Parantha, tofu saag, garlic naan, chicken korma, rice.

In Santa Monica for vacation and stopped by for lunch. We were the only ones dining in at the time. Seems like a lot of people do takeout from this location as quite a few people came to pick up their orders while we were eating. We got the vegetable pakora for our appetizer which came with two chutneys. The pakora was crispy and a good portion size. For entrees we ordered tofu masala but received tofu saag instead. We didn't care about this error and ate the tofu saag which was fine. The chicken korma (asked for mild) was delicious but a little spicy. The parantha and garlic naan were very fresh and delicious. Ended up taking home some of both curries and the naan. Overall the atmosphere and service is okay but the food is great.

Was so happy with my recent order. Food was delicious! Especially the Lamb Vindalu and Butter Chicken. Samosas were cold and dry. Eggplant dish was tasty but not the best I've had of it.

This place has gotten a remodel! They changed the carpet to hardwood floor which is nice. This place is great for dine in as there are lots of seats. They do get busy for to go orders. Food review: the food is very good, it's got all the favorites and they are all solid. Don't expect this to be a Michelin star food but it's pretty good and better than the other locals.

This place always hits the spot! Everything is always so flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the portions are just enough for two people to share. I've always dined-in and the restaurant is usually empty, but there's a constant flow of people picking up take-out orders.

Called a take out order for lunch. Took 30 minutes, not the predicted 20-25, but I was invited to sit while I waited. Restaurant is pleasant with Indian music playing. Nothing fancy but clean. Ordered two lunch specials: the vegan thali which comes with a veggie salad , and the chicken korma with raita. Both come with two sides - the veggies of the day, naan and rice. The main dishes were delicious. The korma sauce was gently spiced and the chicken was very tender. The tofu in the thali was a great texture and the flavor of the dish was very nice. The veggies were a bean/lentil dish, and a mixed veggies dish. Both were very good. The raita was delicious, the spicy mint sauce was fun, too. The salad was fresh and crunchy. The only disappointment in the meal was the naan. It was beautiful but the dough was tough and hard to chew. Maybe overworked? Wasn't worth eating, really. It was more food than my husband and I could eat, so we have some leftovers. Next time we will share one lunch special and an order of samosas (2 for $6.95) which looked delicious. Hopefully next time the naan will be as good as everything else!

Came in late and we were all alone but this place was incredible. All the food was flavorful and the spice levels were just right (even after my brother asked for "as spicy as you can make it" and I had to tell him to calm down). Loved the mango lassi & shahi paneer the most. The paneer was light and tasty, highly recommend if you want to try a new paneer dish. We tried it with both the garlic naan and chili naan. The chicken biryani was not bad-- the rice wasn't incredibly flavorful, ours was just pretty spicy. The portion size was smaller than expected for that dish, and raita portion was larger-- wish it had been included. It was my brother's birthday so we ended with mango ice cream and it was so so yummy! Perfectly blended, some of the better mango ice cream I've had. The restaurant seated us in a cute corner and I enjoyed the neutral colored ambiance of the restaurant. Everything was clean and tidy.

Excellent food; low prices; quick service. Hidden in a shopping mall so keep your eyes open.

I always count on great food and great service here. What a wonderful way to start the year. I had 42 D Chef's Choice. It was scrumptious.

How much is the lunch buffet? And the hours for it?

We went there yesterday. Buffet was $10.95 plus tax. I'm not sure about the buffet hours. Selection was nice, and taste was delicious.

Is there a difference in quality between the buffet and ordering a la carte?

As in all buffets the food is made in batch style, so when you order a la carte it's made to order hence a fresher dish. I love the buffet it's great but if ur not in a rush and want the full experience I recommend selecting off the menu. These guys… Read more

Now that we have tried it, we'll be back again soon! You know how sometimes all the dishes at an Indian restaurant start tasting the same? That is most definitely not the case here. Every dish had a unique flavor profile, and some were quite different from anything I'd had before. Purple potato ragda patty: This was by far my favorite - it was practically a work of art. Sweet, sour, savory, tangy, salty. So good, like a party in my mouth. Calangute calamari: Had a nice crisp exterior. The accompaniments, especially the passion fruit salsa, were incredible. Truffle mushroom kulcha: If you like mushrooms, you should definitely get this beautiful puffed bread. Asado branzino fillet: Slightly spicy and salty, more filling than you might expect Butter chicken: A well done Indian standard Pheni nest: A delightful, sweet but not too sweet dessert. Loved the contrast of textures They have a charming outdoor patio, and service was helpful and attentive.

The place was moderately busy; but, there appeared to be only 2 servers and a busboy taking care of the entire main dining room and the patio. They seemed pretty stressed. The noise level was higher than I expected. It was due to several families appeared to have run into each other and they were all standing around having loud conversations while being oblivious to other guests' personal space. As far as the food, the menu looked enticing offering upscale dishes with ingredients like truffle. Good concept; unfortunately the execution was a fail. The truffle mushroom kulcha had no truffle flavor; not even the 2 slices of truffle on top. The crust was quite tough; so much so that it was difficult to cut even with a steak knife. My jaw was sore after chewing on the crust for a while. The calamari was also quite tough and chewy. The purple potato ragda patty was the only dish I thought was decent. The black truffle jhinga biryani special was also completely void of truffle flavor and a bit overly salty. Then when the check came it had a "Surcharge Fee" of 3.5% without any explanation. It turned out to be a fee to help pay for the kitchen staff. This hit one of my pet peeves. Why is it not the restaurant's responsibility to pay their staff a fair wage? We are already paying for the meal and a 20% tip and they just sneaked in a mandatory "surcharge". While it was just a few dollars it was more of an issue of principles. Why not just be honest and have the guts to raise the prices of the dishes if they can't afford to pay the staff a fair wage?
