Haven't been to a Shakey's in years, as I was driving through Temecula I noticed this location was still open and decided to come in. They have buffet lunch on the weekends, everything was fully stocked and warm. The chicken and Mojos were crispy and not soggy, not what you would expect from a buffet. The staff were all super nice, friendly and attentive. Someone had swapped the handles for the Caesar and Blue Cheese, I told the worker and he immediately had it addressed and corrected so it wouldn't happen to others. I can't really complain because I came for the all you can eat lunch: pizza, hot bar, and salad bar which was reasonably priced. I had a few slices of pizza and they were alright, the crust was a bit bland. There were many pizza choices though. The pasta was decent. Mac and cheese wasn't too cheesy. The rotisserie chicken and fried chicken were majorly over salted. Those would have been great had less salt been used. Decent sized dining area. There's a little arcade room in the restaurant. Growing up we'd get Shakey's pizza when we wanted mojos on the side! We ordered the Pizza, chicken and mojos combo, an individual cheese pizza, the unlimited salad bar, a beer and 2 kids milks for about $97. The service was great because there was no one in line when we arrived. The staff member was patient with us as we selected our food items. Then the food was brought to us as it was getting made so it was nice and warm. The mojos are just how I remembered them, hella good! The croutons were low, but I notified an employee and he quickly went to refill them and then politely let me know it was ready for me. A few staff members stopped by our table to check on our meal which was nice. Throughout our meal staff came to remove used dishes and to ask if we needed anything and to offer take out boxes. Nice touch! The vibe was great. There were TVs mounted on the walls with sports games playing. Several families were enjoying themselves. There was a fun zone area as well. Pizza was cold and had obviously been sitting out for a while. The reason for the one star is a couple brought their dog (no sign of a service dog vest) through the restaurant and proceeded to feed the dog from the table. I know the workers saw the dog because he was less than 10 feet away vaping and another worker came by to the table with the dog to drop off a fried chicken breast. If you're looking for a pizza place where you can take your pet and vape at your table, then this is the place for you. To start off, Dawn and well honestly, ALL staff is super friendly. The establishment is well taken care of and clean. The food is really good, my favorite is the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. I tried the meatballs today, which they just added to the menu. They were delicious! I travel to San Diego from Riverside for work. Every week I stop by for the bunch of lunch because not only is it great tasting food but it makes it much more enjoyable with the friendly and welcoming staff. We made a reservation for a large party to celebrate my son's birthday over the summer. Being on a Saturday during the lunch rush we were a little nervous that it might be crazy but we had a large table reserved and ready upon our arrival and the staff was amazing and attentive. They continuously cleaned up after us as we went back and forth to the buffet and made sure we had everything we needed. We were even able to bring in our own birthday cake without any issues.
