I needed a quick lunch while Christmas shopping, and Shake Shack was a reliable hit. This location is a standalone restaurant at one end of the Burlington Mall. Very clean location with a good number of booth and high top tables. I ordered at the kiosk, and the food was piping hot and ready in a reasonable amount of time. My double hamburger with avocado on a gluten free bun was tasty and well caramelized. It was a bit saltier than some other Shake Shack burgers I've had, but otherwise it was pretty consistent - a bit greasy but hit the spot. I do wish that their burgers generally came with more than one piece of lettuce, but they gave me a good amount of avocado. I resisted fries and the dairy free shake this time around, but might succumb next time! read more

Lunch here hits pretty hard, though it's very expensive. Expect to pay about $40 for two people: two burgers, cheese fries, and water bottles. Portions are also not the most generous across Shake Shacks in general. I got the crispy chicken sandwich which comes with ranch dressing, pickles, lettuce, and is topped with a pillowy potato bun. It was great. My brother got the classic shack burger- you can't go wrong. We both got the cheese fries which were perfect. Service was efficient throughout the restaurant but it took a while for us to get our food, but staff was friendly! The burger was pretty good. Nice smashburger style patty that's nice and crispy. Fries were lacking taste overall, not enough salt and just tasted pretty plain. Came in for a quick dinner takeout. Ordered online and service was very fast. App was easy to use and clear with pictures. Inside was alright. I wouldn't say this is the best shake shack I've been to. Quiet and dim inside. I prefer the Woburn shake shack better for hanging out. This location also has flies hanging out at the condiment area where the ketchup dispensers are. As for food,, got a spicy shackmeister double burger and fries. The burger is great. Loved the spice sauce. It works so well with the fried onion rings and the meaty double patties. Fries are good. I was expecting soggy and starchy crinkle cut fries like those from elementary school but these fries have their own character. It has a bit of a crunch and not starchy at all. It was good. Overall, it is a still a fast food burger joint. To me, these foods are more for if you are in a rush and cram down to keep stomach full. So salty! Why is there so much salt added to the burger patty itself? I tried twice in case I got a mistake and both times very salty. I might try asking for less salt if I ever go back. I tried their spicy chicken sandwich, it wasn't that spicy mostly tasted of that vinegar taste in hot sauce but very little heat. Just my personal preferences, if you don't like very salty burgers and you prefer a nice heat in your spicy chicken sandwiches without too much vinegar taste then hot up Wendy's instead. I was in the Burlington Mall area and decided to try out the Shake Shack located near the old Sears anchor store. It was around 2pm and there were a scant few people like me grabbing a late lunch. I ordered the Single Shack Burger, Fries and a Fifty/Fifty drink. I should state up front that I have never had a bad experience at other shake shack locations I have been to and for the most part, order the same thing every time and with positive results. After my name was called and I'm looking for a place to sit, of the dozen tables that were open, all were dirty. I ended up going to my car to get some disinfectant towelettes to clean one of the tables. I felt a little dirty eating inside the restaurant and really wished I had taken it to my car to eat as I would have ended up tossing it and going back inside the food court location to get a Chick-fil-A salad. I used to think of Shake Shack as a guilty pleasure after eating my meal but this time I just felt guilty. The burger was thrown together haphazardly. The fries were consistent and good and the Fifty/Fifty drink was good. Honestly, I think the issue is poor management and training of the staff as they all were polite and looking like they were doing their job - the execution was just off. Shake Shack is now open at the Burlington Mall! This very popular burgers and shakes chain is quickly expanding around the region. My friends love going to this place for filling lunches, especially to the Boston Seaport location after visiting the Aquarium and Children's Museum. I've been to Shake Shack a few times myself in Woburn and Saratoga Springs NY (track) for chocolate shakes and shack burgers. I stopped by the Burlington Mall Shake Shack and the place was moderately busy. The cashier was still learning the buttons on the screen and there are also digital kiosks to order and pay ahead with card. I ordered a Single Shack Burger ($5.99), Cheese Fries ($4.09) and a Cherry Pop Shake ($5.99).  My order took about 15 minutes to be ready as the kitchen/grill area was really buzzing no nonstop. However, my Shack Burger with lettuce, tomato and cheese was not hot and lukewarm, as were the cheese fries. The only great thing was the Cherry Pop Shake, which was thick and rich with frozen vanilla custard, topped  with whipped cream andcherry flavored popping candy.  I don't want to really bash them on their first day since the staff seems like they are still learning. It'll be a while when I will try this location again. read more

