The operation is tightly run, and the food was prepared just as the good Lord intended--nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to quality or customer service. However, finding a comfortable spot to eat your food can be challenging. The dining area is limited to barstool seating, which isn't ideal given the large portions Chick-fil-A is known for. Fortunately, I managed to grab a seat by the window, where one of the corridors has a small ledge suitable for resting, though it only fits one or two people at a time--I'm not even sure if that was its intended purpose. As expected, the location gets packed since it's in a tourist-heavy area, but overall, it's a solid spot for a quick bite if you're on the go. Just my luck that my office is across the street. It's my go to spot for lunch when I have no idea what to eat or have little to no time. It's a takeout location, which is cool. I unfortunately got the far right cashier and there was a guy for pickup standing in front of her so I could barely order (and in fact couldn't hear her). If you walk Pass this establishment then you'll think it's a mad house. The line literally wraps around the building but once you go in side you'll realize they are actually organized and the line goes by super fast. I popped in on a Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised as I waited online- an attendant offered me a menu and then another attendant came by to see if I was ready to place my order- they did this right on the spot on a tablet while I waited in line. Once I got to the front to a cashier they confirmed my order and handed me my food. Wow! Very genius of this establishment. I wish more restaurants used this method. Been to this location numerous times (when I started my review it was a 3 star) and everything was always great until today. I ordered my usual frosted lemonade ($4.78). There were a few people in front of me in line which is normal. The cashier said she will make it for me. Wonderful. Though, I happened to see a pre-made one sitting on the counter where the workers make the beverages. She fills the lemonade in the cup, sees the pre-made one and gives it to me. There is a hole in the ice cream like someone ate from it (maybe?). The cashier tells me the hole is from the ice cream blending and to shake it that is what they do. I shake it though the top is a bit liquidity. I took a sip but it doesn't taste like it usually does for me. Since I don't know how long the cup has been there, I dumped the frosted lemonade in the garbage can since I didn't want a stomachache. Normally, this place is efficient. Some employees are cheerful and others are not. A person takes your order while on line. You tell the cashier your name and you pay. This review is strictly for the weekday lunch rush hour. If you're in a hurry, do yourself and everyone else a favor and go to the location at 42nd and Madison. It's much more efficient and you'll be in and out in half the time. I work in midtown and came here on a Wednesday with some coworkers. The line was out the door, and mind you it was COLD! The line itself moved decently fast and there were people taking orders on iPads once you get inside so that your order is already in the system by the time you get to the front of the line to pay. But it's quite a mess in the front with everyone gathered in a small space waiting for their name to be called. I hate being that New Yorker than speaks poorly of tourist, but because this is on 6th ave, there are lots of tourists who just aren't aware that there's almost an unspoken 'order' to things and can sometimes be in the way if you're in a rush. I used the code provided on the app to check-in on the tablet near the pick-up spot. When the food was brought out to me, it was a chicken burrito. Since the ingredients were pretty much the same thing, I didn't bother informing them of the error. The meal came with hash browns and a small cup of coffee. My son works at Chick Fil A in Texas, so of course we had to visit while in New York. In all fairness, we are in the middle of the Coronavirus situation, so maybe things aren't as they usually are. When we walked in, there were quite a few people there. A team member called us over to his register, but once we walked up he said nothing. No smile, no can I take your order, he just stared at us. The CFA hospitality in Texas is top notch, and I realize we aren't in the South anymore. Once we ordered, we stepped to the side out of the way which I guess was their "dining room", but they had taken all of the stools away, probably to deter people from sticking around. At that time another team member yelled out that their dining room was closed and we needed to wait in the pick up area....two feet closer to the register. Weird. Anyway, we took our food to go and walked back to our hotel. We did enjoy our food and it was just like what we are used to. I would recommend that you come eat at Chick Fil A if you've never had it, I just wished their level of service was the same at all locations. Bread was a great vessel, as it also had tomatoes, lettuce and some sort of sauce. Cheese fries were a-okay. Crinkle cut with a thickened cheese sauce; I'd stick with regular fries next time. Well ... it's a Chick-fil-A ... so you really can't go wrong if you're a fan of delicious chicken sandwiches. This new location on 6th ave and 46th street gets a LOT of traffic. At around 6pm the lines were literally out the door. But these guys do an amazing job of managing the long lines by having menus ready by the door and taking your orders on tablets while you wait on line. After giving you a little device to give to the register, they do a great job of getting people in/out pretty quickly. You really don't notice the wait too much and the staff does a fine job of getting your made-to-order grub in your hands in a reasonable amount of time. The sandwiches here were perfectly made. The spicy chicken sandwich was ... for lack of a better word .. pretty kick ass. The meat was tender and the filet had a nice balance of juiciness and crispiness. You also can't go wrong with their delish waffle fries. All in all they do a fine job at this particular location. Options are quite limited for food around Time Square if you're on a budget. But Adam and I didn't mind as when we were in LA we didn't get to try Chick-fil-A (only got to try the nuggets). This location is chaotic, basically everyone who doesn't want to spend tons on food ends up here so it's dirty, the lines are insane, seating has its own separate lineup, and keep a close eye and listen carefully to the orders or you might miss yours. Adam and I split up, he ordered and I waited for seats. We got lucky and both of us got to sit together on the high chairs in front of the window. It was still pretty cramped but at least we got to finish our meal sitting down after a long day of walking. Food is ok, I did enjoy my mix of drumsticks/popcorn chicken and fries. Adam got a chicken burger and it was good too. I see the appeal but I don't see how this chicken differentiates from Popeye's or KFC. I kinda find those chains a bit better. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on the way to work for a much more exciting meal than the typical bagel or yogurt parfait. Probably won't be seeing these in San Francisco anytime soon, so have to visit when traveling for work. Chick-fil-A Biscuit: Some people like breakfast-for-dinner, but I've always been a fan of dinner-for-breakfast. Any leftovers in the fridge are fair game. Hence, why I have absolutely no issue eating fried chicken first thing in the morning. The cutlet was crispy and juicy. The biscuit was flaky and buttery. And the signature sauce added a nice zing. So I finally bit the bullet and went to chick fil a, in part because I downloaded the app and got a free sandwich, and then line wasn't astronomically long for once. I got the spicy chicken sandwich with a multigrain bun, lettuce, and tomatoes -each of those are extra btw...but, the multigrain bun is a surprisingly nice option for a glorified 'preachy' version of Roy Rogers (now banished to the Jersey Turnpike and Parkway rest areas). The ordering process is fairly efficient, so seemingly long lines aren't as bad as they appear. All overall, the spicy chicken sandwich was decently sized, crispy, and fairly juicy for what I would have expected. Not too shabby. First time ever ordering from the app. I started the process near Radio City while walking down 6th Ave. Arriving at the store, the salesperson advised me that the kiosk is located outside on the side of the property. I punched my code in and they brought out my order in about 2 minutes. That process saved me about 20 mins of waiting in line, based on the current crowd at the time. I must say, I was impressed. After waiting on line for about 10 minutes, I ordered a vegetarian wrap, waffle fries, and a lemonade. My meal came up to slightly under $12.50. I thought it was pricey but I knew my meal would be serious and satisfying. The fries were awesome or course my issues were the lemonade and my wrap. My wrap was mainly cheese and lettuce and very dry. Moreover, the lemonade was way too tarty. I am still hungry and will not be visiting Chick-fil-A again.
