This location is super busy, even when I have to mobile order. Seatings can be tricky but you'll find a seat eventually if you aren't getting food during lunch time. The food is good, had little burnt parts on my patty but it was okay, I like eating crunchy and crispy stuff. It's a quick meal but it doesn't fill you Up with the pricing. I ordered food via their app, arrived at my scheduled pickup time, and a few minutes later I was out the door with my correct order. This review is specifically for the customer service . We dined for lunch around 1pm today, and at 1:47pm, I put in an order for two shakes to go. Pickup time was 1:56-2:01 Around 1:53, we went to wait at the pickup area. After 5 min, we moved up closer, then started trying to ask for a status of our shakes. I asked twice to the woman at the front, who ignored me the first two times. Two other people were inquiring as to their take out orders. She said either "not ready" or ignored. I again asked about 2 shakes - at this time - about 2:15, and she said it's coming. During this time, she realized that the orders for the other two people had been in the heater section. She tossed it towards the man waiting longest and said, "oh, your food has been ready." He was very frustrated, but she didn't apologize/acknowledge. Finally, after 20 min of waiting - 20 minutes past when it was to be ready - I asked to speak with a manager. I guess I asked loudly enough because another employee said it's been ready. He said he called my name three times. (I've been there the whole time waiting.) The woman said I should have told her I was an app order - and while the guy was saying he called my name - said they don't call names for app orders. I don't know why she didn't bother to check or help me while my shakes were allegedly sitting there the whole time. No one seemed to care, including the manager who was there to help. I've never had such a terrible experience from a Danny Meyer place - it completely goes against what I understand to be his method of running an establishment. It's enough to make me consider no longer visiting that location, which is closest to me. I hope something can be done to improve the customer service at that location. read more

Great burgers! The BBQ Bacon Burger was great (with mayo). Crinkle cut fries were yummy and rootbeer was amazing. Really busy... other choices schroom burger and shakes are worth trying. Gluten buns available, but seriously if you are vegetarian OR on a diet why the f#%! would you expect any healthy choices at a burger joint. Get serious! Shake Shack is a fancy McDonald's. The menu is slightly broader, and you can purchase a can of wine. The only difference is the the price. Today's purchase was a Buffalo Chicken sandwich, small fries, and a small Root Beer. The Chicken sandwich was no better than a Wendy's Chicken sandwich. The fries were no better than McDonald's fries, and the Root Beer was ice and an ounce of soda. The bill was $16.52, the value $10. Good luck! read more

Shake Shack 1109 in Downtown Brooklyn on the corner of Fulton Street is fairly hidden, it first took me a few times up and down the street to find it as the store name is only on one side of the building. I visited this chain burger joint after a good experience at a location in Manhatten and I hoped that Shake Shack would be able to deliver a good, safe gluten-free meal in Brooklyn, NYC as after the long walk across the stunning Brooklyn Bridge, I was pretty hungry. The store is located on a corner and is a little small considering how busy it can get, I didn't find there to be enough seating either. I was served almost straight away by a friendly server who took my order of a Gluten Free Double Shack Burger, I paid the extra dollar for the gluten-free bun - I hate places that charge extra for GF food, but I do get costs can be higher and if the food is good I'm willing to pay it - however the food wasn't good. Overall it came to $8.33, which worked out eleven cents more compared to their 3rd Avenue store before the currency exchange even came into it! My food did take a while to come, and I was given a pager which I don't understand the use for as they weren't using them - the staff were instead shouting out names/order numbers from the pager. I really didn't like how the burgers were all in a thin piece of paper next to each other, making the chance of cross-contamination high - unlike other locations where they make the gluten-free orders separate and fresh to order, this made me feel really uneasy eating my food as obviously the bun looks exactly the same as the regular one. The quality of my food again was terrible - the meat has no flavour and was chewy while the bun was rather doughy and soggy as fuck - especially at the bottom, the tomatoes which normally add juiciness to the burger tasted as they'd just got them from the ground and done nothing with them - and that isn't good either! In the end, I just had to end up throwing my burger in the bin as I couldn't stomach it after eating around a quarter. The only good thing I can think of regarding this store is the friendly guy that served me, the rest of the experience from the overall store feel, food quality and picking up my order was a terrible mess. 1* read more

