Went to lunch with my son. Couldn't have been better. The hot dogs are quarter pounders, and the buns are specially made just for them. The sides are made in house. We had the sweet BBQ dog with coleslaw, chopped apple and topped with killer sauce. We also had the chili mac attack dog with beer battered onion rings. Yes the prices are a little, high, but seriously, who wouldn't pay an extra dollar or two for all that you get with your order?. The onion rings are delicious. I've been wanting to come to Killer Dogs for well over two years and I finally did....but I didnt walk away insanely happy. Had nothing to do with the food, and everything to do with the service. Its an order at the counter and sit down type of place. Has an industrial feel. Was welcomed in nicely and ordered one Chicago dog, an Italian with vegan sausage, fries with cheese, onion rings, and two drinks. (Also got a vegan whoopie pie after being upsold, would've never purchased it had I seen the price beforehand). Total came to a little over $52. Sat down and only waited maybe 10 minutes before our food arrived. Everything looked great, but noticed we were missing the onion rings and diced onions were added to the fries instead. I walked up to the counter to ask about the onion rings, and the cook, who I'm also assuming is the owner, said onion rings weren't written down. I figured it was just simple miscommunication and had no issue at all, it happens. He offered to make some, but honestly after already realizing the $52 didnt even include the onion rings, I was totally fine leaving them out. No muss, no fuss. I went back to my table to eat and this is when I had the problem. Instead of leaving it alone, like I had done, the woman who took my order came up to my table and said "I heard you asked about onion rings...you didn't order onion rings. You asked for cheese fries with onions." How are you going to come up to me and tell me what I know I ordered? I said onion RINGS. If you didn't hear me and misinterpreted what I said, that's totally fine! Ive been in the service industry, it happens! But to not even apologize and try to tell me what I ordered? That was incredibly rude. As far as the food is concerned it was good. Nothing to write home about. The Chicago dog definitely didn't come on a poppy seed bun like represented online, and had entirely too much celery salt. The dog itself was incredible. The Italian was pretty dry, but had very good flavor. Also, a vegan dog is $2 extra. The cheese fries were just that. Natural cut fries (that were salted very well) with cheese melted on top. Pretty soggy for having them there, fresh. The whoopie pie, even though vegan, had really good flavor. You wouldn't even be able to tell that it didn't use dairy. All in all, I don't think I'd come back, service aside. Entirely too expensive for what you get, and how it tastes. EDIT: Going to respond to the owners response here. In my review, I clearly stated that they were offered to be made. I declined them because of the high price I already paid for my food, thinking it included the onion rings. And that's not where the problem was. As I stated, the problem was with the accusatory attitude you had when you came to the table as if I was the one who made the mistake. Had you come to the table with the attitude that you have in this Public Yelp reply, which is significantly nicer than the one you came with in the establishment, this wouldn't even be an issue. read more

Delicious hotdogs! Came in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and it was not busy but steady. They do offer a lot of different delicious options and topping and some vegan options as well. We tried the sweet bbq dog and the New York both packed with lots of flavor. The employee also recommended for us to try the hangover fried and they were amazingly flavorful. Remember the Lobster Roll in Amagansett? The one on Montauk Highway, out east? Well, growing up on the Island this was the "place" to have the best Lobster Roll ever. Lots of restaurants in Florida serve them but Glen at Killer Dogs is making them right! I met Glen and he is a true New Yorker so he "gets" what a good Lobster Roll is & he's killing it! I went with the New York Dog, both times! The all beef hot dog was topped with sauerkraut and deli mustard. So good! My friend also had the New York but with mustard and those onions in a reddish sauce. He loved it and ate it pretty quickly too. All beef hot dogs on locally fresh baked buns; you seriously need to get one. