I love their fries super crispy but soft on the inside and the Cajun seasoning is the perfect amount. I ordered snow crabs and shrimp in the Barlic sauce medium and a side of Mac. The sauce was good but I kinda wanted a more garlicky flavor but still good. The Mac was alright def creamy but it needed more flavor. My daughter order the garlic noodle which were good but alittle too salty. The seafood was good and the atmosphere was great. They played great music while you eat. definitely the cheapest seafood boil place ive been to in nyc but sadly taste was also prob worse than any other seafood boil ive had in nyc. we got 2 lbs of the head-on shrimp which weren't the freshest and seasoning was ok. the garlic noodles were super salty and were soaked in soy sauce which i dont think im a fan of. also got their flavored lemonades which were only $2.50 but werent mixed so first sip was just flavored syrup. service was great but food kinda dissapointing. also pretty empty inside compared to other spots. read more

We've ordered delivery from this place several times, and it's consistently good. Their easy-peel shrimp lives up to its name for it's really effortless to peel. Their snow crab legs meet expectations. Dungeness crab was wasn't our favorite, for the meat itself was a bit salty. The crispy wings come with a choice of sauce on the side, which I appreciate since I prefer undressed wings. The side bread is served as a lobster roll style sliced bread, which pairs nicely with the meal. We typically alternate between this spot and Aquaboil across the street, but when Shaking Crab offers their BOGO deal, it's hard to resist! read more

It was my first time eating seafood boil and I really enjoyed how casual this place is. The pricing is alright but a little expensive. The restaurant is very basic but they do have a bathroom. If you run warm I would avoid this place on hot days are the restaurant is pretty warm and the fans don't do much. The food itself was pretty good, the sauce is definitely not spicy at all even though I got the spicy. The shrimp itself was really good quality and I enjoyed it. We came here after a semi-disappointing experience at Aqua Boil, so we ordered a similar meal to compare with. The three of us got the combo that came with shrimps, mussels, and crawfish, as recommended by TuTu, given it was our dinner part 2. We were offered cajun fries on the house and the house sauce on the side to try without us asking. The friendly gesture by TuTu was much appreciated. The staff here is the most attentive, kind and loving team I have ever been served by. The food is consistently good and you are not kept waiting to be served like other restaurants in the city. It was not a good experience. Overpriced for what they offer. I had a pound of snow crab legs for $35.00. Absolutely no meat inside, thin like sticks and overly drenched in butter sauce. One of the waiters gave us a complimentary drink, served with four straws. Never said what it was, just that it was complimentary. The problem is...it was an alcohol beverage AND there were two teenagers at the table who immediately began sipping away.!!Now they think mom allows them to drink alcohol ...SMDH!! We had trouble getting the meat out of the crab but once we asked for the tool and figured it out it was better. The waiter was nice and made a mistake with the order and gave me a drink on the house which and let me keep the wrong order that was delivered. I had Shaking Crab in Flushing and have been craving for it ever since. I'm glad they opened up a bunch of new locations in the NY/NJ area. I'm temporarily staying in HK due to work. I was excited to see that they had a HK location which is now open during COVID-19. I ordered the twin lobster tails/shrimp combo with sausages and quail eggs. The Envie sauce at the Flushing location was so bangiiiinnnn that my friends wished they had ordered the sauce.. So that's what I ordered here. The Envie sauce is a cilantro lime sauce. Time to dig in!! Put my bib and my gloves on.. Shakey shakey shakey!! I ate a quail egg and instead of saying "Mmm", I said "WTF?!" The sauce was literally butter, garlic, and cilantro. Oooohhh, The craving is real! So I've frequented their UWS location a few times and every dining experience better than the previous one. When COVID19 hit, it was actually a rough few months with no seafood restaurants in Manhattan available for food boils. So, when I was aware of Shaking Crab's HK location allowing takeout and outdoor dining, I was ecstatic. My Wife live in the area so we walked over to finally get our seafood fix... lol & we were not disappointed. The outdoor tables were occupied of course and nicely positioned on the sidewalk while there was one single one indoors. There was a long table setup just a few feet from the entrance where you can order and pay for your food which is what we did. There's a seating area with just two other waited a short while before receiving their food and leaving so for the most part, it was safe. The employees were wearing mask and everything was handles with precautions. We ordered our food, waited about 15 Mins tops and headed back home. Then, had the best dinner that evening!
