I purposely waited to try the new location until they were open for a little bit and find a time where it wasn't looking too crowded, and glad I did because there was no line and short wait for food to come out. We ordered on the kiosk and sat inside on a Saturday night - most tables were taken at this time. We got the spicy cheese fries and a coffee milkshake and I thought both were delicious! I could eat those fries forever and will probably be back for them again soon. The shake was also yummy and nice n thick! Average pricing but sizing on a bit of the smaller size. This was all I could try since most the menu shows allergies. I do appreciate they list this out online and make it very clear so there is no confusion. Tried shake shack for the first time and it lived up to the hype! The burger was well cooked and very flavorful and filling. The shake was creamy and I loved the flavor. They had lots of great sounding options, but I ended up trying the strawberry chocolate which was amazing. The food was ready within 5 minutes of ordering. Staff was friendly and helpful. New place in town, wanted to try it as gf and I are big burgers and shakes people. $46.89 for a smokestack burger, avocado burger, lemonade with boba,Oreo funnel milkshake and garlic parm fries. The burgers were good I enjoyed it honestly. Nice greasy burger loved it. Lemonade was ok but they had no boba so they gave me a custard instead which I greatly enjoyed , the Oreo funnel milkshake was gritty unfortunately and had too much Oreo or something. The garlic parm fries had no garlic parm flavor unfortunately. I'd return for a burger and custard and that's about it. I'm glad I tried it however. The service was fast and friendly and I hope they do well but outside a burger it's not for me. read more

Unfortunately disappointed with my experience at the new Shake Shack tonight. After a great dinner, we decided to head over with our group for a milkshake. We each ordered one through the kiosks, which were pretty easy to use. We did two separate ordered with a couple shakes in each order. Total was $14ish for two. An employee brought half of the group's shakes and employees were consistently bringing orders to tables. After 30 minutes, I decided to get up and ask if they knew where my shake was. At this point I had already gone up to the counter to try to get someone's attention with no success, so I went to the register line. It was very busy when we first got there so I was patient, but 15 minutes after everyone else had already gotten theirs, I thought there might have been a mixup. The staff were working hard, no doubt, but they really did not seem to know what to do. At this point I didn't really want the shake anymore, haha. For $14 and the quality of the shake, I would not wait thirty minutes again. The shake was fine, not anything extraordinary. I cannot speak to the food as we didn't order any. Did you ever want something so bad, and then when you could have it all the time, you decided it was totally mid? Well, the good news is Shake Shack is brand new to the 'cuse, so the honeymoon is in full swing for me. I snagged a soft launch Shake Shack shakedown invite the night prior to the official opening. Things were humming along, and I've never seen soooo many assistant managers in branded puffer vests in one place -kind of looked like a managerial migration gathering. If Shake Shack is new to you, the burgers are the star. Me, I love the Smoke Shack, because (of course) bacon makes everything better, and there's just enough chopped hot peppers to make it interesting. Never a huge fan of crinkle fries, but they'll bury it under cheese sauce for you, so go ahead, life is short :-) Self-service order kiosks, and a ton of runners sending orders out. I don't know if this will be how it runs every day, but props for efficiency. read more

This location recently opened, so I had to give it a try. The wait was about 10 minutes outside and around 30 minutes after ordering through the kiosk. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating available. I ordered a SmokeShack burger with parmesan fries -- both were hot and fresh. The burger was flavorful, and the fries were delicious, especially with the Shack sauce. Overall, a great first visit and worth checking out! read more

The online ordering does now function, but setting a time seems ineffective if they are busy. With an online order for 5:45pm, it was marked as ready more than 20 minutes before it actually was ready. I stopped and finally went there. It was 9pm and I had to order and pay at a kiosk. I didn't like that a fast-food place automatically placed a 10% tip to the order that you have you remove. It wasn't busy, but I still had to wait for 10-15 minutes. All I ordered was the Smoke Shack (2 patties burger) and a chocolate shake. My total for the 2 items was $19.20. The burger was about $12 and the shake is $6. The burger is good quality with some char, and the chocolate shake was very good as well. With tinny pieces of chocolate in it. The shake is the about the size of a medium drink. To me the burger was too expensive. The shake was very good but not worth the wait. For less I could have went to the road sat down and ate at Chilis getting the Smash Burger meal for $12.99. That is a bigger burger and comes with fries. Plus, you get an appetizer such as the unlimited chips and salsa. Along with free drinks, I like the blackberry tea. read more

