It is Cinco de Mayo and I am craving a birra taco. They are on our way home from Costco right off Congress in the Lake Ida Plaza, in a House of Appliance strip mall. There was a large free parking lot right in front. This was an easy stop and Yelp friends are raving about them. I smelled the tacos as soon as I got out of my car. Taco Tuesday was cute in black and orange with lots of clean tables, high tops, and outside tables. We went straight over to the tablets, scrolled and placed our order, tapping a credit card to finish. We weren't really sure if there were specials or meals were the best way to order. It is Cinco de Mayo and Tuesday here and we didn't see anything special. We grabbed a table near the walk of fame and sat down to watch the music video while we waited for our food. There was no hand soap in the ladies room, so I used the soap in the men's room. I mentioned it on the way in and when I washed up to leave, there was still no soap. We each had 2 birra tacos, shared a drink and rice and beans for $15 pp including tax and tip. Our food came out quickly with a bottle of green and a spicy red salsa. Our lunch was okay the tacos were a little messy crumbling as I was trying to eat them. They weren't full of fresh flavors, they just tasted washed out and watery.

Absolutely amazing! This is definitely a hidden gem in Delray Beach! The food is fresh, hot and made on site! The shrimp tacos are the very best! The donuts are to die for! Loved the homemade sauce and found out they even sell it! I love that they had Uno and other card games on the tables for people to play while they are waiting for their food. Definitely brings people together. The service was great and there was a great vibe. The restaurant was clean and there were TVs showing sports. They have a variety of alcoholic drinks and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back to try more items!

This is one of my happy places. Owners are great and live the Mexican cantina vibe. Street tacos are very unique. Love the chicken Tonga on a warm soft tortilla with onions and cilantro. Mexican corn off the Cobb is very fresh. They have specials all through the week.

This fast food Mexican is in the strip mall on Congress and Lake Ida in Delray. There is ample parking here. My wife and I both had 2 birra tacos. They were not the most tasty. The service was good. They were ready in less than 10 minutes although they were nothing special. More on the bland side. What was concerning is that my wife mentioned that there was no soap in the ladies room even after she mentioned it.

I tried a birria quesadilla and was surprised at how small it was. Sorta disappointed that it wasn't served with any sauce or salsa. It was pretty basic and lacked flavor, although the meat was cooked perfectly. I wouldn't order this item again. I will try them again since the reviews are good and they are near my office.

This is a fairly new taco joint with some tables inside and out and a take out counter. The gentleman who took my order came out from behind to explain the menu above the counter. (He also came out to bring me my take out order.) The menu was tacos - supreme and street tacos. All different varieties. They also had some quesadillas . I ordered a supreme BBQ shredded pork with sliced avocados, picked onions and cilantro. It was a great choice as far as taste but very small tortilla filled with meat. Enough for me for a quick bite. Most people would need 2 or 3 at $4.99 each. They did have 3 street tacos for $11.99 with choice of meat. Fillings were onion and cilantro only. I will try this next time because I will return. Conveniently located in a strip center with plenty of parking.

We went for lunch on a Sunday. You can order your own food at the digital kiosk. We ordered a chicken, steak, shrimp, and Beria tacos. And a side of guacamole. The Barilla tacos were absolutely delicious and some of the best in the area. The other tacos were good as well, the steak had a few pieces that were a little bit. Chewy but still really good. Staff was very friendly and attentive, they even brought over some of their homemade salsa for us to try. My favorite was the green one gave a tiny touch of spiciness without burning, and the vegan creama was yummy! The ambiance was relaxed and casual perfect for a quick lunch or dinner .

The food here is amazing! Everything is fresh, very flavorful and made from scratch. It's a hidden gem in the corner of a plaza but it's a MUST try! Staff is attentive, owner works the counter and they are very accommodating! I forgot to take a pix of my street tacos before digging in. And the rice and beans had great flavor!

This isn't even on the menu so I have no idea why it was given to me when I simply ordered 2 tacos??

*Update (barely)* Shortly after I posted this review, someone reached out and said "your lunch special is on the way" to which I responded saying that I was appreciative and would be happy to amend my review if I received my order and was able to enjoy it. About an hour later the same person messaged and asked if I would want to pick up the food. Obviously, I would not want to drive to the restaurant to pick up the food that I already paid to have delivered to me. At this point (considering I had thought the food was on its way this whole time) I needed to just go ahead and eat something else. I especially could not wait any longer because I'm pregnant and cannot wait hours to have lunch, I need to eat when I'm hungry or I will not feel well. Needless to say, never got the food. It's especially disappointing to be told the restaurant cares about their mistake and they're willing to fix it and then the lack of action shows the opposite is true. I hope this establishment does better for their other customers.

So good! Here's a look at our Chips & Salsa, beans & rice & Pinto Beans and Jarritos!

We were sat at a table near the bar which was great as it was inside and had a nice breeze with the fans and AC. Damien was our server and was wonderful at explaining the menu and the concept of their scratch kitchen. For our drinks we tried the classic and guava-habanero margaritas. We ended up liking the classic more just because the fresh ingredients were reminiscent of those we had in Mexico. It was a little too warm out to be doubling down on spice in our drinks too. We ordered a brisket quesadilla and for our tacos: carnitas, chorizo, and crispy fish. For our second round (not pictured), my husband tried the spicy chicken. He was warned the spicy chicken is exceptionally spicy but he didn't think that warning was warranted so maybe don't be afraid to try it if you're not big on spice. We had tap water that they left a large bottle on the table for. Even though we didn't drink too much of it, they still replaced it with a fresh bottle after a while since it probably got warm. One staff member even came to wipe up the water that had sweat off our drinks. Overall, El Camino exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was kind and courteous and the food was off the chart. And those happy hour prices are hard to beat! We definitely will be back!

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

We tried the Patron Margarita and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The drink was watery and lacked the vibrant, tangy punch that a margarita should have. The lime flavor was almost non-existent. The tequila was barely detectable, and the balance between the ingredients was completely off. To top it off, there were so much ice leaving the drink diluted and weak. For the price, I expected something much more refreshing and well-crafted. This margarita missed the mark completely. After addressing the issue with our server twice, he finally talked to the bartender. The bartender came to our table and offered to give a shot of tequila to add to the watered down margarita, but still, it didn't quite hit the mark. I really appreciated the bartender's effort to accommodate and make things right. It's clear they care about customer satisfaction. Despite the drink not being up to par, the service was friendly and attentive. I'll give it another shot in the future, but hopefully, the margarita recipe gets a little more consistency.
