If you're looking for upscale and current lightening, fans, appliances etc this is the store to visit. They have beautiful pieces and quality items here. My sister had an appointment and a point person who was knowledgeable and helpful. He doubled checked her orders and searched for additional pieces for her. My husband and I stoped by to look at bathroom fixtures and lights. We were in the store approximately 20 minutes and were never greeted by anyone on staff. Many of whom were not with a customer. So much for customer service. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

We purchased a house in the area and our builder used Shallotte Electric for our appliances, lighting, etc. The GE washer we had originally was very loud during the spin cycle. The GE rep came out, updated software, but the washer continued to sound like a jet engine. I talked to Shallotte Electric (Melissa) and showed her what the washer was doing and she worked with the delivery team who brought us a new washer last week that works perfectly (so far). We appreciated the great customer service. And their showroom is so nice to wander around in, too! read more

This is an awesome business. They actually really care about their customers. After placing a large custom order, a tragedy struck my family. I was unable to pick up and pay for the order. They didn't flinch and offered a full refund of my deposit. Very unexpected as other business dealings didn't remotely try to accommodate me. We bought all the appliances for a home renovation here through our contractor. From nasty and inflexible sales people like Missy to incompetent delivery people who could not correct install delivered appliances three different times and Wayne, who "borrowed" one of my tools and then refused to return it, dealing with Shallotte Electric was a miserable experience. I had a very pleasant experience in the hardware portion of your store on March 21, 2012. I was looking for some sprinkler parts and as soon as I walked in the door Bobby asked if he could help me. Although this was probably the 2nd time I've been in the store, Bobby treated me like I was one of your best customers. It took some effort to find the parts I needed but he stayed with me until I was satisfied. Shallotte Electric has a great selection of light fixtures and bathroom fixtures. We bought our bathroom sinks, toilets, and fixtures from them in 2014. A year later when one of the toilets kept running, the owner came out and fixed it. I was impressed. My husband still shops there, buying plumbing and electrical supplies he's using for his many home improvement projects...lol. I like it that they are family owned and operated. read more