Ordering online is pointless, still waited a long time for my order. I saw my shake sitting on the shelf for 15 minutes. Not happy about it. Staff is great! Takes a very long time to get your order. Problem is that drinks/shakes sit out for a while before you get the order as do the fries at times. Had this experience in CA as well. Shakes are small for the price. Burger is good! Not sure worth the price though. More of an In-N-Out Burger person myself, though none on this side of the states. App not up or working yet. First visit to this particular Shake Shack. Ordered dine in for myself at the in store kiosks. Ordered a simple chicken sandwich with order of onion rings and large soda. Food brought to me in about 8 min. There were no napkins brought to me along with my order. Trust me you need napkins to wipe your hands from the sauce from the sandwiches. I personally thought for $17 the quality of the food was so so. 5 out of 10. My sandwich was luke warm, for a large order of onion rings I counted 6, and my soda was fa bit flat. The menu items seemed over priced for the quality and quantity offered. As I was eating I couldn't help to look at a family of 4 next to me and thinking that they must have. spent at least $65-$80 for their entire order. I've visited other Shake Shacks in Boston and NY City and found these locations were more up beat once you walked in and that the food presented was better prepared. Over all, with a Chick File across the street from this Shake Shack, I will find myself going to the competition for a better chicken sandwich, sides and fresh beverage for about the same price. read more

While their food is good, their ordering process is ridiculous. They had one kiosk open on a Saturday night so people had to wait outside in line to order. I know for a fact that they can open more kiosks because I saw a manager open another one last week. They work fine, the restaurant just chooses to keep only one open. there were two little two-year-old girls waiting outside freezing cold because of this. you can't even order online for pick up so you're forced to stand in line if you want to eat there. done with this place. read more

Last week, I endured what seems to be the ever present line out the door at Shake Shake and I can confidently say, it was worth the wait and overall, such a lovely addition to the Syracuse area. The wait (~2:15 on a Tuesday) to order was not long, but could've been expedited with the staff informing customers that 3 electronic ordering machines are available for use in addition to the front counter. However the staff manning the line was helpful when I asked how to enter the promo code on the machine (BOGO for select items all October!). After ordering, I waited about ~20-25 minutes for my food but it was evident the staff was working non stop. As always, flavors did not disappoint! I came home happy with my BOGO Chicken Stack, regular fried, and Banana Pudding Shake. I'll look forward to when things (hopefully?) calm down and I can use my app discounts, but until then, you'll find me in the line again soon. read more

Wanted to try the new place, how disappointing. Being our first time we weren't really sure how this ordering system worked. As we waited I noticed my coat and the table were getting wet just sitting there. Discovered there was a leak in the ceiling and it was dripping on me. We told a staff member and she said "yeah we know". We moved and kept warning others to not sit there. When we got our food we couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was disgusting, as to where we didn't finish our food. The shakes were terribly artificial tasting and small. I didn't get a straw, no big deal, but I went to the counter and no one would acknowledge me. Finally found someone who grunted and gave me one. For these prices we expected so much more. My prediction is this place will not be around in the near future. Staff were miserable, prices were beyond reasonable and tables were dirty. I know my family will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I was looking forward to trying this for the first time, and I was super disappointed! The line was pretty much out the door, and you had to order everything from the kiosk because there were no employees at the front registers. Older people were having a hard time understanding the kiosk, so the line became super long. When I finally got up to being able to order, I couldn't believe that one burger and one shake came to $21, that's insane! Now the food, the burgers are super small, about the size of a junior Baconator from Wendy's. I ended up ordering the onion soup burger, and the entire time I'm eating it I'm finding all kinds of little fat pieces in the burger that I kept having to pick out. it was just a giant sloppy mess, from the slop of onions on top of my meat, and barely having any sauce, I found it hard to eat. I ordered the holiday milkshake, which was the sticky toffee pudding, and all I can say for that was...yuck! I don't know if it was the crap load of little cookie bits that gave it a really weird flavor, or if it was the shake itself, but I guarantee you if you try this it will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
