I am soooooooooooooooooo late at getting to this review but I am so happy this place opened it in DE!!! Hands down best burgers, softest buns, great fast service. My bf and I only get to go out on weekends and we always get here with a line out the door but it moves fast! You get a little buzzer that tells you when your order is ready. I have had the regular shackburger and just the taste of the beef taste better than other places. I have discovered the ShakStack and I am not going back! It is amazing. I recommend everyone get it. It's the shackburger but with shroomburger patty in it as well! That cheesy breaded mushroom alone is lifeee!!!! I'm always happy when I eat but this was bliss. Seriously everyone must get it, and hey if you don't like it just take the shroom patty out and eat the burger. My bf ordered the smoke shack and I took a HUGE bit of his. Really good as well. Only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that they serve just regular ole crinkle cut fries. They serve beer and wine here, which I didn't know but I am more serious about these shakes/floats! Went to this Shake Shack recently and ordered the Chick'n Sandwich and Fries. I also ordered the limited edition cookie shake. Everything was excellent and you could tell the Chicken was high quality. Shack Shack uses hormone-free, antibiotic-free chicken and everything is made fresh to order, never frozen. A little disappointed with my second go around. My first time at shake shack was at the NY location. We didn't realize you have to ask for condiments (lettuce, tomato, onion). Otherwise we got two pretty plain looking burgers. The fries could have used a little more cheese sauce and for what we paid for we felt like we weren't completely satisfied. We actually regretted not visiting one of the restaurants next door. Still, this place is really cute. I think the servings are just so small for the prices that it simply is not good value for money. My burger was cold and not that great. I was so hungry I had to get a shroom burger but it was also very sparse and small. The fries looked good but I was trying to avoid fried food . I always leave feeling ripped off. read more

My wife and I were there around 7:30pm tonight to grab her a take out order. Came in, placed an order and waited......and waited some more (approximately 25 minutes). We watched as everyone that came in behind us were served their food. As we watched, they had numerous orders wrong, as people had to come back to state everything that was wrong. Manager seemed pretty incompetent back there. Finally, we asked what is going on, and the manager just said that they had a "glitch " in the system (no remorse at all). Then we waited some more until finally the food came out. I would definitely recommend driving a few more miles to Five Guys if you are looking for good food and prompt service. Ok Delawareans!!! Given to their reputation, this is a good burger chain. No need to travel to Philly, B-More, or better yet NYC to get your hands on these patties! Shake Shack is here to stay. Located right in the new Christiana Fashion Center. Which was not too congested and plenty of parking. I went on grand opening day and the line wasn't as bad as I had expected to be. A bit of a wait, but not too dreadful as my belly were slap boxing. Burgers were very fresh and fries had the right amount of crisp. Two thumbs up for quality. I know everyone comes here for the beef burgers, but you have got to try the mushroom burger- large, deep fried portobello stuffed with cheese. It is delicious! Don't care much for their fries, they have the texture of the crinkle cut fries you get from the frozen section of the grocery store. Great location next to the mall. Yes! Finally! Shack Shake is in Delaware. This restaurant is located at the new Fashion Center at the Christina Mall. At first, I shuttered at the mere thought of traveling to this location to eat the burger I enjoy. This area can be very congested. As I rode to the grand opening, I realized that traffic is not going to be as bad as I thought. The outside architecture is nice and makes an impression as I ride by. Actually, the building looks huge compared to some Shake Shacks I've been to. Once inside, the place was packed. The line was not out the door, but it was to the door. I have to give the staff credit; they kept the line moving, which I found very impressive for a grand opening. I already knew what I was going to order, my usual, a smoke shack double with fries. I was worried that new store would have opening day hiccups, but to my surprise, no issues. My burger was moist and the cheese was melted to a gooey perfection. I was in a rush so I did not dine-in. The first time that I had Shake Shack was in NYC, and it was REALLY good...so as you can imagine, when this location was officially open, I was excited to have a new burger joint near by. The first time that I ate here, the food was good and my expectations for future visits was high. However, this is where the 1 star review comes into play. The next time I had their food, I got sick, as in mild food poisoning....the rest of that night I felt like crap. But then after a few weeks passed by, I thought that I would give them another try....TERRIBLE