I've been to plenty of shake shacks on the east coast and they were all VERY good this is a great location they could use some additional parking the location is in a great spot along with some other great restaurants I will say they only have been open for less than 1 week so ill give them the benefit of the doubt my food was not worth what I paid my cheeseburger was very cold & had no flavor & my chocolate shake was very runny I will give them another try this time ill wait a few more months to see if anything has changed. My husband and I went to Shake Shack the other night for dinner. We were so excited to try this location when it first opened but waited for the "hype" to go down a little bit (due to the crowds of people always there). The interior of this place is great! It's very sleek and modern. I love the design and the little accents that create a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The place is very bright and spacious. There is plenty of seating inside and a comfy outdoor patio seating area for nice days. The dining experience definitely makes this place feel a few steps up from your usual fast food restaurant. The staff at this location is wonderful! There are plenty of people working that are all pleasant and super helpful. You can order online through the app, at the kiosk tablets when you walk in, or at the register like you would at any other fast food place. You receive a text when your food is ready. There is staff working the pick up area to help you make sure you have everything you need before returning back to your table. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because the food is just "meh". The food is pretty comparable to many other fast food place... just with higher prices. Stopped here a late lunch today. The wait to order was not bad. It was easy to use the kiosk. My cousin and I ordered at the same time. Her food came out in less than ten minutes. Mine ended up taking at least ten more minutes than hers to the point she had ate her entire burger before mine came out. Also people who ordered after got theirs before mine. Not very conductive to group dining for sure. Also the drinks are small and expensive. Not sure Id order the burger again. Would try something different as it's a bit pricy. Also the new mentioned a promotion where you could get fries for showing your vaccine card. With everything being self order no way to take advantage of it. read more

I had been to Shake Shake in Boston and NYC and loved it so when I saw it was coming to Indianapolis, I was excited to get it again. My sister and I tried coming here opening week and there was an absurdly long line, as expected, so we decided to wait until a month or so after opening week. Fast forward to now, the line was still out the door but not wrapped around the building so we decided to wait it out. I can't pinpoint how long we waited from waiting in line to getting our food but it was a long time. It was a mad house in the kitchen with dining in orders and takeout/pickup orders, so I understand the wait. The whole operation was pretty organized with someone controlling the line and someone controlling the orders going out. They had 2 ipad stations to order food on (but only one open) and two registers but only one open. There was actually a lot of seating available indoors and outdoors so we snatched a table outside. What we didn't know is that they text you when your order is ready so you don't have to stand around up front, which is nice. As far as food quality, it was there. The avocado bacon burger was great and the fries were even better. And to top it all off, the cookies and cream milkshake. The milkshake was pretty luke warm after awhile so I saved most of it to re-freeze for later. Overall - food was good but the wait and line was long so it is up to you to determine if it is worth it. Husband and I tried this place out for the first time We ordered the following: Regular cheeseburger Avocado bacon cheese burger Reg fries Cheese fries Purple cow Chocolate pudding shake The burgers are very good, really liked the buns and the fresh patties. Although they are relatively small and my husband regrets not ordering the double. The crinkle cut fries were decent, but we enjoy Portillos crinkle fries more (and their cheese dipping sauce). I really liked the chocolate pudding shake, it tasted just like chocolate pudding. My husband liked the purple cow (grape soda and ice cream) but said he probably would have enjoyed a root beer float more. I think that's just a taste preference. We went around 3:30pm on a weds and there was adequate seating. We preordered in the app. FYI the website doesn't have fishers listed yet for online ordering, but the app does. I recommend preordering as it's new and people are packing in. You will have a wait if you order in store. Like I said, we both enjoyed it, but we wouldn't go out of our way to go get it in the future. (we don't live in fishers) 5 guys taste can compete pretty well. As much as I want to rave about this restaurant, I can't. It was just ok. I had a double ShackBurger, crinkle fries and a chocolate shake. They were smash burgers, pretty good, honestly. Tasty burgers. No complaints. The fries were basic, which was fine. The shake was basic, good but not 'wow, that's great!' good. It appears you can order only a a kiosk and they text you when your food is ready. A little impersonal, but maybe it's more efficient for them. The wait for food was not long, as the restaurant was a little over half full on a cool Sunday afternoon. You pick up the food at the counter and that's that, there's no table service, which is fine. The bill was almost $20, and that was without leaving a tip for the food service staff that the kiosk solicited. That's a lot of money for a burger and fries that aren't nearly as good as what you can get at Five Guys. In the end, it's a name, it's a place to go to so you can say you went. I might go back some day, I'd like to avocado bacon chicken sandwich. But I won't be in a huge hurry to get there. read more

