PPV boxing posters on the walls and Spanish language soccer on the TV. It reminded me of some of the basic family restaurants I have visited in Mexico. If you not into leaving your cultural comfort zone this place is not for you. Me, I like the experience and can overlook the ambience. Now for the food. They specialize in seafood but have other options including carne asada tacos and burritos as well as other Mexican specialties. Hungry I choose the mixed fajitas which includes shrimp, beef and chicken. The shrimp were small but delicious as was the chicken and beef. The vegetables included caramelized onions and bell peppers were served on a sizzling cast iron platter with a side plate of rice and beans. I requested beans and veggies which included carrots and broccoli. I ordered corn tortillas and to my delight they were freshly made and so delicious. Overall the portion was huge and very delicious. The retried beans were outstanding as we're the fajitas and the tortillas. I was asked if I wanted more tortillas (free) but declined. This could easily served two. Forget the negative reviews...if you are adventuress and don't mind the meager ambience and like freshly made corn tortillas, then try thus place. read more

Sit at the bar, only customer in the place (should have seen that as a sign) the waiter is on the phone for the first ten minutes of me being there. Ordered a compenchana, which was prepared while he was still on the phone! Had to ask for limes, crackers and chips and salsa and his response was always, "oh yeah, yeah, yeah sorry" the food was average but the chips and salsa... Perfection. If I could give this place negative stars I would. After $117 and some change, a call to the police and a ruined family meal, I can definitely say I had my worst dining experience EVER. TERRIBLE/non existent menu descriptions, FOOD I COULD NOT EAT, DISHONEST/SHADY employees and just a terrible experience. Long story short, came here with my family including my kids, husband and my parents. The meal I ordered wasn't what I expected (watered-down guacamole, meat drowned in spicy salsa and 3 very small corn tortillas). I brought it up with the staff who belittled me, offered no solutions and their only statement is that I was to return the food at first sight before tasting if I didn't like it. When I asked to speak to the manager, the waitress lied, said she was the manager. I told her I didn't think it was fair to pay for a meal that I couldn't eat. She left and then came back to tell me that she was sorry but that she would be in trouble for taking my meal off the tab.Some other lady came out from the kitchen, extremely rude and told me that the manager had left and that I could go look at the dishwasher. Then an unidentified man came out of the kitchen, pretending that he couldn't speak English and told us in Spanish to never come back to his restaurant again. Police were called. We weren't going to just leave without paying the tab but wanted to pay what was fair. When the police arrived, this man miraculously began to speak English and identified himself as manager to the police. The manager told the police to write us a ticket so that he could just see us in court. The police explained to him that no ticket would be issued because we had not committed any crime, we were willing to pay for the meals that we had eaten, just not my meal. The police explained to us all that this was a civil matter and that both parties had to come to an agreement. My husband suggested to the heated manager to give us a fresh meal without the hot salsa(the menu did not say it was spicy and the waitress did not describe it as spicy when I asked what the item was earlier). He said no. This wasn't a matter of $22 for my meal, this was a matter of principle. I paid for a meal that was too spicy for me to eat. The customer is always right, but not for these people. Again, crappy food, DISHONEST/TERRIBLE/hostile customer service. The manager was even getting loud and raising his voice and arguing with police. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh, I'm so annoyed. I should've walked out when I saw the dirty, dingy carpets. I'm glad my kids hardly touched their food. BEWARE!!! read more

If you are looking for a luxury dining experience, this isn't the place for you. The restaurant is a dumpy little hole in the wall in a strip mall, but they have DELICIOUS food. The menu has tons of typos and no description of what each plate is, and it was difficult to ask questions because the young waitress spoke limited English. That aside, the chips were warm, the salsa was hot and fresh, and the food was terrific. I got a fish plate with some kind of red sauce, my husband got a pork plate with green chile sauce, and our daughter got a basic bean/cheese burrito. None of us had leftovers - we ate every bite. The women's bathroom is quirky - a room with two toilets but no stalls or barriers and no door lock - literally if you sit on the toilet and someone opens the door - everyone will see your business. They are in the midst of renovations so maybe that will change. Nonetheless, we had a 2-for-1 coupon and took a gamble and were pleasantly surprised. The food is GREAT, but as I stated above, this is a little dive with an old decor. So I recently visited this restaurant last Friday with a couple of friends and we really liked it . They welcomed us with greetings . They have really good service and their food was incredibly delicious. We were also entertain by their live music which occurs on Friday - Sunday staring at 5 pm. To be honest this restaurant is pretty nice and you feel welcomed . If you like a place to eat at peace then this is a place to be. Or if you like to listen to bands during the weekends then I really recommend it here. read more

I've gone in to eat here several times. I like the place its nice and quite. I personally like the burritos but love the mix fajitas. Man that is good stuff, fajitas with steak, chicken and shrimp. When they serve it, the plate is hot and it sizzles haha. They even make homemade tortillas for some dinners plates.
