Bit of a hole in the wall place. They have around 80 beers on tap but many of the ones we wanted to try were not working or they were out of. This place is also a little tricky to find as it is tucked away behind some buildings. No thrills here which is what perplexes me about the menu prices. There's no way the quality of food can justify the price point. I did end up trying the spicy cheese curds. They were good, but again prices people. Service was great however. Keep an eye on their daily specials and go during those times. read more

A large group of us were visiting from Buffalo and this was our first Florida meal after arriving. A cute little dive bar with a ton of drinks on tap! The food was pretty good! I don't remember our servers name, but she was also great too! She was friendly, joked around with our group, and was very accommodating and attentive. Heard about this place yesterday, so we tried it yesterday. We heard they have the best wings in the area. We ordered 24 Buffalo Medium Wings to go for lunch. We went again last week. Wasn't busy, 5 tables, 25 minutes for drinks and 1.5 hours (yes hours) for pizza and a sandwich for 4 people. We shouldn't have stayed that long but our friend was craving their pizza. Lol we said we were leaving and then the food came out, waitress said oh well we only have like 2 workers today. Why even be open or at least maybe tell patrons the expectation. We are locals and would Love to visit here more as the food is actually good, but will not be back. 3 times is enough. read more

Ordered for pick up a shrimp basket and they were so small all you tasted was breading. My son ordered 6 wings mild and 6 parm. He asked me to try them because they tasted funny. Great little spot in Shalimar. Tucked behind an office bldg. Went there for wings & a beer. Wings were really good, crispy & hot. Our server & bartender was awesome, ask for Drew. He let us taste different beers on tap & was very personable. Food came out quick & hot. It's name is aptly correct. You fly on a plane with a bunch of military boys n galz, you get to your hotel and your lovely taxi driver mentions that "Cheers" is right next door and people seem to talk about the wings, what do you do? That's it? You say? Well no actually I got a side of FUNKY MONKEY sauce and it is AMAZING! A mixture of teriyaki/garlic and red pepper flakes added some amazing layers of flavor to my thick potato skins and it's exactly what O wanted for a meal you want to fill and satisfy but you're not in the mood for a whole entree... even better I shared and tried the pizza (could be crisper but still yummy) and fried pickle CHIPS my fave way to have FP's - just wish the ranch dip wasn't so watered down. The beer cooler is shared with raw chicken, cooked chicken, produce, condiments, boiled peanuts. Did I mention the par cooked chicken wings are out into five gallon buckets without lids. I bet you 3/4 of those beers on tap are out of day and nasty. If the beer is on special it means it's really old. 80 taps is a horrible idea. Kegs have to be used up by 30 days. ( This experience started out by self seating and waiting at least 15 minutes for someone to stop by the table . The server took my drink order and brought it back promptly and took the entree order. Waiting 20 minutes for the order and the server said The order would be out within a few minutes. A couple seated next to our table. They came after we did the other appetizer in a entrées delivered before our entrée was brought out.. The server came back a few minutes after that and said there was a big mistake by someone taking our order and giving it to another patrons. So the bottom line is we mention to the server that we want or order out in five minutes and put in a carton so we could either back at our hotel simply because this experience was full of monsters. I am pretty picky about chicken wings. They were phenomenal here, at least the way I like them, small and cooked to where they are crispy with no juice but still moist. I had 6 each of Hot and the Blackened BBQ, sooo delicious! The ranch sauce is good, as well as the blue cheese dressing, nice and thick and peppery. They didn't have green beer for St. Patrick's Day but carried Mcguires red ale, so they redeemed themselves with that. Will be back to try out the Funky Monkey sauce on the wings again. read more

We stayed at the Fairfield in on business... and probably went to Cheers 4/5 nights. It is sooo convenient to the hotel, but the reasons we kept coming back were the beers, food, and SERVICE. Every single waitress we had was friendly. It's a very low key relaxed environment, and we felt very comfortable and welcome. The beer selection was very good too! All those taps. Was staying at the Fairfield Inn in the Fort Walton area and didn't use a car and the hotel staff suggested going to Shalimar Cheers and at first I was apprehensive, but happy I made the choice. The food is decent and reasonably priced (ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and fries for $5.95). They have a total of 80 beers on tap and they are all way cheaper than most Ohioan major cities. If you on a budget or just beer connoisseur, check this place out! But please be aware this is not a fancy place if that's what you are expecting. read more

THE SERVICE: The waitresses are amazing. Our waitress for the past 4 visits has been Nicole, she is extremely fun and actually works to know her customers and remember their favorite orders. Don't let this hidden gem escape ya! Not gunna lie I live right up the road and have had a couple of my friends tell me to check this place out and I never listened. Recently we have exhausted all of our typical places we go to so I looked up the menu here at Cheers. My Wife was sold on the chili dog and chili Mac being that she's from Ohio. We were pleasantly surprised! This is the best chili Mac and chili dog you will find in the area. I got the Rich Wally which is basically a burger with no bun. It was pretty good but you better like mushrooms which I do. This is a small restaurant bar so the atmosphere isn't like a TGI Fridays or anything. They seem to have a lot of beers on tap and looks like a fun place to grab a beer with some co workers. Been here for a week now and finally will jot down a review. All their food is very good pub food. Had a pizza...request a little extra sauce, the pizza seems a little lacking in sauce. Other than that, the pizza was very good with lots of flavor. Hamburgers are very good also but the only down side is no variation in doneness. I like medium rare burgers... So my roommate, her kid, and I decided to go here Friday night. She loves a specific beer they have and I love the hot jerk wings and the kid likes the funky monkey and it had been a while since we had been in. When we walked up the very polite male... bartender I think ran up and held the door open for us. We then walked to the bar and my roommate got her beer, and the kid and I went ahead and got a Sprite and a water, the female bartender who made our drinks pretty promptly then asked where we would be sitting we told her over by the window she said ok. We went and sat down then the kid wanted to play on one of the tablets they used to have but apparently no longer had so they went and got his from the car. They get back and then the wait starts, it was pretty busy and it looked like only 2 servers working and they were definitely working after about 25 minutes and watching the waitress give the table next to us their 3rd round of refills when we hadnt even been given menus or had our existence acknowledged since we sat down my roommate who was a tad tipsy was starting to fume with anger so i tried to get the attention of both waitresses at different times politely as possible, when they passed by the table I'd say "excuse me, miss" "excuse me ma'am" "please maam starving child" he was about in tears he had waited all day for cheers he had had lunch 6 hours prior but he loves cheers and was so excited for it he actually requested it for dinner when he was asked what reward he wanted for doing so well in school lately. I even raised my hand like a student at one point all my attempts were blatantly ignored though, they treated us like we were invisible, so after another 25 minutes of not being acknowledged no matter what I tried my roommate was about to make a scene she was very upset, so the kid and I finally agreed to just give up and we all walked out, roomate didnt touch her beer because she had wanted to get some food in her stomach before she drank any more, I drank my water, and the kid drank his Sprite. Tried one last time to get a waitresses attention saying excuse me and waving money but again ignored so we just left. read more
