When a place that was once fantastic suddenly becomes awful, it is tragic. Before, Shake Shack offers excellent cuisine and service. I no longer feel secure visiting because the food is no longer the same, the flavors are weak, the service has gotten incredibly slow, and the atmosphere is irritating. Numerous thugs are present fairly close to the area; some of them are rowdy consumers. I can't believe how this place rejected us. My friends and I used to come here earlier and place takeout or dine-in orders. I think many people used to like visiting this location, so I hope it comes to life again. read more

Can't go wrong with Shake Shack! I ordered delivery from the app, and it came right on time! Everything was on point. I'd recommend checking out Shake Shack if you've never had it before. Everything is good except for the price probably. Having said that though, in my opinion, In-N-Out is WAY better and wins hands down! Shake Shack is more of a "fancy burger place" and In-N-Out is a cheap and tasty fast food. First timer here at a Shake Shack. This location was just a short walk from our hotel. The kiosk ordering system was easy enough to navigate through. Prices just a bit higher than Hawaii for fast food but I'd say the quality was a little better. Tasty burger, crisp on the outside, medium well on the inside, melted cheese, with fresh lettuce and tomato, and a dab of some kind of sauce - needed more ketchup though. Crinkle cut fries were excellent and so was the chocolate shake. Without my asking, they gave an ample amount of ketchup packs and napkins. Would've been a hit if the guy handing out the order said something like "Thank you, enjoy." Ah well, New York. read more

It was the worst experience ever!!! I scheduled to pick up my food at 11:30 and arrived there at 11:28. I notified the guy who is in charge of picking up at 11:32. He told me to wait, it will be a while. I double-checked with him at 11:45 again. Still, he asked me to wait with an impatient tone. I went inside the store at 11:48 and asked another staff and she directly gave me my food. The receipt showed that my food was ready at 11:26! It is 30 degrees out there!!! The staff just doesn't want to check whether my food is ready and kept me waiting cold outside while my food is sitting there!!! I finally decided to try Shake Shack for the first time given the prominent order ahead (=no wait!) separate entrance signage I noticed while walking by a day prior. Once I also saw they offer bun free-lettuce wrap options, I was sold. Got the chicken sandwich lettuce wrap with my custom toppings, and it was delicious! Also, the ordering ahead worked seamlessly....placed my order before running a quick errand, and as I was heading over to SS, I got the text that my order was ready. No wait....in and out. The place is really small with only 2 tables inside. Most of the seating is outside. There are 4 self order kiosk and 2 cashiers. Service is efficient so the place does not get over crowded with people waiting for their orders. Food is consistent with all other Shake Shacks. It's best that you have the receipt sent to your email if self ordering or ask for a receipt if by cashier as the order pickup person will ask to see it to make sure the order is indeed yours. read more

Despite being awfully dry there were at least 2 unchewable pieces that i literally needed to spit out in both patties. She had the same problem meaning it's in all the pattie's. It's cartilage not ground up well and it's disgusting. Who would expect Shake shack not to have the best ground beef considering how many places they have. I'm disgusted ...stay away. read more

I was so excited to see this Shake Shack open as it is only half a block from my office. I went today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how little time it took from ordering to getting my food. In addition to cashiers, they also have a number of unmanned kiosks where you can place your order and pay with credit card. Most people, including me, were using the kiosks to order and as a result, there was no line for the cashiers at all. The majority of the wait time is waiting for your order to be ready. They call orders by name but there appears to be an issue where the name that is entered at the kiosk shows up on their system incorrectly with some letters cut off at the end. So for example, if your name is "Vicky" it shows up on their end as "Vick" or if you name is "Jenna" it shows up on their end as "Jen". This obviously caused a lot of confusion for some orders and hopefully will get fixed ASAP. Note that there are very few seats at this location so I highly recommend picking up and eating elsewhere. There are some tables in the little plaza outside which would be a nice place to sit down on a pleasant day. read more

Although the address is 1700 Broadway, the entrance is actually on West 53rd between Broadway and 7th. The layout is pretty well thought out - there are clearly marked doors for pickups, counter service, and exit. In addition to traditional counter service, there are also self-service order stations near the entrance. I placed a large-ish order beforehand and went to pick up 18 burgers and loads of shakes and fries. The staff were outstanding. They were professional, friendly, and super-helpful. Perfect order, packed well, ontime. And of course, the burgers and shakes were fantastic, which is why we ordered in the first place! Thanks! We'll be back! read more

I appreciate the good customer service here. After a long day I stopped in for dinner and they were packed. It took about 10-15 minutes to get my order which was understandable for how busy it was. Once I got home I discovered that my whole order was messed up. I called and left a voicemail to try and resolve this. The manager, Luis, called me back almost immediately and was very kind. They gave me a refund and a free meal for the next time I come in. To me that is good customer service and shows that they have good management. Thank you Luis!! read more
