Never thought to check in out post anything but I've seen do many negative reviews I wanted to just share a bit of experiences here a short as they are. When Traveling for work during my Layover between flights, I'm Not looking to eat heavy between flights. I like coming here when I'm at the C terminal because the food is Tasty and the wait wasn't that long. The workers in the early mornings though could use a pick me up lol poor workers are either appear tired or just not happy to be working so early lol. They were polite just not smiling lol. Regardless I still like eating here. But a little more encouragement for the early morning crew! Smile! I know hungry travelers appreciate you guys are open early in the mornings! read more

I'm not sure why people are rating this place so poorly, maybe I just got lucky. The fries here were super crispy and hot, and I found myself just focusing on eating them because they were so good. Best fast food fries I've had in a long time. The cheeseburger was good. It was tasty and the bun was soft. My only complaint would be that the burgers are too small. Which isn't something I typically say about burgers. A friend and I were discussing Shake Shack and we both said the 2 same things: excellent fries and their burgers are too small! Anyway. It's a good food option in the airport, I recommend it. The service was pretty fast which is always good when you're catching a plane somewhere. read more

Not sure why people don't like this place. I have always had a pleasant experience. Not as quick as regular fast food burger joints but then their food is Bette er than regular fast food burger joints I usually get the cheeseburger and fries and it hits the spot. read more

Great find at DFW. I am a big fan of the original, and they food here is of similar quality, but not having Madison Square Park to enjoy it in makes it just a good burger. They also let my cheese get cold. It however superior to most airport food and is a good stop if you are missing Manhattan. read more

I actually hesitated because of the poor reviews, but ended up being pleasantly surprised! Service was fairly fast, and definitely friendly. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my food, not bad for a busy travel day. My fries were hot and crisp, just the way I like, and my burger was better than expected... so for me, a big win! read more

I was very disappointed with this Shake Shack. 1. They don't have Gluten Free buns which is an option at every other Shake Shack I have been to and the reason I decided to go here at the airport. 2. We ended up ordering just fries which took at least 15 minutes to get after the order was placed. The order behind the counter seemed confused and no one was in any rush to figure out a way to make it better. 3. Right in front of the register there was a big bag of cheese sitting on the counter which was very unappetizing. 4. No apology was given for the long wait and or the Dow organization. I would like to note there was a full rack of fires that sat not touched while I was waiting. It would have been as easy to turn around put the fries in a bag and hand it across the counter. The only shake shack that doesn't serve gluten free buns, and the personnel are less than helpful. When I asked if they had gluten free buns, the gentleman made me repeat myself THREE times while looking at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Only to say no. You can tell the employees don't get paid anything by the way they behave in FRONT of customers. Yelling at each other , talking about other workers and we stood at the register waiting for any of the 7 employees to help us but apparently only the girl that from what they said "she on the toilet again?" could ring us up. It was truly embarrassing and they simply need a refresher lesson on customer service...and continue to do it every month, because honestly I just think they don't know it's that bad. We all know that the popular food places have the longest lines at an airport. No difference here. Still worth the wait, as long as you plan to spend 15 minutes or more in line and another 20-25 minutes waiting for your food. Food takes time to prepare, folks. LOVE Shake Shack! I wish we had one in Louisville. Definitely eat the fries and order a shake to dip them into if you are up for an extra delicious and filling meal. So yes - it is awesome that Shake Shack is at the airport. What is not awesome are the long lines and the poor attention to detail. Downside -Expect to wait 20+ minutes regardless of what you order -Lots of people in front of me came back to the counter and complained that their order was wrong. I think the most frustrating thing was that a lot of us asked for our food "to-go" but none of it was bagged up Upside -The quality of the food is the same as if you were to buy it from a standalone Shake Shack. Everyone of these stars was earned by Eve or Eva (I hope I remembered that correctly), what seemed to be the shift manager. As always, restricted on time I thought I had hit the lotto with only one person in front of me on a Saturday evening flight. Wanting to keep it simple I ordered a smokeshack and a fifty/fifty. The drink was great. As far as beverage options go you can't go wrong with their take on an Arnold Palmer. The burger was good and a nice difference from typical options in the airport. If this were a debate on which higher end fast food burger is the best I would have to go with 5 guys. Where this location lost all its points is the same place many others have noted - their lack of attention to detail. I patiently waited for 20 minutes while order after order came out. Finally, I decided I needed to leave and asked for a refund. Magically, my order jumped to the front of the line. This location only (terminal C DFW Airport) I have always liked Shake Shack for their fresh tasting and well executed food. The location at the airport is no better than a below average fast food joint. Our order had three errors and the tables look like they're never cleaned. The fries are precooked and sitting under a lamp. I'm talking 25 orders or more sitting up there waiting to be ordered. By the time you get yours they are dried out and tasteless. I have wanted to try the Shake Shack for over a year now, but have never had the chance. There are quite a bit of negative reviews for this location, but I have a feeling that is because people often forget to write reviews for restaurants in airports unless they have a complaint. I ordered the 'Shroom Burger, and it came out extremely quickly. The burger was cheesy and full of portobello mushroom just like you would want. The only complaints I have is that the sauce was pretty much only on one side of the burger, and they could have been a little more generous with the veggies. Other than that, I would definitely recommend heading over here if you have a minute or two to spare while passing through DFW! read more

It was right during lunch hour so it was pretty busy. I ordered my cheeseburger & fries and waited about 20 minutes for my food. I then spoke to a "manager" that didn't believe me when I said she was on the phone and missed my order and tried to make me pay for whatever was missing. I have been to Shake Shacks all over, including Tokyo and London and this is the worst Shake Shack I have ever been to. I went for breakfast and the only hot thing on the sandwich was the egg. The bacon and cheese were cold, congealed and made the sandwich unenjoyable. The condiments were not filled and the service was slow and unfriendly. Walking up to order the crew behind the cashier was so loud talking about their personal lives that i could've written a soap opera on their lives. Then my ordered is butchered. With a short layover in DFW we decided to try the hyped burger joint for the first time. Wow the Fries!!! I had the Smokey double. I have to admit it was great. The only drawback was the airport service. I should have expected it though. A few weeks before I had visited the TGI Friday's just down the terminal and had great service but just ok food. So my DFW service experience was abnormally high. My wife wanted Mayo. The tray was out so I stood at the counter ignored for quite a good bit. I finally just interrupted and got a dismissive look.
