The restaurant is bright, clean and inviting. I've been eating at Gansett Wraps for years and somehow I've only ever ordered one thing because it's that good: The Athina with chicken. The balance of ingredients is always perfect and I love the crunchy vegetables paired with hummus and balsamic. I never leave without an order of falafel and hummus, too. My first visit to this location included a small order mix-up, but the staff was friendly, helpful and quick to make it right. Customer service like that goes a long way in my book. As someone who eats gluten free, I appreciate having a wrap option that actually tastes great and is large enough for two meals. Thank you for being a reliable go-to lunch stop. Something told me to open it before taking a bite--and thank God I did. To my absolute horror, there was a crispy dead fly inside my burger, right on the bacon. I have never been so grossed out in my entire life. The fact that a bug made it into my food raises serious questions about cleanliness and food safety at this location. I ended up throwing up in the parking lot from how sick it made me feel. Now I can't stop wondering how many other burgers I've eaten here in the past might've had something in them. My advice to everyone: check your food before eating it. This experience was completely unacceptable and has turned me off from ever eating at Wendy's again unless they address this issue seriously.