I absolutely love shake shack! Whenever I'm visiting I have to make a trip. Everytime I go I always seem to get the best employees helping me. They are friendly and always want to make sure I'm happy. This location is no different. I actually think I got the best customer service from this Shake Shack than any other location. It was my first time trying their custard and shortly after I wanted to slap myself for not trying it sooner! I've been missing out!! The chocolate custard is a definite must. Every time I go, I get the same Burger. I get the Shack Stack and add bacon. Granted after everything my meal comes to about $22... But I ain't complaining cause all I'm thinking about is the goodness I'm inhaling. The line may seem long but don't worry it goes by pretty fast. Oh Shake Shack-I'm always impressed how a restaurant that started as a small stand in Madison Square Park is now a national restaurant chain! I recently stopped into this downtown Brooklyn location, and I had a good dining experience. I tried the SmokeShack, which was a cheeseburger that included bacon, cherry peppers, and their version of a special sauce. With the cherry peppers on board, I was expecting more of a spicy kick, but I was satisfied with the tender quality of the meat and the combination of melted cheese and bacon (it's hard to screw up that much sodium goodness). I also like their crinkle-cut fries, and their shakes are also top-notch. However, every time I visit Shake Shack recently, I end up feeling like I'm overpaying for what I'm get. The fact that I'm paying almost $20 for a burger, fries, and shake seems almost scandalous, and while Shake Shack is good, it's not spectacular enough for my wallet to take that kind of hit on the regular. read more

Easily one of the most disgusting experiences I've had. I watched my food get placed under the heating lamp with no wrapper/box. Just bare touching the surface. Then, it was placed into a half paper sleeve (after dragging it across the heating lamp of course. Yum!) and then placed into the bag directly. The grease just oozed out of the thin paper bag. It was nice to chance upon Shake Shack on Fulton St. while driving through on our way to Ikea Brooklyn. It has a spacious and airy feel, surrounded by wall-to-wall glass, even though it was packed on the weekend. It seemed everyone was in their right mind to get some burgers, fries, frozen custard, and other delicious eats. Service was straightforward and sudden cravings for a Shack burger, crinkle fries, and grape soda were instantly satisfied, after the ubiquitous wait found at every Shake Shack that is. Always get extra Shack sauce on the side to dip your crinkle fries in, as ketchup alone is so 2017. This location was the first place where I used mobile ordering and it was a bit awkward. I set my time a bit late so I was in there early and had to wait a bit. But by the time I got the text it was ready, there was no one in sight to give me my order. All the workers seems to be doing something, but I would think there should be someone there to give out mobile order that is ready. After flagging someone down, they called out to another person (I guess it was her responsibility to give out mobile orders) to help me out. She kind of gave me a hard time. She wouldn't just take the order # in the app, but requested me to show my credit card. I guess lucky i had it with me. Kind of annoyed, but the food is consistently good. read more

It was family fun day at Brooklyn Bridge Park - Piers and of course, we couldn't leave w/o having a Shake Shack milkshake! The burgers ($5.29) are just as good as we first had them, but it was the "Chick-Shack" that really stood out for me. While some may just raise an eyebrow and think "an over priced McChicken?" then you would be soooo wrong... Seriously. The chick shack ($6.29), one whole piece of juicy chicken breast, well seasoned and deep fried crispiness, served in their signature potato roll, with lettuce, pickles and their blend of mayo. We also grabbed dessert, or is it a shake? I think it's more like a dessert in a cup! Bottom: cake, middle: custard, top: berries and cream - it was freaking awesome! I'm a big fan of the Shake Shack (I have no shame naming it one of my favorite burgers in NYC). and I'm officially naming this location as my new favorite (sorry Battery Park - you've been moved to #2) We ate in on a recent Saturday night (after a lovely walk across the BK Bridge) and had no problemo finding a seat. Why? Because this new location is huge! There are two separate eating areas that include just about every type of seating: high top community table, booths, and cozy tables for 2. The line was moving quick and it took less than 10 minutes to place our order. We started off with our usual (double cheeseburgers & fries) and added a chocolate caramel milkshake (which was awesome) and a ShackMeister Ale (which I was told was 'pretty good'). The food was spot on and I can't wait to venture back. Bonus points to Shake Shack for finally opening a BK location! Any time I've got a craving it's just a short train ride away. :-) *reminder- make sure you tell the cashier what you'd like on the burger (lettuce, pickle, onion, etc) or else it will come with nothin'! After almost 8 hours in the car with 3 kids and driving into NYC traffic, we decided to try out the Shake Shack. It was also within walking distance of our hotel. It was packed! The shakes were just ok. The burger was good. The fries may have been the best part: crinkle cut and crispy. They were out of straws and we asked for some and were told no. What?!