IDEA! I got mild food poisoning again! I tried to narrow it down to one of the food items that I had, but wasn't able to do so, because I'm now too scared to eat their food again in order to figure out what made me sick....all I know is that it wasn't the milkshake that made me sick (from the first time I got sick), because the second time I didn't order one and I still got sick. Now it's been many months after I last ate here, and my parents are always asking me if I want to eat here, but my answer will forever be, "HECK NO!" Sure the food tastes good, but I like not having food poisoning after eating a meal. I'm a guy that likes to try all of the regional classic burger spots. I have heard a lot about Shake Shack and their "gourmet" burger. As soon as I got the chance to go to the right coast I was going to give it a go. So what you get. A small pretty tasty burger, at a big price. I did enjoy it, it was almost like a junior burger at Wendy's though. It is wrapped up in a nice presentation, the building is cool and chic, and hey, they even serve wine. I guess that's why they think a fast food burger is gourmet. All in all I would say it's on the low end of the big names like In N Out, whataburger, Culver's and so on. I love Shake Shack, so it's hard for me to give it anything less than 5 stars. I have now been to 3 locations, one in NYC, King of Prussia and now Christiana. I love the 'Shroom Burger. Let me restate this. I. LOVE. THE. SHROOM. BURGER. I don't eat meat and I haven't really found a burger substitute that made me feel like I was eating something substantial and not made out of bird seed. The Shroom Burger is meat free but it's as indulgent, delicious and it gives me the burger feels. (Although today, I had to be THAT person go substitutes the bun for lettuce. ) I also love the milkshakes. I loooooovvve a good shake. I'll take a shake over a sundae, cone, etc. I've gotten the peanut butter and the black and white and they hit the spot I didn't know I needed to get hit. There is also something mental for me that burgers and shakes go together. This location is very clean and there is a foosball table, while unnecessary, gives it a fun vibe. (Side note, I don't care for foosball but I respect people who are into it and can actually hit the ball) Yes, it is expensive and I understand people remove stars for that. They only had one register open and a line out the door. I requested a paper receipt but they could not provide one. When I was handed my order they did not fill my drink cup all the way. I then asked if I could return my drink to get a new one that was filled all the way, they refused saying that I would have to pay for a new one. Lack of customer service. Very rude. read more

So this is the legendary burger joint I've been hearing about.... Great looking place, and the business was packed with people.. That's a sign of something enjoyable inside.. Plenty of burger options.. They even had a black bean burger, which I passed on... Not that I don't like them. I just wanted to see what the hype was about with their beef burger.. Several choices of fries and hot dogs available.. My daughter chose the hot dog.. The service was pretty quick, and the meals were prepared within 10 minutes.. Worst management I have seen. There is only one person above the age of 20 in there. Their strategy to not get back logged is to tell people they are closed and the stop the drive thru. And get this the place is not even half full. Waited 50 min for a burger. Never came. People got stuck in the drive thru lane because it took them an hour to get food. This is a joke of a place. Due to COVID they have a process where you can order online and receive a text and wait in line to pick up your order. That didn't happen for me and i had only ordered a shake. I didn't receive a text after 15 minutes when they said it would take 7 minutes so I had to go up and wait in line (in the cold). While waiting in line the process was HORRIBLE because there was no process, it didn't matter where in line you were they just randomly yelled out names and wouldn't be clear when speaking. Then the runner would catch an attitude with all the customers when we would ask what he said or just simple ignore us. After standing there for 30 minutes, i had seen my shake sitting on the online order pick up shelf, when i had mentioned to the runner he just went in and continued to give other people their orders. After a couple times of him coming in and out i had mentioned to him AGAIN that my shake was sitting right there and i had told him my name and he said there is no shake.... i LITERALLY was looking at it and so he went in annoyed and finally looked at the shelf and when he handed it to me he said nothing and just turned away back inside saying nothing. I have frequent this location on many occasions with my family. On this particular day I utilized the Shake Shack app order. Easy, and effective to use. With all of the COVID stuff going around the line was too long outside, which was not moving at all. Our food was ordered and ready at stated time. Although this restaurant is a little pricey for fast food, the food is very tasty. The chicken sandwich is so much better than Chick you know who. The shakes are pure bliss.
