Close up on the Big Shack and fries. Don't let the ugly appearance of the Big Shack fool you, it tastes like a pleasant dream.

This is gonna be my last time going to a Shake Shack anywhere in the city because service is just rough. I had to come around here because the first Shake Shack in the Theater District had no kiosks therefore I couldn't order from the app in that area so I had to come around here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I already had an iffy feeling coming here because the area is more of a pick up and go area with barely any seating inside, although there was plenty outside and ordering from kiosks were preferred since the actual ordering area is like a conveyor belt pushing out orders in an overly busy location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reminds me of the Bryant Park location which I wasn't too keen of because service was sluggish there but was still fairly adept compared to this location. I ordered my food 10 minutes before reaching the place and it took 10 minutes AFTER the estimated time for it to be done to have my food brought to me. There was much anxiety and frustration, from me and others. Some guy spazzed and crashed out as he stormed out of the area. I couldn't blame him at all, the service in this spot was absolute booty buttcheeks & not the fine hot supermodel booty but the nasty, stank homeless booty, the service was borderline atrocious. When I FINALLY got my order, they couldn't even get the small detail as to NOT put onions in my Big Shack. The Big Shack I got looked like slop, I almost facepalmed onto the freaking table I was sitting at. OK then, rant over because on to the actual best part of the review. Trash service aside, the food...for what it's worth, I've NEVER had any shake shack order that was less than satisfactory no matter how inadequate the service or setting of the place was. The Big Shack is basically a definite upgrade over the Big Mac from McDonald's and I can't call anything a knock off if it's better than the actual product. It was DELICIOUS! I also had standard fare fries which were a delight as usual, I got that because it was $3 on the app and same for the soda which is $1 on the app as well. I also got the Christmas Cookie Shake which tasted like makeup sex, meaning it was GOOD! In conclusion, you want good food from Shake Shack with actual, productive service, go to the ones in Queens & Brooklyn. Heck maybe even the Bronx since it can't be THAT BAD up there. I'll stick with the outer boroughs to get some Shack goodness because it's miserable doing so within Manhattan.

I walked into this establishment on the first occasion for a promotion from the liberty game for which my wife has season tickets. I arrived to find lot of people looking like they were at the DMV but they were not on line just waiting for their order. I showed the cashier my email and she asked for my ticket to the game from the day before I didn't have it so I left. On the second occasion it was for the same purpose about a month later and this time the people waiting were less but when I walked up to the cashier her back was turned away from the customers I waited for at least 3 min she never turned around instead the cashier from my previous experience walked up and I showed her the email and she once again asked for my ticket to the game this time also from yesterdays game.the first experience management sent me a email for 10.00 after ordering the cheapest item from the menu I still had to pay 1.62 thanks shake shack!

First time trying Shake Shack in my life, I had the Smoke Shack as part of a promotion. Hated it! Extremely salty and patties aren't seasoned well. In-n-out reigns supreme

My 1000th review! I always wanted it to be a joyous one, but this one is anything but that. My office is nearby and I've always considered coming, however, there is always a lot of folks here and there are various other options in the area. On this day, I took a. Very late lunch and walked by and only saw a few people inside and decided to have my first experience here. Since nobody was waiting, I anticipated I would be next and stood there for a bit. Finally an employee noticed me but made no effort to walk towards the register. At the same time, I noticed the kiosks behind me and I asked if i needed to order via the kiosk. She told me I did and I proceeded to place my order. Only a few shorts minutes later, I turn my back and see two other people ordering from this same cashier-- I'm like WTH!? Why did she tell me to use the kiosk, but took these other two people! As I was waiting for my order, a seemingly homeless man enters and repeatedly asks and semi-demands that I get him a burger. I declined, but after multiple times of him asking I just decided to give him a few bucks. The workers are just standing there watching him, but didn't do anything. It's NYC, and it's normal for folks to panhandle, but maybe suggest he leave the premises. After giving him a few bucks, he decided he would help himself to someone else's order that was on the counter and left. I finally get my order and head back to my office, I noticed the fries had cheese of them, which I did not ask for and I didn't really care for. The burger was standardfare , but this $16 meal wasn't worth all the trouble. I think this will be my first and last visit to this Shake Shack location.

SmokeShack- burger, Korean Style Fried Chicken sandwich, Fries

Love Shake Shack! The SmokeShack burger is delicious - the crispy smoked bacon and the smashed patty with the melted cheese.... bomb dot com. My chief complaint about Shake Shack is the portion size - the burger is quite small (if you can eat a lot like me, you could probably finish 2 burgers if you were really hungry). In-N-Out is cheaper than Shake Shack across the board, and so far that reason, the comparison isn't exactly apples to apples. Because Shake Shack costs more, they should be using better ingredients which should technically result in a better tasting burger. And to me, it does taste better, as it should due to the higher cost. But that doesn't mean it's better than In-N-Out. So for all you comparing Shake Shack to In-N-Out... give it a rest. They both are special and good in their own regard.

