Growing up in New York, Sunday was often the day the family would go out for Chinese food. So when…read moreI saw Chef Michael's video the other day announcing he was going to start offering Egg Rolls on Sundays, I immediately remembered wanting to try the BBQ Chinese Spareribs already on his regular menu. I started thinking... if the Chinese food at Flybird is anywhere near as impressive as everything else they do, this could be a revelation... especially considering the dearth of really good Chinese food in South Florida. So I waited for Sunday with anticipation. Yes... they had Egg Rolls! And I also noticed they recently added Egg Drop Soup to the regular menu. Perfect... now I could assemble a complete meal. In addition to the Egg Rolls, I ordered the Egg Drop Soup, BBQ Chinese Ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. Wow! Winner Winner Chinese Dinner!! Everything was excellent. The Egg Drop Soup is rich and heartier than the versions you typically see... absolutely delicious. The Egg Roll is hand-rolled and feels like a gourmet interpretation... exactly what you'd expect if a serious chef decided to elevate a classic, served with housemade Duck Sauce and Chinese Mustard. The BBQ Ribs were also fantastic... fall-off-the-bone tender, meaty, and loaded with flavor. And then there's the Chicken Fried Rice... unlike any version you've probably had before. It's packed with generous chunks of chicken and real vegetables throughout. Broccoli in fried rice? When have you ever seen that? A huge portion too... loved it. Everything here always seems to be done with thought and care. We're lucky to have a serious chef like Michael bringing his culinary talent and creativity to Delray Beach. He keeps finding ways to surprise people... and that's a big part of what makes Flybird so much fun. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The char grilled chicken is moist and delicious with crispy skin, and accompanied by a whole head of roasted garlic, a grilled lemon, fresh beaked bread, and a parsley dipping sauce. We also got a side of mashed potatoes with gravy. Not gonna lie, this place is pricey, $15+ for a quarter chicken is real restaurant prices, but the quality makes the cost worth it...

It is a really small,…read moresimple hole-in-the-wall spot that doesn't look like much from the inside, but the food and prices make it totally worth it. The tacos are really affordable and a decent size, so you get great value for a quick lunch. The best part is definitely their iced red tea (Agua de Jamaica)--it is so sweet, refreshing, and delicioso. If you want a quick, budget-friendly, and no-frills meal in Delray Beach, it's a great spot to hit up.

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

Despite the lack of a/c and rough conditions they were in, the staff were super friendly behind the counter. My husband and I orders some delicious subs on fresh sesame seed bread. They're super generous filling up their subs and the ingredients are fresh and top notch. As a pescatarian, my options are more limited, but my caprese sandwich was fabulous. We also ordered a cannoli which they hand fill. It was the best cannoli I have had in South Florida and tasted like the ones I used to enjoy from the North End in Boston. Finally a great cannoli! Due to the power issue, it was a little dark inside. However, this is a true, lived in authentic Italian deli. Again, if you're from up North, you will feel like you are at home here. V&S is the real deal, and very much worthy of all the rave reviews people have shared with me.

It transports you to an Italian NY deli. The place is packed, bustling spot and that alone tells you everything you need to know. You know it's good when you walk in and the place is packed. We split the Chicken Cutlet Florentine and it was absolutely incredible. Heads up: the full size is massive, so splitting it is definitely the move and still totally worth it!! The service was super friendly despite how busy it was. I had my eye on the black & white cookie too because what's an authentic Italian deli without one? Sounds like my next visit to Boca includes trying more stuff!

This place stands alone in the front corner of the small shopping center. There is other food competition there as well. Upon entering, we were greeted by smiling faces and we were served by Alexa. She explained our options as we asked a few questions. There is also an ordering kiosk for manual ordering. A group of 3 women came in after us and were served before us. There wasn't a long wait for the food anyway. I had a mushroom Swiss burger combo with tomato, onion & pickle, and my wife had the "Hamburdog" combo. It's a burger with hotdogs on it. Both burgers came served on a potato bun. Everything was fresh. The burger part was a little small compared to the bun size, but the meat had great flavor. The combo came with "hand cut style" fries (they still had some skin on them intentionally) and a drink. The soda was self-serve. My wife loved the "Hamburdog." The metal seats were a little hard on the bottom, but the place seemed clean. There is a large screen TV hanging in the eating area. There was an outdoor seating area also. The men's room seemed in pretty good shape. We ordered cookies (3) to go and I had to go up and ask for them because it seemed like they forgot about us (they did). It costed around $32 for the 2 combo's plus the $2.79 for the 3 cookies. Not bad for a good tasting burger combo meal. What made it good was that everything was delicious and fresh. My wife already wants to go to the Wellington store (closer to us) to get another "Hamburdog." We saw someone else ordering chicken tenders and they seemed to be a good size too. I'd recommend this place and we will definitely return.

I really want MOOYAH Burger in Boca Raton to succeed. Unfortunately, I'm beginning to suspect that…read moreI may want that more than whoever is actually managing the place--which, based on my observations, may be nobody. The staff is friendly enough and the atmosphere is perfectly acceptable. The problem is that service moves at approximately the speed of continental drift, and getting the order you actually placed seems to be treated more as an aspiration than a requirement. And it's not just me. Watching customers open their bags has started to feel like a game show: "Let's see what you won!" Then there are the cost-cutting clues. The nice fountain-drink cups they originally used have apparently been replaced by Styrofoam cups that look like they came with a church picnic starter kit. The shakes, meanwhile, have undergone an extraordinary transformation. What used to be a respectable milkshake is now roughly the size of a laboratory sample. At this rate, another round of cost cutting and they'll be serving them in communion cups. But the biggest mystery is management. Someone invested serious money building and opening this restaurant, yet it appears to be operated almost entirely by very young employees without an experienced manager visibly running the floor. That's not a criticism of the kids. They're doing what teenagers do. The question is: where is the adult whose investment is riding on whether the burgers come out correctly? Restaurants--especially burger restaurants--are opening and closing at an incredible pace these days. You would think that after spending all that money on construction, equipment, franchise fees, signage, and inventory, somebody might consider spending a few dollars on an experienced on-site manager. MOOYAH actually has a good product, which is what makes this frustrating. This location doesn't need a new concept, a new menu, or a corporate task force. It needs one competent adult with a clipboard and a sense of urgency. Otherwise, I give it six months. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'd like to come back next year. Although if the shakes keep shrinking at their current rate, I may need to bring a magnifying glass. One star for the staff, one star for the burgers