I went to a Shake Shack years ago, I think in Harvard Square. I thought it was OK. I happened to see one at the Burlington Mall today and thought I'd give it another shot. Again, meh! Ok. Why? Well, the burger wasn't bad, such as it was. I got a hot one which was pretty spicy. The fries had that "are they even cooked?" look to them. And the shake wasn't bad. But my recommendation is that if you're in the Burlington area and crave a chain burger joint, head one mile west and go to Five Guys in the plaza on Middlesex Turnpike. The burgers are bigger and better and there is no comparison to the fries which are cut from fresh potatoes. Haven't had a shake there. Shake Shack just strikes me as a place that wanted to have a burger chain, make some money, and which puts out burgers that are minimally good enough. Truthfully, if you're gonna go to a chain, you might just as well go to Wendy's or Burger King. There's nothing special about this place at all. Let's face it - if you want a good burger you're better off making it yourself or going to a pub and getting a big fat, juicy one. I have been to this shake shake in person and it's been decent. But ordered delivery through Uber Eats. The burger arrived overcooked, and was ice cold. I'm really disappointed with Shake Shack Uber Eats. The shake was on point. Burgers don't travel well. I think the burger had been sitting there for a while. It is located in the ground floor of Burlington mall and can be accessed from parking lot. It is kind of a self-service place. The customers need to order the food from a screen and wait for your name to be called. We ordered double shack burger and single smoke burger. Both are fantastic, juicy inside and crispy outside. The best chain hamburger we've had so far. However, We wish they had outdoor seating for people not comfortable to dine in yet. read more

Heard a lot of stuff about Shake Shack, had to try it. First off- expensive, $40 for two burgers, fries and soda. Had to wait quite a while for the food, not busy at all- the employees were all "hanging out and talking" but I figured maybe it was a progressive workplace or whatever so I waited for the food. The fries and burgers were cold. The booth had a dirty table, floor was dirty. I went up and let the "employees" know that the fries were cold- as if they didn't know the fries were sitting around at least 7 minutes (which is the time it takes for fries to get cold.) Why send out cold fries? Why make me wait so long for the fries if they are done and the burger is not ready? The "employees" looked at me like I had three heads and eventually one rolled their eyes and called out for hot fries for me but I told them not to bother since I never get food re-made after a "restaurant" messes up. Looks like the investors in this place are getting ripped off since the "employees" seem to be having a party all day instead of working hard for their company. I just let the situation go and not worry about the $40 I threw away on a poorly prepared meal and remember never to go back and tell everyone I know not to go there because the food is cold like McDonalds and the employees could not care less. The service is horrible. I watched as orders sat in the tray, ready for customers , waiting. A burger sat there, getting cold for over 6 minutes as I waited all that time for a hot dog. It too was ready and sat. The girl packing the orders moved at a snails pace, clearly not giving a darn about the customers. I ordered the white truffle mushroom burger and the cheese burger with cheese fries. The food looked like it had been sitting for a while, prepared for some one else, like left overs. One hour after we ate the food, my wife immediately started vomiting and two hours after I started having diarrhea. This is wicked evil for a franchise to run like this. I advise to avoid online orders. They will feed you left overs and the food will not be fresh at all. This location should be subjected to an inspection. Very low class place. Dirty tables and lazy, dirty staff . I saw one woman taking food off the tray before bagging it. She was scratching her head while doing it., then using the same hand to pick up the food. Her co-worker would wipe sweat off her forehead, then pick up the food and bag it. This relatively new location is not getting any better. On our most recent visit we ordered a shack burger on a gluten free bun for take-out. It came without shack sauce or a bun, and both the burger and fries were cold. It was a $7 very cold chunk of beef with one pickle and a few onion slices. The strangest part is that there were only 5 tables occupied and yet they were late in fulfilling the order. It's too bad this has been a recurring pattern of long waits, cold food, and wrong items. My food was delivered to my table quickly and when I asked the server for a side of shack sauce he was happy to help and said if there was anything else I needed to let him know. This was our first time eating at a Shake Shack. I appreciate the convenience of ordering on screens when you arrive. We ordered to go, so we put in our phone number and received a message saying the system would send a text when our order was ready. Unfortunately, we never received the message so we were just wandering around the mall for a while until we finally went back to check, and our order was just sitting on the counter for who knows how long. The burgers were good. The toppings were fresh and it was all pretty tasty. A little expensive, but it seems like that is to be expected from chain burger restaurants these days. The burgers are similar in price and taste to Five Guys, but less greasy. (They also have a more extensive menu than Five Guys.) Overall, we had a good experience. If we had actually received the text that our order was ready and if the prices were a little lower, I would have given it a 5/5. read more
