We are .4 miles from Shalom Grill and order food during the workday 1-2/week. 50% of the time the food is tepid. Just paid $120, including expedited delivery fee for burgers and fries and the food is below room temperature, through and through. Not just cool to the touch on the outside but actually cold throughout the meat patties and fries. Why did I not just walk or drive over? Because every single time my husband or I have been inside the store, the service is appalling, even hostile. No way this place is run by shomer Shabbos people. We'll never order again from the Grill or Shalom Pizza (which is filthy inside) again. read more

He told us because they contract through a third party it's out of their hands and there's nothing he can do. He refused to give us any number to call, either the manager or the delivery service. I have tried this place 3 separate times because it is close to me. I love that they are open late. However, the cashier is absolutely despicable. Went there last night for fish tacos and falafel. Both were amazing. Hard to get a good falafel ball - these were crispy outside and soft and green on the inside. They also have a really nice bonus - free hot tea! How great after a nice dinner.... Service is great - they are very friends and get your food fast, the owner was there as well and he went out of his way to make sure we were getting good service including bringing us 2 cups of tea himself. I've been here many times before, but it seems like they are reinventing themselves and food is really good now. 2 other things I usually get - steak kabob / fried chicken sandwich - best kosher place for either of those two options. Ambiance is good - it's a pick up place - they have nice heaters outside which are nice on a summer night in LA. Will def. be back. read more

i went to shalom grill last night with my niece and nephew, and it was pretty good! the place is cute, not too fancy, but nice enough for a little family dinner. we ordered the hummus and pita to start, and oh my goodness, that hummus was delicious. creamy and smooth, just how i like it! the pita was fine, but it could've been a bit warmer, i think. i had the shawarma plate, and wow, it was really flavorful! the spices were perfect. the meat was a little greasy tho, not bad, just more than i'm used to. my nephew had the falafel, and he thought it was good, but he said it was a bit dry. i tried a bite and thought it was fine, but maybe i like my falafel a little drier than he does! the only thing that wasn't so great was the service. we had to wait quite a bit to get our drinks refilled, and they weren't even that busy. the staff was friendly, just seemed a little forgetful or distracted. the prices were pretty reasonable, especially for how much food we got. we all left with leftovers, which is always a nice bonus. overall, i'd give it 4 stars because of the slow service and that oily shawarma, but i'd still go back. it's a nice place for a casual dinner with family! read more
