This was probably the worst experience I have ever had with a fast food place. The prices are outrageous. First of all, getting two burger meals with fries and a very small drink (like kids sized drinks) for 40 bucks is insanity to me. I might as well go to a restaurant and get serviced. On top of that the Customer Service is not good. I tried to order the new burger special - which was a pimento cheeseburger and the guy told me that they did not have any more pimento cheese and proceeded to say, "I can replace the cheese with American cheese instead instead." Isn't that just a regular burger in that case? SMH. On top of all of this, the burger itself is so small for the price you pay for it. The top and bottom bun don't even seem to match in size! As someone who doesn't LOVE burgers, I can honestly say that I LOVE Shake Shack. There's something special about the burgers here. Maybe it's butter or something, but dang I savor every bite! The French fries are skippable, in my opinion. My mom and I shared a portion and that was good enough for me. I'd recommend trying their other sides, like the fried pickles (so tempting!). We had a terrible drive-thru experience and will not be returning. After waiting in silence at the speaker box for several minutes, we had to initiate the conversation just to give our name. The employee was completely disengaged, offering no confirmation questions or standard customer service. We then waited five minutes at the window just to receive our drinks, only for the staff to realize they forgot to ring up one of our burgers. In total, we spent 13 minutes waiting in line and had to pay separately for the missing item due to their mistake. Save your time and go elsewhere. It is a rainy day so a lot of people are using drive through. It was SLOW however taking a bit over 20 min. for the 4 cars in front of me to clear. The food was cold. I enjoyed their burger. . .its been a long time since I've had one and this one did not disappoint. As soon as we entered we were helped by an employee that wanted to explain the ordering process to us, which helped a lot. While i did enjoy the food, I don't know how I feel about the cheese fries. The cheese seems like the same nacho cheese from Sam's. Ew. There is plenty of space to sit and dine as well Since the establishment is fairly new, it's really clean too. I was excited that Shake Shack decided to open up in my area. So, we went to try them out. There was a pretty hectic energy when we arrived. But, our order was ready and service by the staff was efficient. It was pretty clean inside this spot. They also had two drive thru lanes, which reminded me a lot of Chick-fil-A. We saw on their website that they had a July BOGO deal for their milkshakes if you sign up on their Shake Shack app and order between 2-5 pm. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: Triple chocolate brownie shake: very chocolatey and lots of chocolate chips. Very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth and love chocolate, this is your jam. Cookies and Cream Shake: Love this! It was creamy and not too sweet. If you love Oreo cookies minus the very sweet filling, this drink is it. I would definitely order this again! Strawberry shake: It was pretty sweet, but it was creamy and had a nice strawberry flavor. Smoke shack: Delicious, but a bit salty from the cherry peppers. ShackBurger: Beefy and fresh. To be fair, I also ate the classic Smash Burger on the same night for comparison. Shake Shack has a good quality, aromatic beef patty and their potato bun is pillowy soft. But, man are their burgers small compared to Smash Burger. If you're really hungry, the ShackBurger would be like eating more of a snack. 'Shroom Burger: my sis said it was heavy for a mushroom burger. It was meaty because it was a portobello mushroom and the cheese was tasty. If you're a vegetarian, this would be a good option for you. My sis loves beef, so she'd rather eat the beef burger next time. Overall, Shake Shack is a great addition to the SL area. Sugar Land is infested with the big fast-food conglomerates, so to say that I was excited to see a Shake Shack developing in the area is a serious understatement. I went on opening day, and while they still have some minor kinks to work out, Shake Shack is easily the best fast-food burger joint in Sugar Land. We were able to score parking on opening day without any issues, but it was awesome to see that they also have a drive-through. You can order at the counter or self-service at a kiosk. The kiosk was convenient enough, but it would've probably been easier/faster to order at the counter with a cashier. An employee was watching really closely as I entered the order into the kiosk, which weirded me out a little. I'm guessing she was hovering in case I had any technical difficulties. Hopefully, they will pull back some once they get their footing. The food came out quickly despite the restaurant having just opened and being fairly busy. The burgers, cheese fries, and shakes were excellent - pretty consistent with what we've had at other Shake Shacks. My only qualm is that the burgers were underseasoned. Not a dealbreaker, but everyone at the table had the same complaint. Though this is a quick-service restaurant (self-service napkins, condiments, toss your own garbage, yada yada), the staff made rounds to check on tables. Dining in was a pleasure, which isn't something I could say at any of Sugar Land's other fast-food establishments. When I mentioned the mistake to the cashier they handed me a fountain soda and not the milkshake I ended up paying for. The fountain drinks are 3 dollars and the milkshake 6 so I feel like I should have ended up receiving both. Customer service isn't the best. The burger itself was decent,but I've had better and more enjoyable fast food burgers. Better cooked ones as well. The burger I received was a little undercooked. The portion sizes are small too. Also the ShackBurger sauce is just mayo mixed with something else so if you don't like mayo avoid ordering it. The fries. Nothing could save this meal, both the burger and the fries were lacking. This is my first time at shake shack and the service is excellent. Staff was very attentive and came frequently to ask my party if we needed anything. They have a drive-thru which is cool compared to other locations. Staff is nice and they got kiosks where you can do your order and take a number. Just make sure the menu matches what's on the Kiosk. Some items listed in the kiosk may not be available. I got the smokehouse burger and there was nothing really smoky about it. In terms of size, it was a glorified Jr Bacon Cheeseburger that you get at Wendy's. I got the Oreo Funnel Cake Shake and that was delicious. Burger wasn't bad, but overall for 17 bucks for two items....I'd probably go elsewhere next time. read more