Don't let the line scare you. We seriously got in and out in about 10 mins. They have kiosk as well as cashiers taking orders. My food was so fresh. My burger was juicy and made to order. The fries were really good and the cheese sauce was great. You just have to eat it pretty fast because the sauce gets thick and cold pretty fast. I opted for their lemonade instead of a shake and it was really good. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I'm a happy camper and will be back! read more

Being in a highly trafficked area of Fishers, we were really nervous that we'd be waiting forEVER and subpar service. We were not disappointed, and here's why: -Ordering was so easy. You can 1. Order at a kiosk. 2. Order with a real human at a register 3. Order ahead on the app. -The wait was WAYYY better than expected. It was so packed in there so we were prepping ourselves to be in a world of pain, but we got our food 15 minutes from when we ordered! -The food was delicious! I don't think I've seen a grand opening for such a highly anticipated chain, go so smoothly. I went opening day and waited 30 min from the moment I got in line to when I got my food. Is it mind blowingly different? No but is it consistently delicious with good options? Yes! I love their rotating milkshakes and usually try one even though I don't like milk shakes much. Their shack sauce is yummy and I get cheese on the side for my crispy crinkle fries. Their buns are so good and I love how they cook their burgers. I'm one for trends and crazes- hell, when I lived in LA, I trekked 20 minutes to an In 'n Out just to grab a shake after a root canal surgery. I tried every Instagrammable location possible, including the infamous Cafe Gratitude that was faaaaaar too 'soul-searching' in its ethos for my liking. So of course, when I heard Shake Shack was coming to Indy, I knew I had to check it out. The first rumblings were of an airport branch that has seemingly disappeared into the abyss. Pretty soon, the Fishers outlet was announced - and a third seems to be popping up in Downtown Indianapolis (after all, it was only a matter of time). With companions in tow, off we went - in hindsight, I definitely should've ordered via the app to marginally speed up the process. What ensued was a relatively simple ordering process via the restaurant's iPad kiosks and a 30-minute wait for an order that included: 1 burger, 1 order of cheese fries, and 1 shake. In all honesty, the wait time is probably what compromised the burger the most. Having tried Shake Shack once before, I can attest to the fact that the flavors are what they are - the patty is satisfying, the vegetables sparse, the bun and Shack Sauce both addictive. But the fries are where we found our joy: they're a classic, crinkle-cut fry, done really well. And while the cheese has no hint of spice and very little sauce, it compliments the fry well - better than I expected at least. Finally, the Oreo shake, a yardstick by which I measure most burger joints: after all, if you screw up a classic Oreo Shake, how can I trust you? And Shake Shack had a higher bar to hit: after all, it's frozen custard, and having tasted Wisconsin's finest (S/O to Kopp's Custard), I refused to be served anything less than creamy perfection. Luckily, the shake delivered...and then some. Despite melting almost instantly in the summer heat, it was as luscious as I could've wanted. Would I go back? Sure, especially with a first-timer who needs to lose their Shake Shack virginity. Would I wait that long for all of this again? Doubtful. But hey, if I want a reliable crinkle cut fry to dunk into some custard, I know where I'm headed next. read more