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good they are! So, back to the Lobster Roll; best one I have had in South Florida! They are made fresh using an entire lobster! You can get it served warm with melted butter or cold which is like a lobster salad on steroids! Market price and worth every cent, and remember you get what you pay for, so if you love lobster you will love these. I know I did! What I really appreciated was that my lobster salad wasn't swimming in mayo, in fact I hardly tasted any! What I did taste was sweet fresh yummy lobster and a bit of celery and that's it. It was just as good, if not better than The Lobster Roll out on the east end of Long Island. The hand cut fries are addictive and the onion rings are huge! I'm fussy about onion rings because even though I love them, sometimes they are greasy. Not these because there was no grease at all. I never had a whoopie pie and I wasn't sure exactly what it was. I decided to call and ask. Glen answered the phone and told me if I am from NY, I should know, lol. He compared it to a Devil Dog but he was so wrong! This was 1000 times better than any Devil Dog I have ever had. I mean, it was huge and shareable, but I didn't share. It was a bit messy so I ate mine at home with a fork. The cake was moist and chocolatey and the cream filling was dynamic! It was the best foodgasm I have had in so long. The parking lot is organized to take care of their curbside pickups. I only waited about a minute or two for a waitress to come to my car to take my order. Pay attention: please tip in cash! They are working hard during this crazy time and cash tips are greatly appreciated. I have heard the wings are excellent and I will definitely try them. I also will be trying the fried clams but for now, I am all about the Lobster Roll. You have to plan ahead like I did. They close at 5pm, so I had my hot dog for lunch and then I refrigerated the Lobster Roll for my dinner. I had the best of both worlds all in the same day! I didn't take a picture of my whoopie pie because I was overly excited to eat it all. I promise to post a picture next time. They are freaking fabulous, just like everything else here. Ok this was our first time here, the owner is hysterical great sense of humor. This guy tells you like it is, his food is fresh made to order. I had the fish and chips, taste was delicious but, the over cooked and a bit greasy, my husband got the Maine lobster roll it was delicious but could of used a bit more seasoning. We will go back and try other items, I am from Boston and my fish and chips batter should be a bit lighter and not greasy, it is my personal preference. We ordered "Maine" lobster rolls only to find out that they mix the lobster with langostino tails to make it look like lobster meat and then charge almost $40 for fake lobster. What a rip off. We also ordered fried clams and they don't even give you the belly of the clam, just the strips. Also, the service is terrible!! The person at the register (who I assume is the owner) is extremely rude and dismissive. Would not recommend this place at all. We are from New England which is why I know that this was not Maine Lobster. I have eaten chopped lobster and it does not look or taste like that. I was a happily overwhelmed by the variety of vegan hot dogs and vegan sausages on the menu! Not only can you get a vegan hot dog or a vegan sausage, but you can get each one at least four different ways. They also have slaw that can be made vegan too. The customer service by our waitress, Ashley, was very welcoming, helpful, understanding, and friendly. The owner, Glen, came over to talk to us...just to get to know us, and to tell us a little about himself--"the killer dog". The hand-cut french fries are like none I've ever had before! Not only did they seem like they were baked (because they weren't greasy), but I also noticed with every bite the fry's temperature was like it just came out of the fryer. The last fry eaten was just as hot as the first fry. I asked for a side of their delicious homemade hot sauce they use on some of their dogs so I could use it as a dipping sauce for my fries. I learned they have this hot sauce available individually for sale too. You'll also be happy to know that this place has a bottle of Heinz ketchup on every table! The only downfall I found with this place is that they don't have any glassware for your beverages. You just drink it out of the bottle/can it's packaged in. Finally got here the other day and had to try the lobstah roll. At $27 it's probably the priciest one I've had, but I had to try... Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. There was a good amount of meat but it was dry and flavorless. The butter helped a little, but not enough. Cousins lobster rolls are far superior and less expensive (but smaller to be fair) They up charge 4% for credit cards which I find tacky- especially when your food is really not cheap to begin with. Also, they force you to have waitress service which really isn't necessary considering how small the place is. With a bottle of iced tea and tip, my lunch was almost $40.