It's one thing to not be pleasant to talk to during the drive thru interactions but if ur mean AND ur slow at giving out the food? Like what are we doing LOL. I was in the First Colony area over the weekend and saw Shake Shack. I never heard of it and was curious so I checked out the menu online and was convinced to try this Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger. I was very pleased !! This burger was very flavorful and juicy. It had the right balance of flavor. I also like that there is a self ordering kiosk where you can place your order and then find a seat so someone can bring your order to you. The only 2 downsides that I found is that the burgers are a little pricey...but worth it and that you have to purchase everything separately; no combos. This meal cost me $19. Next time, I must try the 'shroom burger but will skip the fries and bottled water. read more

I have been here a few times and waited to review to get past the opening. Each visit has had its issues. I have had burgers that are over done, near burnt and the opposite...so under cooked pink is a generous description. The fries are much the same. Spicy cheese fries are our favorite but more than once, they are out of cheese sauce. Lastly the drinks. Drink menu tells you what drinks they have but only labeled sizes in large or medium. A large is the equivalent of a solo cup. I guess a medium is 12oz? Maybe a Texas thing but come on. Service is also disappointing. Two drive thru lanes is great, but only once has the server ever been pleasant. They are usually lost, asking for the order to be repeated, repeating back what I didn't order, just not paying attention. Tonight the person double fisted both drink to me at once when I got to the window, never said anything. Maybe she was taking another order but it's just odd. Also, it's a horrible look, not very desirable to pull up to the first window next to piles of trash and garbage carts piled with trash. Very gross. Plus a few times when I get to the window I can see the inside kitchen is filled with smoke. Not to mention staff standing around or walking by eating or drinking. I've only been inside once. Very nice Interior. Overall, for the price, I just see no reason to go back, you never know what your gonna get. The whole experience is inconsistent from food to service and It seems like they aren't getting better, just getting by. Pretty bad when you want to stop for another drink on the way home. read more

I've been to numerous Shake Shacks and I really like their double cheeseburgers. Their food is a solid 4 stars but I had to give it to their employees this evening for their patience with customers. There was a group of people in front of us that were using coupons and had multiple ones. Ive worked in the hospitality industry long enough to recognize scams, their small talk diversions, and they were definitely trying to scam the girl at the register. She kept calm and after 15 minutes of the scam. It was finally over... for now. She went on to take my order with a smile like she wasn't rattled by what just happened. Thanks, Nor.