Your standard shake shack. Came here on a Friday around dinner time - was really busy and waited a while for the food. Multiple pad self ordering stations inside as well as the traditional ordering cashier counter. Tried the PRIDE triple chocolate brownie shake - sinfully decadent lol

The fries are delicious. 06/30/21

Shake Shack is a NYC Burger Chain loved by many. The prices have really gone up over the years so I don't go as frequently as I used to. If you don't get there when they open you may need to wait in line. I've always found their employees to be welcoming and efficient. It's a routine you learn that is typically the same from location to location. I like this location as it's not far from Central Park. Sometimes I take my food to the park unless I'm with my daughter. When we're together we dine in. My burger is always moist and prepared as I requested. I love the custard for desert too. Depending on the flavors available I enjoy their shake too. Naturally the fries are yumalicious! (My Word) When you're hungry for a burger see if there's a Shake Shack nearby. You won't be disappointed.

Everything was good. The shake was frosty. The hamburger tasted fresh from a cow tum tum. Place was crowded but made it work. Super yummy.

Food delivery through the shake shack app came an hour after I ordered and the food was freezing cold. To make matters worse there was a long black hair in my fries and I don't have black hair

We're big fans of Shake Shack. Whenever we're in NYC we make it a point of eating at one at least once. That opportunity was last night for dinner. It was a three block walk over. Because of the pandemic there's one entrance and one exit. And one online pickup table. Maybe I was tired & hungry but it took what seemed like forever to get our order. 20 minutes. Our receipt time stamped 5:45pm. We sat down at 6:05pm out in the square. Hubby had the avocado bacon fried chicken sandwich and I had the Shack burger. One order of fries and one strawberry shake. We sat outside in the square. Near the online delivery area. So many delivery guys with their bikes. We're fully vaccinated so weren't too worried. More of a distraction. Both our sandwiches were lukewarm. The fries were crispy hot. The shake was cold but the whipped cream had dissolved into the shake. An average dining experience.

Delicious burgers, crispy fries, and decadent milkshakes, what more could you ask for? This is my go to place when the fast food burger craving hits and it never lets me down. I also love checking out the new rotating items on the menu, currently they have a Korean-inspired chicken sandwich/fries and a black sugar milkshake. This was my first black sugar experience and I'm absolutely hooked to the nutty flavor thanks to this milkshake. My go to here is the shackburger with bacon. I'm not a big fan of their chicken items, the fried coating tends to just slip off so I'd recommend sticking to their burgers. This location only has outdoor seating so it's especially nice to dine here during the spring/summertime.

Came with bag. I appreciate that they care.

The small order of veg dumplings was a very reasonable price and portion. I thought they were well stuffed with veggies. I was a little disappointed with the dumpling wrapper- i prefer a lighter softer wrapper. But overall I still ate it all, and it was a quick nice snack. The pork soup dumplings arrived literally spilling pink/red liquid that looked like blood. My mother had never tried soup dumplings before, so we were hoping for a fun experience, but she immediately spit it out. I brought it back and showed the staff the uncooked pork and the blood/red liquid on the napkin. They simply re-steamed them and brought them back except now there was no soup left inside the dumplings at all. The chicken teriyaki was tough and chewy, almost like jerky, as if it had been overcooked on an extremely hot grill or deep fried too long. The spring rolls were mediocre at best, with vegetables inside that had a mushy, paste-like texture. Very disappointing. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the rice. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

This time at the Times Square location after seeing Oh! Mary. Classic cheese smashburgers paired with Mexican Cokes. It's easily one of the better smashburgers around--juicy patty, delicious sauce, grilled onions, pickles and a soft bun. The burgers are on the smaller side (not White Castle small, but my daughter usually eats two!), but at $6.50 for a single patty cheeseburger, it's a OK value. Don't skip the fries--they are crispy, delicious, and a generous portion for the price. Quick, easy, and fast! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and easygoing. One small snag at this location. My daughter requested, "no pickles." There were pickles in her burger. No biggie. She simply took them out and gave them to me. This location's supervisor overheard us. He apologized. We told him it was ok. No big deal. He didn't accept that. While we appreciated his standards, we felt put on the spot as much as his crew did. We felt bad for the cashier and made sure we told him we were sorry for how things went down. None of it was needed nor justified. Hence, the 4 out of 5 stars! Fast-casual vibe that feels a bit more low-key than standard fast-food joints. At this location there's a few booths, but they are usually occupied. We had to wait a few minutes until people left to get seats. 7th Street always hits!

The setup inside this dimly lit restaurant had a bunch of steam tables offering various beef and chicken dishes, a handful of rice options, and a bunch of salads/fruits. Having no idea what we were looking at, we asked the friendly owner for some advice. After some contemplation, two of us made a plate with all beef over some jollof rice, and another with basically all chicken items over a different type of flavorful rice. We knew it was too much, but our goal was to figure out what we would come back for. Honestly, I did not enjoy most of the chicken because it's sitting in steam trays getting overcooked.