The burgers are great. I have never had a problem with service or anything! 4 stars because there's a tad of inconsistency and the prices are a tad high. I like being able to order online on the app. I value restaurants that have a simple menu with a few unique items so that they can focus on quality, which is how I see Shake Shack. I love the shakes...haven't even ventured to try the more unique specialty ones because I love a vanilla or cookies and cream shake with a burger. I am also a total sucker for crinkle cut fries. Inconsistency reasons (nothing terrible just little things): * My sister's shake was slightly different flavored though we ordered the same flavor. No big deal. Mistakes happen. She took it back and it seemed that one employee was not immediately offering to fix it and another had to swoop in. This may just be inexperience on the part of one employee vs. the other, but there was some process issue that caused the shake to be off in the first place. * I enjoy shack sauce, but on a double, I think I should get more than on a single, and I think my single was swimming in it on one visit and on my double I had to look for it to see if it was there. I will probably order an extra side of the sauce, but I'm not sure I'll always need it given that one time I had enough... * In the restaurant, 2/3 ketchup dispensers are not usable in all of my visits (empty or broken). I love the food. I will be back, but at the higher price point, I feel the need to comment on the little things. None of the things I mentioned are deal breakers because I sometimes need a good shackburger and crinkle cut fries. And even maybe finally a specialty shake. read more

This burger really hit the spot today. My husband and I both got classic Shack Burgers and shared a regular fry (~$15). I loved the shack sauce and wish I got extra on the side to dip the fries in. I get that its opening day but this was really upsetting. Our order was 2 double Shack burgers, one with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, ShackStack Burger, 2 shakes and 2 fries. I paid $7.29 for the double Shack burger with lettuce wrap. When I got home it was literally just 2 patties in lettuce....no tomato, no cheese, no condiments. Our other burgers had everything on it. The Shack sauce was very good on the burger however I would not suggest dipping your fries in it. I didn't like the taste of the mixture so I stuck to ketchup with my fries. My drink was a Berry 50/50 Harvest Lemonade; spectacular you could taste the mint in the drink giving that fresh harvest taste. I could not remember the name of the manager that offered to make it right on my first visit... close to opening but he offered a redo and they honored it today. A double burger and fries comes to like $15. - portions run smaller. The pop cups are smaller, the singles are not that filling (to a six foot four man) - get cheese on the side with your fries. You get more cheese that way. I think shake shack cheese is the best in the game. Very sharp. - shakes might be the namesake but they arent that special. I say skip the shake - this locations order system is pretty efficient. Pay with card at a kiosk, cash at counter. - I recommend the smoke burger with the bacon and spicy red peppers. It's Shake Shack. Everyone knows the name. What more can I say? If you're looking for a fast-food burger and fries, this is the place to go. I love trying their seasonal items. The truffle burger and parmesan truffle fries were honestly phenomenal. Hands-down one of the best burgers I've ever had... not joking. I really hope they bring that baby back! In the meantime, I'll dream about it. I also love the apple ciderade - a perfect combo of apple cider, vanilla, and lemonade. If you like mushrooms, and even if you don't, their Shroom Burger is fab. Shake Shack is always busy at this location. Despite how busy they seemed I thought we got our food fairly quick. We all enjoyed our food and everything seemed very fresh. Our kiddos were exceptionally happy with the milkshake selection. Knocked a star because with the amount of hype that Shake Shack gets I thought for sure we would be blown away...and it really just felt like all the other made to order burger joints that I won't name. I'm so glad we have one in Indiana now!! I've been the OG location in NYC and also other big cities like Chicago and DC. It's definitely my favorite place for a burger because they do it all right. While they're still dealing with long waits and general grand opening struggles, that will go away. It did take us an hour of patiently waiting to receive our food on the first Friday they were open. The real downside was having to enjoy the food at home and eating cold fries because there wasn't room to dine-in. I'll likely come back once we can do it.
