I joined my friend on his work trip. After checking into our nearby hotel, we looked for a place to grab dinner. We stopped by Shakey's about 30 minutes before closing. We appreciated that the staff welcomed us and let us dine in. That kind of hospitality matters. We ordered a large veggie pizza and the Chocolate Chunk Cookie for dessert. The pizza arrived hot, fresh, and well baked. The toppings were generous, the cheese melted just right, and the crust had a nice texture. The staff also brought us cheese and chili flakes, which complemented the pizza and added a nice touch to the meal. The sitting area is large and clean which makes it perfect for large parties. We spent time catching up over dinner and enjoyed every bite. As it got closer to closing time, we packed up the leftover pizza and took the cookie back to our hotel. Later that evening, we enjoyed the warm, gooey Chocolate Chunk Cookie with a glass of milk. It was a perfect way to end the night. It was soft, loaded with chocolate, and made for an excellent dessert after a great meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly even though we arrived near closing, and everything exceeded our expectations. My family loves to come here when we need to have a filling brunch! Shakey's offers a great all-you-can-eat deal for their pizzas, sides, salads, and drinks. This spot has managed the rush of the brunch hours well and for some extra things like sauces on the side, you just need to ask one of the staff and they will get one for you. Once the pizzas are out on the counter, people will line up for them and pretty much grab them all before the counter empties out! Lol. This is a good spot for watching any sports and hanging out with the family or with a group of people. You are free to choose what you'd like, and they give you plenty of plates to fill up on too. I like that the staff are very nice about extra plates and they are also very efficient at cleaning up tables right away. The bathrooms are always fine. Definitely a good day to spend a morning/early afternoon at. Plenty of parking at the large lot shared with other businesses. read more

There were three of us and we had not been to a Shakey's restaurant in many years. We incredibly surprised by the delicious and moist fried chicken, and we all enjoyed our meal quite thoroughly. The highlight of our meal a visit from Halima, whose cheerful disposition brightened our day. We will be moving soon, but maybe we will return before that time. read more

Went there on a Saturday for brunch. We orders two all you can eat buffets and a salad. So many dirty tables while the heavier set girl was talking. She was extremely rude. When the buffet was about to close instead of putting food away to donate or give to other paying customers, they threw it all in the trash. I was surprised how much food was in that big trash can. So sad to know that so many people are starving and all that food is being wasted. I asked if they would be willing to give us the food so we could go and take it to a homeless group, but they said that we would have to pay for it so kind of makes sense but if they're throwing it away in the trash anyways you should've just had a heart to do that for someone. This is so wrong price so they could afford more food to sell us and then for them to throw away the leftovers. I'm surprised they wouldn't even offer it to their employees. Normally even a bad pizza in my opinion is like a 6-7/10 but this was INEDIBLE! it smelled sour and rotton, and the sauce was bitter and moldy tasting. One bite and I had to spit it out, everyone who tried it with me said the same thing! The mojos were fine, basically air fried potatos that tasted kind of bland but still edible unlike the pizza! What can one say but simply that Shakey's is iconic and the original of the pizza parlors! Its is not gourmet in any sense of your imagination, but it's delicious! The iconic buffet with the Mojo potatoes, classic fried chicken and the other typical buffet foods like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, rice and more. The pizza varieties are many and there are pizzas for every taste. Cheese, pepperoni, sausage and veggies! The only thing that I do not like is that they serve Pepsi products which I do not care for. Had Shakey's on 9/21/2025. Ordered the PCM combo with the 2 Large pizzas. Only issue is that the Large looks like the medium is size now. Pizza size use to be 17" now it's a 15" on the short size. Other than the smaller portion the food was good. Shakey's is not the same how it was in the 90's, good old days. read more

It's been years since I've visited a Shakey's. They used to be located all over the Sacramento valley and Bay Area. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore. I remember visiting with my parents at lunch time when there was no school for their "Bunch of Lunch," buffet that included salad, pizza, fried chicken, and what I remember as being the most delicious MoJo Potatoes! Back in the day, spaghetti was on the buffet line, too. There are some nostalgic signs hanging on the walls along with a painting of the old original Shakey's sign and logo, that brings those memories rushing back... Nowadays, the pasta is along the lines of a penne, and they also offer mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and mixed veggies. There's no bar anymore where pitchers and mugs of beer are served alongside soda pop. Instead there's a beverage station with a selection of Pepsi products. The cashier was working quickly and efficiently. The bussers were clearing tables and wiping them down regularly. And, the kitchen crew was keeping a good supply and variety of pizza on the line. They were also keeping up on all the other foods. Overall, it was a good visit and a good meal. My memory of the Mojos though is that they were way better back in the 1970's. But maybe that's just my mind playing tricks on me. read more

Just left Shakey's feeling very angry for the new hire Amiyah she had no help from the 6+ shakey's staff members whom walked around shakey's doing nothing. Our food was drastically cold she was sent to the back several times in which she came back in tears. I only have one thing left to say Shakeys do better. Your staff should NOT be crying on the job because your training is sub par there is no excuse and I will not support this. read more
