Honestly one of my must go to restaurants when I visit State College. 1) Service is amazing. The guy is so friendly, will help you with your order/figure out what's best for you, and is so speedy it's actually insane. 2) The portions are huge. Where in 2021 can you feed two people (and get cokes) for less then ten bucks and still have leftovers??? It's amazing. Side note: I did try to do two orders and came nowhere close to finishing it hahah so come with a friend or be prepared to have leftovers. 3) THE FOOD. It's amazing. I always get the lamb over rice with the white and red sauce (red is spicy cause I like a little kick). It's phenomenal the rice is cooked to perfection, the lettuce they have is always crisp, and the lamb is always tender and tastes phenomenal. 10/10 you have to go. read more

Wow. I'm not from the area. I would ho out of my way to get this again. I got a falafel combo w/ lamb. They also offer chicken. This is only $10! And it packs a punch! Fresh good at its finest. Pretty good. Not halal guys good but its the closet thing round here. I got the rice platter half chicken and half beef. The beef was def better, but the chicken isnt too shabby as well. The sauce is really good as well. Get tahini and spicy sauce if u like spicy. The plate cost me ten bux with tip so I think it was about 9 bux. Absolutely the best Halal, make sure you get the red and the white sauce! I wish they had a better location that was easier to get to for non-students who arent walking, but I guess you could park in the parking garage. It's cold out there in the winter! We read lots of reviews and watched vids about a Halal place in NYC. We went, waited in line for ages, were disappointed. Today, for the first time, we tried this food (truck?) that's been in our town for ages. We parked in Pugh St garage, for less than 30 min is free! Well, this place had EPIC fried chicken and rice! The sauce was exactly the right flavor, the lettuce could have been shredded but that's no big thing. They said falafel would take half an hour. Next time I'll call ahead. This place is TOTALLY WORTH the fact that you need to park at a meter and walk or in the garage. Just enough curry flavor, but not overwhelming, hot chicken, yummy rice, fantastic! From my pic you can't tell, but lots of rice under that chicken! I don't know why people complain about prices...way more meat than in NYC, $8 just like New York, plus a free Pepsi or water here?! That woman served a line of 10 drunk kids who wanted nothing more on this earth than some delicious Mediterranean food, and that it was. I'm not sure if this is the same cart I went to tonight, but I went to the one across the street from Sheetz. Even though it had just closed, the guy was super sweet and also gave me a ton of really amazing lamb in my gyro! I let my mom try some and she normally hates lamb but she loved it and came back for seconds and thirds! Definitely check this guy out-- some seriously awesome food!! My family had gone to sheetz for snacks and I wasn't in the mood to give my money to some big corporation. So glad I took the risk :) read more

This guy wouldn't open up until I finally called at noon (yelp says 11). I get that it's slower in the summer but was really disappointed it took so long for him to open cause I love halal food carts and this was the only one I could find in the area. Philly halal carts are much better tasting and cheaper so I wouldn't recommend. read more
