I yelped around some places and found a Chinese buffet. Buffets are good cause everybody gets to choose what they want and there's enough choices to keep everybody happy. Heck, these Chinese buffets even have American food like ribs, pizza and French fries. This place, China Buffet, not the most imaginative name, is pretty decent sized and seems to have a lot more choices than the small town buffets I've seen. More of the more authentic Chineasy stuff that I have no idea what it is, but there's plenty of choices of familiar stuff to keep us all fed, like hot and sour soup, all kinds of noodles and egg rolls and ribs and veggies. Service was the normal Asian buffet service, not friendly, just efficient at filling drinks and clearing the plates. The prices here in SoCal seem a little higher than Nor Cal, but I think you do get a better buffet here.

The decor and ambiance was comfortably warm, pleasant and welcoming with the carpeted dining area and nice wall art. Service was just as warm and friendly. I loved a wide selection of food to sample. The seafood dishes weren't as tasty as the dishes at my favorite seafood buffet in Murrieta, CA, but it was satisfactory. The had freshly grilled chicken, meat, fish, and calamari in the back. Dinner price for AYCE was a mere $24.99 on a Friday and $2.35 for a soda w/ free refills. Can't go wrong with so many options to sample and choose from. Highly recommend!

Jesus where to begin; this place is filthy, the tables have food on them, the floor is disgusting and sticky and the whole mood is just sad. I work near this "restaurant" so when I don't feel like driving for good food I walk here. I wait in line and then order the lunch buffet. I can't help but feel like I'm in school what with the bland tastless pizza and GROSS baked chicken marinating in it's own grease and fat, YUCK! The mashed potatoes tasted metallic and burnt. Everything in the salad bar is withered and soggy. And there's dirty tables EVERYWHERE you look to the left chicken bones and mashed potatoes, look to the right chicken bones and mashed potatoes, WHO WANTS TO EAT NEAR THIS IT'S DISGUSTING AND EMBARRASSING!!! The only good coming from this place is that it inspired me to join yelp. See I was talking to a friend of mine and mentioned that I ate here prior to seeing him, his face turned gray and he said "DON"T EVER EAT THERE!" Apparently he worked here before and witnessed SOOO MANY HEALTH and HYGIENE HAZARDS it'll make your skin crawl! Had a taste for some mojos and pizza today. I went in today around 2:55pm, Kayla was the person who to our order. She provided good Customer Service, as she patientlywaited while my daughterfigured out what topping she wanted. My daughter had a coupon she got from school. She ordered her pizza and I ordered the medium pizza with mojos. I waited about 20mins for our food. I got home and was soooo disappointed with Shakeys. My supposed to be mojos didn't have no potatoes inside, crust fried crust. It was like eating potatoes chips... sad when your expecting to eat a mojo potatoes and you take a bite and nothings inside. Lastly, the thin crust pizza I ordered, not good at all. Burnt and warm, not even fresh and hot. It wasn't even crowded, so I don't understand what went wrong. I was visiting my brother today, as I had been having cravings for Shakey's pizza, fried chicken and my favorite mojos. So I took him out to eat at Shakey's in Carson, as I always enjoy the lunch Buffet and the service was great. As there was one employee Matilde Robel, who was going around picking up plates when the customers were done eating and asking us if we wanted a clean plate to grab more food. Well it was a buffet, and eating my next meal with a clean plate. That is what I call GREAT servicer by Matilde Robel, this was the first time I encountered this type of service by a Shakey's employee. Coming back to Shakey's Pizza Parlor after all these years was such a nostalgic and heartwarming experience. I used to come here as a kid, and now being able to bring my own children was truly special. The updated arcade was a big hit--not only was it fun and modern, but the prize selection was great too, which kept the kids happy and excited. The service was impressively fast, and the food was just as perfect as I remembered. Everything from the pizza to the atmosphere reminded me why I loved coming here in the first place. My husband, kids, and I visited Shakey's Pizza Parlor in Carson to watch the USA Soccer game, and we had an amazing experience. As first-time visitors, we were impressed not only by the food and atmosphere but especially by the outstanding customer service. Manager Milton and employee Alonzo went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of, regularly checking in on us, asking how we were doing, and making sure we had everything we needed, including extra sauces and to-go boxes. Wow amazing service by Odessa today! Management, please take note of that! She checked on us before the food came and offered assistance. Food came out was delicious. Odessa kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything else and we felt welcomed the whole time. The restaurant was very clean and everyone seemed to have a good time. Oct 24, 2017 Do not order wings from here go across the street to Wild Bill's! Okay, at the lunch buffet they actually have whole wings maybe 2 or 3 not many? So I order 6 wings as listed on menu. What I got for over $6.00 was a winget you know how they chop a wing into 3 pcs.? So what I got was a 1/3 of a wing at a $1.00 ea? Excellent customer service from every single employee, they were all attentive to your every need . I've been coming to this shakeys since I was a kid and now I have the pleasure to bring my kids. my kids and wife enjoyed the food the games , overall a great experience. One thing that stood out was cleanliness, there was always an employee cleaning the tables and the games . That's awesome especially in these covid days . Shakey's Pizza (Carson Location) never disappoints! The pizza is always hot, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I love the perfect balance of crispy crust, tasty sauce, and fresh toppings. My wife and I are vegans and we rarely eat out. We tried the veggie lover's pizza at Shakey's and fell in love with it. Now, we go 1 or 2 times a week. Mr. Evelio Gonzalez, the manager, goes out of his way to make each customer feel welcomed and comfortable. Visited the shakeys in Carson and I can say confidently it is the best location compared the Downey and Huntington. The staff is very friendly especially Claudia. I still gave 5 stars for the great customer service that was provided when the gal took the order and gave the order. She was very nice. The place was empty. One person cut in line and completely drove right to the window which caused us to wait longer. But it's okay. Area is safe. Clean on the outside. 4 stars just because I did pay for extra and didn't get it. Customer service was definitely a 5/5. The gal was really nice, smiled and did give moodiness. This is appreciated always
