I ordered pick up from shakey's for dinner. When I got home I opened the box of mojos and the chicken was underneath. It looked as they where trying to hide the chicken. As you can see in the picture it was not good at all! It must have been there for hrs and than re-fried to warm it up. Horrible experience!! Pizza, chicken, and potatoes. You'd think it would be a fast and easy meal, but apparently not. It's been an hour and still waiting for my food. Organization is poor, hygiene is poor, customer service is poor! Fountain drink has ice piled under it since I got here, floor is very sticky. I watched them clean a table next to me and just wiped all the crumbs on the floor. Why put on gloves to just touch your face and hair and then touch the food??? Worst outing ever! read more

As one of my favorite pizza parlors that I go to in Carson I'm very disappointed in the customer service. On Saturday night around 9:50pm I walked in shakeys "Carson " and what told machines were already turned off and they were closed .. which is understandable.. what my issue is was the laughing and giggling behind the counter!! Door was still unlocked and the open sign was still on . I really didn't appreciate the customer service and honestly I may not be returning to this location due to the disappointing acts that were made. read more

On Tuesdays the service is horrible. We had to leave without eating or drinking anything. So pissed. A female hostess eating in the main dining room. A male server was sitting in the bar area, on his phone and not helping the staff or the customers just in the way of where drinks are being served. Overall my experience today 5/23/23 was horrible and has made such a bad impression and made my teeth itch that I will not return to this location. Also they do not have beets on their salad bar, WTH. The only thing that this restaurant was good for today was the good music and a quiet atmosphere. I am glad to see and know that some things don't change since returning home to Los Angeles from Arlington Tx while attending to my Mother's passing and home going services. Growing up in Carson and coming to this Shakey's and seeing it as I remember when I was a kid was awesome...busy atmosphere...families with kids or little league teams celebrating a win together, parents and friends together over pitchers of beer looking at sports on multiple screens...lively vibe...and the PCM as it's called now (Pizza, Chicken & Mojo's) still tasting like Shakey's. FULL TRANSPARENCY! The pricing of the food to order is something I wasn't to happy about, where now everything is priced out separately (where in the past chicken/mojos came together) but I get it...these times today, pricing and cost are not going to remain the same as when I was little. So my wife (who grew up eating and enjoying the Shakey's she grew up eating at the Inglewood Ca location) and I always make this a "MUST EAT" stop whenever we are here in California before leaving, and the initial experience didn't start off well (pizza ordered was not hot or not as what we ordered), PCM was lukewarm...like it had been sitting, and my wife was disappointed (seeing we forked out over $40 bucks for PCM). I went to the manager Mayet, who apologized and IMMEDIATELY took ownership of the situation, stating that the Shakey's experience was not what it was supposed to be and immediately got to work on our order, advised it would take about 17 minutes to remake the order, and delivered every item as soon as it came out. But she truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND by replacing my Chicken and Mojos with double the amount/size we had ordered! I didn't request or expect that, but this really impacted our dining experience, to the point where before leaving I asked for Mayet to come to our table, so my wife and I could express to her our surprise (this is OUR order?) when the food came, but more importantly say THANK YOU MAYET for her ability to hear our concern and exceed our expectations in making sure our dining experience was great. she stated "it's not a problem and is my pleasure to make sure you have the great Shakey's dining experience" I had to share this experience on Yelp, because when real customer experiences happen that are great and exceptional it must be shared...Kudos to Mayet and Shakey's for "getting it right" in hiring her as a manager and LEADER in your organization. I ordered food yesterday, and the Mojos were so delicious!! I always love their delicious Mojos that I need to get a large order (which comes in a cute little box). I been here a few times, and I usually dine in. I love getting the buffet salad with my pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't even consider the salad bar since my order was to go. I ordered a large cheese pizza with the regular crust. The pizza was pretty delicious. Unfortunately for my gf, I didn't not ask for their special crust.. so I ruined her meal. For me, all the food was great but I was bummed to not get my ranch that I requested during my phone order. I sent my gf for the food so it was her fault too for not checking. We have dined in numerous times at this location with no issues but tonight we tried take out. We ordered a large PCM with a $5.99 medium Pizza. The Medium Pineapple Pizza was fine and the Chicken taste great as always but the Large Pizza had Hot Sausage instead of Pepperoni and the Mojos were soft not crisp (undercooked?). When I was still in my mom's belly--she was always craving for Shakeys Pizza, especially the good ol thin crust Managers Choice (or the US version of shakeys special WITH GREEN PEPPER). This is the reason SHAKEYS PIZZA IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE! We had dinner here today and no surprise - we enjoyed it and had our bellies full of pizza, chicken (crunchy and very very veeeeery juicy) and mojos. I'm surprised i didn't write a review on this one I used to always come here for my lunch break for the buffet which was well worth it. Today I called my pizza order in. So of course they gave me it will take 20 mins routine. So i actually get there 25 mins later and my pizza wasn't done the place is always packed at lunch time during the week i would not go there during the times of 11:15am to 1:00pm sometimes the line goes out the door but anyways today this review is all about customer service which sucked two people making the pizza and stuff were acting irritated towards the cashier and manager saying they can only do so much you should know its the lunch crowd and the pizzas are going fast so anyways when it comes to the service they are under par but im sure its much better after or before the lunch hours. Came for lunch buffet hours with my mom. $9.99/person for buffet, drinks are additional. Brought back so much nostalgia for her, so it was worth the visit. Unlimited pizza, chicken (baked and fried), pasta, salad, mojo potatoes, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies. Pizza was okay - they brought out different types now and then. I liked the smores dessert pizza . The mojo potatoes were my favorite item. This place caters to families with little kids because there is a gaming area in the back. Also, if you're a broke college student, or someone who wants to fill the hunger void for an easy price, the lunch buffet is a pretty good deal for you. read more

I can't understand why Shakey's pizza is so expensive. But...I love the thin crust and pizza sauce. This Shakey's has been in business forever. They are supportive for fundraising purposes. I'm also glad they finally have online ordering. Customer service is much better now that there's a diverse staff!!!! Cons: Mojo potatoes don't have the same crispy, thick batter. Ordering over the phone takes a ridiculous amount of time. Orders online still has a 40 minutes wait time. It's time to move to a larger building with more parking! read more
